Chapter 1904: Wu Zhangkong Vs. the Transformation Sovereign

He had naturally witnessed Qiangu Dongfeng's demise, but it didn't seem to have affected him at all.

Qiangu Dieting had his own resolve, and in reality, he had already prepared to sacrifice himself even before arriving on this battlefield.

Meanwhile, Wu Zhangkong was in a stalemate of sorts with his opponent, who was a tall and broad abyssal creature that was giving off a cold aura.

He appeared to be no different from a normal human, except he was over 2.5 meters tall, and his entire body was rippling with bulging muscles.

What was most intriguing about him was his arms, which were able to shapeshift into all types of different weapons.

His cold eyes were glowing with yellow light, and he was evenly matched with Wu Zhangkong.

In his suit of four-word battle armor, Wu Zhangkong's powers rivaled those of a Limit Douluo, and he was unleashing one fierce attack after another with his Skyfrost Sword.

At this moment, he was in a very special tranquil state, and it was the first time he had felt this way ever since Long Bing's death.

Perhaps killing Dark Hummingbird had lifted the massive burden that had weighed on his heart for all these years, and as a result, he was feeling better than ever.

His Skyfrost Sword felt like an extension of his own body, and he was able to make perfect use of all of his soul skills and abilities.

His opponent was the Transformation Sovereign, who was ranked seventh among the abyssal sovereigns, and his ability was transformation, allowing him to adopt all types of shapes and forms that suited him in battle.

What was more interesting about him was that once he took on a certain form, he would be able to attain similar corresponding abilities.

For example, his arms had currently transformed into the sickle-like appendages of the Sickle Emperor, and each slash was imbued with a peerlessly sharp aura.

Two of the gashes on Wu Zhangkong's battle armor had been inflicted by this pair of sickles.

Furthermore, the Transformation Sovereign possessed incredible physical resistance, so Absolute Zero's effect on him wasn't very pronounced.

All of a sudden, the Transformation Sovereign rushed forward and slashed his sickles violently toward Wu Zhangkong.

An all-out attack aided by a short run-up was the bread and butter of the Abyssal Evil Sickle Race, and it was very direct and simple, yet extremely effective.

Wu Zhangkong took a half step backward, then switched to a two-handed grip on his Skyfrost Sword before slashing it upward.

A loud clang rang out, and Wu Zhangkong was forced back while his Skyfrost Sword tremored violently.

He flapped his wings as he unleashed his Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, instantly taking him behind his opponent.

In the confined space of this grid, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track became extremely important in melee combat.

After evading the Transformation Sovereign's subsequent forward charge, Wu Zhangkong slashed his Skyfrost Sword through the air, unleashing his Frostsong Icewheel, instantly conjuring up nine giant swords that came crashing down toward his opponent. At the same time, a large plume of frosty mist erupted out of his body, filling the entire grid to dull the Transformation Sovereign's senses.

In response, the Transformation Sovereign's back suddenly began to bulge, forming a giant shell.

The nine giant swords struck him one after another amid a string of resounding booms, but they weren't able to actually wound him. The form that he had just taken on was that of the most defensively adept race in the abyssal plane.

At the same time, his sickle-like appendages returned to the form of human arms, but strangely enough, this was a pair of slender arms that looked as if they belonged to a woman. The Transformation Sovereign circled his arms in front of himself, and a black hole instantly appeared before him, releasing enormous suction force to devour the icy mist in the air, thereby clearing up the grid again.

This was the Black Sovereign's devouring ability!

The most fearsome aspect of the Transformation Sovereign was his versatility, and he was able to use the abilities of virtually all of the abyssal rulers. Thankfully, his imitations were always slightly lacking compared with the real deal.

Through Wu Zhangkong's observation, he discovered that the Transformation Sovereign's transformations were more powerful when he adopted the form of an abyssal creature similar to his own. For example, he was able to unleash at least 80% of the Sickle Emperor's power upon adopting the sickle-like appendages, but his arms were naturally very different from those of the Black Sovereign, so at the very most, he was only able to unleash around 50% of her power.

Even so, that was more than enough to complete the simple task of devouring some ice mist.

The most frustrating thing about battling the Transformation Sovereign was that he was always able to use the best ability at the most suitable moment.

Wu Zhangkong wasn't fazed in the slightest by the disappearance of his frost mist, and he immediately unleashed his sixth soul skill, Condensing Frost.

The surrounding air temperature instantly plummeted, and the blue light radiating from the Skyfrost Sword instantly became clearer and purer. At the same time, Wu Zhangkong unleashed his Absolute Zero to further drop the air temperature in the grid.

In response, the Transformation Sovereign's body became very bulky, but he also grew a pair of wings and charged forward like a winged wrecking ball.

Absolute Zero was unable to harm him, but it was able to make his movements more sluggish.

Furthermore, through the course of their battle, he discovered that the lower the temperatures were, the more powerful Wu Zhangkong's Skyfrost Sword would become.

Thus, he had to stop Wu Zhangkong from unleashing Condensing Frost.

Countless frosty lines began to appear in the air, and Wu Zhangkong's body also took on an illusory quality. At the same time, his battle armor suddenly lit up, and a white halo that was in the shape of a snowflake emerged from beneath his feet, instantly encompassing the entire grid.

In that instant, the entire grid was transformed into a world of snow and ice, and a vast abundance of ice elements filled every single nook and cranny of the grid, causing the air temperature to plummet to an unprecedented low.

At these temperatures, even the Transformation Sovereign could feel his own movements being severely restricted, and the frosty lines in the air were even managing to leave marks on his body.

The terrifying cold and sharpness in the air threatened to slice this entire space into ribbons, and the Transformation Sovereign instantly stopped in his tracks as he was struck by an overwhelming sense of peril. His body transformed once again, and it expanded drastically in size.

In the blink of an eye, his body expanded to take up over half of the space in the entire grid, and he began to give off an extremely foul odor.

His flabby rolls were like rucksacks that had been sewn onto his body, and the frosty lines in the air instantly sliced off these rolls of flab upon making contact, but as soon as it was sliced off, the putrid flesh would instantly disintegrate into nauseating toxic mist.

The Transformation Sovereign had taken on the form of a Ba'an, one of the first species of abyssal creatures that Tang Wulin had encountered, but an ordinary Ba'an definitely wasn't this massive.

The form that the Transformation Sovereign had currently adopted was none other than that of the Ba Emperor, which was the ruler of the Ba'ans.

The Ba Emperor was naturally far inferior in power compared to the Transformation Sovereign, but it had a very powerful ability, which was instantaneous regeneration.

Among all of the abyssal creatures, the Ba Emperor definitely ranked near the top when it came to survival ability.

Thus, the Transformation Sovereign had immediately adopted this form as soon as he felt that something was amiss. The frosty lines were quickly slicing through the Transformation Emperor's body, but as a result, even more toxic mist was being released, and the severed flesh was rapidly regenerating.

The Ba Emperor's only vital region was its heart, but it was already very difficult to find its heart in such a massive body, and those woes were further compounded by the fact that the Ba Emperor could move its heart to any part of its body at will.
