1591 Two People In Love

That young lady's eyes turned red. "Can you guys not be so hostile? You guys probably don't know the pain my uncle is in."

Bai Yaoyao did not know what happened back then, so she was not in the position to say too much either. However, she did ask what she was puzzled about. "If you guys were persistent enough that day at the mall, you would have caught up with us."

"My uncle's illness acted up when he got agitated."

In the end, Bai Yaoyao sighed sentimentally. She then went back in to find Sixth Aunt.

She knocked on Duan Xinya's door and asked, "Sixth Aunt, can I come in?"

"The door isn't locked."

After Bai Yaoyao went in, she saw Duan Xinya standing by the bedside and looking outside. Everything outside could be seen clearly from this room.

Bai Yaoyao pursed her lips and said, "Sixth Aunt, since you still care about him, why don't you go outside to see him? It's about to rain now. I heard from that young lady that her uncle's condition isn't good. It sounds pretty serious. He can't stand another blow."

Hearing Bai Yaoyao's words, Duan Xinya's hands trembled and went almost unnoticed. "Yaoyao, do you know that I was belittled, insulted, and chased out of the Gao family back then?"

Bai Yaoyao trembled before asking, "How could that be?"

She had experienced the feeling of being chased out before, so she could understand that kind of pain and desolation. She walked over and held Duan Xinya's hand as she said, "Sixth Aunt, don't be sad."

"Yaoyao, I was twenty-five years old at that time, around your age. I'm in my thirties now. These past few years, I don't even know if I love or hate him, or if I have forgotten him."

"Sixth Aunt, I can tell that his feelings for you are true? Could there be a misunderstanding? Time waits for no man. Don't let a misunderstanding come between the both of you."

Bai Yaoyao's words swayed Duan Xinya a little, but she still did not go out.

Bai Yaoyao only kept Duan Xinya company for a while before she went out. She was not an involved party, and these kinds of things could only be settled if both parties were willing.

In the end, the sky was booming with thunder. That man kneeled on the ground and pleaded for Duan Xinya to meet him, so he could explain everything that had happened back then.

However, Duan Xinya never went out.

n.o.body knew how long the rain and thunder went on. Eventually, that man fainted. The young lady with him sobbed uncontrollably and screamed, "Aunt, if you don't come and see uncle now, you won't see him again. Do you want to see him die? He didn't let you down back then. Can't you just hear him out? Aunt, I don't like you anymore. You're too cruel…"

In the end, Bai Yaoyao was the one who rushed out and called the ambulance to send him to the hospital.

However, when she looked back, she saw Duan Xinya standing at the courtyard with her eyes swollen and red as she got drenched in the rain.

Bai Yaoyao did not say a word and immediately called the car over and pulled Duan Xinya in as they headed to the hospital.

She then pulled the despondent Duan Xinya over to Gao Jifeng's bedside for her to keep him company. "Sixth Aunt, follow your heart. Don't leave regrets for yourself."

Duan Xinya sat by the bedside and stared at the haggard and thin Gao Jifeng as she started to cry.

When the two of them were inside, Bai Yaoyao sat outside with the young lady. The young lady was called Gao Weini. She started to tell Bai Yaoyao about what happened in the Gao family back then.

Bai Yaoyao could not help but sigh after she heard everything. It turned out that there were so many misunderstandings. The people who were really related by blood to the Gao family were Gao Weini's father and Gao Jifeng.

However, Gao Jifeng's stepmother and the son she brought along with her wanted to seize the Gao family's a.s.sets and kill Gao Weini's parents. They also wanted to ruin Gao Jifeng, so they seized the chance when he was not around to chase away the person he loved, who was Duan Xinya.
