Chapter 121. Dark World (2)

‘That… shitty bastard…’

I tried cursing in my head, but I thought that the situation itself wasn’t all that bad. I did feel bad about having this kind of thought in the current situation, but if all my assumptions were correct, it meant that I had gained an ally that was just as strong as Cha Hee-Ra and Kim Hyun-Sung.

‘And one that’s completely loyal to me…’

The perfect ally.

At this point, I was relieved that I didn’t choose summoner as my job.

‘A new type of summon…’

Not only was the shaman in front of me the owner of a large guild in Celia, but she had a different type of magic power that allowed her to see the past and the future. Even though I couldn’t really evaluate her powers, when considering just her stats and potential, she was more useful than Jung Ha-Yan and naturally, the corner of my lips went up.

‘I guess it’s in my nature to be trash.’

Naturally, I had to confirm a few things before completely trusting her to be my ally and I was also curious about other things. I had no choice but to talk to the shaman that was looking at me anxiously.

“I’ll ask a few more questions. How did I die in the dark world?”

It was what I was most curious about.

“I don’t know,” Yuno answered.

“Are you saying that you can’t see it?” I asked.

“Yes, I can’t see it. It’s probably because I died before you did, Master,” she answered.

“Is that so? How did you die?”

“I died for you, Master. I couldn’t see it clearly, but I do know that I didn’t have any regrets about my final moments,” she answered.

“Hm… then I’m curious as to how we got to know each other,” I said.

“I’m sorry, but what do you mean?” she asked.

“It’s like I said. You already know that I’m able to see other people’s information and thanks to you opening your information to me, I was able to check your stats…” I answered.

“Yes,” she said.

“You’re a mage with magic stats of 96, a legendary-ranked job and attribute. Actually, maybe sorcerer is a better description,” I said.

“You’re right,” she said.

“I’m not certain since the dark world you speak of is something I can’t see, but I’m sure I wasn’t strong in that world either,” I told her.

“That’s not true. You were braver than anyone else…”

“That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m simply talking about physical stats. Am I right?” I asked.

“Yes, that’s true,” she answered.

“The question is—why didn’t you resist me? You said that you saw me choking you, but the explanation regarding that was missing and it applies even more under the condition that the two of us in the dark world met a lot later than our present selves,” I explained.

“That’s true. I didn’t see the exact date, but I know that you and I of the dark world met two to three years later from today,” she said.

“So we met when you were 22 years old,” I commented.

“Yes.”

“Well, it doesn’t really matter when we met because the point is that you’re a lot stronger than me,” I told her.

“Th-That’s not possible,” Yuno stuttered.

“I’m right. To be frank, if you wanted to kill me, I would’ve already died both here and in the dark world. How come the Yuno in the dark world didn’t kill me?” I asked.

I couldn’t help but be curious. I had no idea why, but I had apparently been abusing the shaman in the past life and her mental state wasn’t in the best condition for her to say that she had agreed to be abused. I considered the possibility that I might have used a potion or some other method, but I was sure that it wouldn’t work on a strong person like her. The shaman could have had many opportunities to escape from me and despite that, she stayed; she must have had a reason for staying.

The shaman in front of me must’ve agreed to my question because she slowly nodded and I realized that I had asked a key question.

“That’s…”

“That’s?”

“It’s because the master of the dark world was someone I loved,” Yuno said.

Her unexpected answer caused me to tap the chair arm for a moment and she continued to talk. ”I can’t tell you the details because I can’t feel the emotions myself, but the me in the dark world definitely looked like she was in love with you.”

“Did you grow fond of me while treating me?” I asked.

“That’s a possibility, but I believe that it was destiny that pulled us together,” she said.

“I see…”

“I started becoming more worried about you and my head was filled with you more and more. Of course, I started spending more time with you and while I was watching us in the dark world, I felt like I could feel my emotions toward you that I couldn’t help but be touched,” Yuno said.

‘Am I a womanizer or something?’

I had never thought of myself as handsome. Although my eyes were small, I wouldn't say that I was terrible in the looks department, but it wasn't enough to say that I was a handsome man.The word handsome suited our lovely Kim Hyun-Sung more than me. He was strong, had large eyes, a sharp nose, and very pretty lips. On top of that, he was fit, so it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that he was almost perfect.

