The two of them were chatting in the dressing room. Outside the room, Jin Xiuli told her group members, “These programs from the Empire are so stupid.”

Jin Xiuli could not understand Chinese; she certainly could not tell if the programs were good or bad.

Still, she thought that those backup dancers couldn’t keep up with the group.

Outside the restroom, there was a line of performers waiting. When Jin Xiuli’s party arrived, they pushed straight ahead of others, trying to cut in the queue.
