“We can’t go down the mountain in bad weather like this.”

Xie Yi stared at Shi Han helplessly. Shi Han motioned her to relax with him.

“Dad, there must be tons of people who are stuck on the mountain now. I don’t know if there are enough rooms for everyone to stay.”

“Let me go ask.”

Xie Xuning opened the thick curtains and walked out. The relentless wind carried some scattered snowflakes into the room, which fell on the ground and quickly melted away.

She Han asked, “Are you feeling better?”

Xie Yi nodded and said, “I am much better.”

Shi Han felt Xie Yi’s forehead, which was slightly cold. He was worried that she might get sick.

It was his fault for being inconsiderate in the first place. They shouldn’t have gone up the mountain today.

“I’m fine.”

Xie Yi took dozens of deep breaths before she could release the suffocating air in her chest.

Xie Xuning returned half an hour later with a ceramic teapot in his hands.

“It was so cold today that I made sure to ask them to cook some ginger soup. You guys should have a sip of it so you don’t catch a cold.”

Xie Xuning poured a cup of ginger tea and handed it to Ye Tianxin. He said, “Tianxin, hand it to Dr. Xie.”

Xie Xuning thought that Xie Yi was probably still in shock because she fell in the plum grove today.

It would’ve been unfortunate if she caught a cold due to that incident, which could affect her surgery.

The ginger soup had brown sugar and ginger shreds, which tasted a little spicy and sweet.

Xie Yi took the ginger soup from Ye Tianxin. Her depressed mood nearly vanished after taking a sip of the soup.

“Mr. Xie, you are so considerate. I didn’t even think about the ginger soup.” Shi Han praised Xie Xuning for his thoughtfulness.
