Chapter 1297: Sleepless Night

Seeing that the gun was shooting towards the pebble, Yun Bixue was shocked. She turned and looked at Xie Limo with an ashen expression. Fortunately, he had been alert and prevented her from coming down.

Xie Limo held Yun Bixue's hand in one arm and comforted her silently. Pursing his lips gently, he whispered, “You just lack experience.”

In reality, her calm reactions had already been beyond his expectations.

After identifying the other party's location through the pebble, both of them whipped out their guns. They shot at the same time, killing the other party swiftly. Their chemistry and coordination were impeccable.

They then changed their locations hurriedly. Xie Limo moved swiftly, while Yun Bixue was just a few steps behind, following him closely.

Yun Bixue squatted behind Xie Limo and whispered beside his ear, “We're just killing these people? Aren't we going to capture a few to find out more leads?”

Xie Limo shook his head. “These people are gunmen hired by the mastermind. We won't be able to get anything out of them. If we capture them, we'll reveal our whereabouts instead. Killing them would serve as a warning to our enemies. Besides, their boss still hasn't appeared. If we capture him, we might be able to find some leads.”

An idea popped into Yun Bixue's mind, and she whispered into Xie Limo's ear.

Xie Limo reached out his hand and gently caressed her hair. His eyes were filled with seriousness.

Yun Bixue continued, “The messier, the better. Since the other party could blow up all the ammunition, it shows that they've realized that someone has been keeping an eye on them. They can exploit this crisis and strike, but so can we. We can kill off several enemies with this opportunity.”

As Yun Bixue said the last sentence, she gestured across her neck, ready to kill.

In the past, Yun Bixue might have been soft-hearted. But after experiencing so much, she knew that her soft-hearted nature would only cost Xie Limo and her lives.

Therefore, she learned to remain calm and rational. She also understood what sort of matters required immediate actions, and to kill if necessary.

A bright glint flashed across Xie Limo's eyes, his fondness for his wife was evident in them.

He held her hand and gave Xie Wu and Xie Liu a call. Instructing the Xie family's men there, he tried to also bait the opponents towards him.

In just a few minutes, the dark storehouse was filled with shouts and grunts.

Yun Bixue and Xie Limo spent those few minutes changing their appearances. Mixing into the crowd, they walked into the storehouse too.

The men from the Xie family aimed at the opponents hired by the mastermind. In the midst of the chaos, they killed them off cleanly.

Killing an opponent felt just like any other action to Yun Bixue. Although her heart was trembling, she didn't back off at all.

She knew that she couldn't just talk about helping Xie Limo settle his problems. She had to act on it too.

It was a sleepless night. The harbor was extremely chaotic, and the number of casualties was sky-high. Even a few officers had lost their lives.

In the end, a variety of cars from the different service departments pulled up, and all the relevant rescue parties showed up. Doctors and nurses all rushed to the scene to help.

However, the chaos was already at its end. The Xie family retreated in time, and Xie Limo drove off together with Yun Bixue.