‘His personality isn’t that bad either…’

Kim Hyun-Sung was the most suitable person to be in love with. My thoughts did wander off, but basically, it was difficult for me to understand why these types of women were attracted to me.

‘...’

For Jung Ha-Yan, I made her like me because she had been forced into a corner, but for the others, I had no idea why they were obsessed with me. To make things worse, I hadn’t even done anything significant in my past life and yet a competent woman like her stayed beside me. Of course, it wasn’t confirmed that this was truly the case.

‘At this point, maybe I have an attribute related to that or something.’

I thought that maybe the words charmed or seduction would be written in the description of the attribute.

“I think that was the reason why I was able to accept everything about you, Master,” she said.

“What about me? Did I love you?” I asked.

“I don’t think so, but I’m sure that I was one of the people you could rely on emotionally. Yes, I’m sure of it,” she answered.

I didn’t know what the Lee Ki-Young of the past life felt, but she may be right. When I lightly nodded as if I agreed with her, I saw her bowing again.

“I somewhat understand,” I told her.

“Th-Then…”

“Your explanation makes sense. The fact that you revealed your information and status window to me was very impressive and I can see that you’re really able to see the future, past, and the dark world, so there’s no reason for me to confirm it myself. In my eyes, I can see the attribute you possess,” I explained.

“Oh...”

“Still, it’s not enough,” I added.

“Excuse me?” Yuno asked.

“I’m a very suspicious person. I’m curious as to why you brought up the dark world to me and told me about yourself in that world and I’m wondering whether you’ve been telling me exactly what you saw. The Lee Ki-Young in the dark world and I aren’t the same people, just like how you in the dark world aren't the same as you are right now. Of course, I won’t deny the fact that we may have been influenced by them, but all this sounds ridiculous to me. Do you understand?” I asked.

“O-Of course,” she answered.

She was trembling. She seemed a bit anxious and looked as if she was worried that I was going to kick her out.

“That’s not the only thing. There’s no guarantee that everything you’ve told me is true. I’m also worried that you’re only telling me what you want to tell me. I’m not sure why you’re calling me master and honestly, it makes me feel uncomfortable. How many people in the world would actually believe this kind of nonsense?”I asked.

“Ooh…”

“What should I do so that I can believe you?” I asked.

“Th-That’s…”

“The dark world you’ve told me does nothing for me and it’s not enough for me to be your master. What needs to be done in order for us to have the relationship you want?” I asked Yuno.

It was a shitty deal, but this was the right thing to do.

“I-If you want, I-I can do whatever you want,” she answered.

“That’s not the kind of thing I want because if we do establish that kind of relationship, what’s yours will eventually be mine, or is the fact that you want to have a relationship just all talk?” I asked her.

“N-No. E-Everything that I have belongs to you, Master. I-It’s true,” she answered.

“Is there a way for me to control you? Actually, have you thought of a way where I can accept you without any worries?” I asked.

“Of course. Th-There is a way because you had always been a suspicious person. I do have a way,” she said.

Yuno looked a bit excited.

“I’d like it if you explained it to me,” I said.

“It’s an enchantment,” she answered.

“An enchantment?”

“Yes. It’s an enchantment that’ll help you possess me and I can transfer the ownership of my body to you, Master,” she explained.

‘Is that even possible?’

I had never heard of this before. I tried recalling similar spells, but nothing came to mind, so it must be an enchantment that only belonged to her. It would make sense if she prepared this enchantment just for this day.

“It’s a type of enchantment where I suppress myself and after connecting my body to your mind…”

“I understand what you’re saying, but…”

I was worried that the opposite might happen, but I didn’t want to think about that possibility. Just like how she desperately wanted me to be her master, I also wanted this item named Kasugano Yuno. I quickly wanted to take her in my hands without having to do something so complicated like having a conversation and even though I didn’t like gambling, I would gain a lot just by throwing the dice once.

“Let’s see it,” I told her.

“Okay. Then I’ll quickly start the ritual,” she said.

I saw Yuno smiling brightly with her eyes closed and even though I couldn’t see her exact expression, she looked as if she had gotten everything that she wanted. It was as if she had just won the lottery.

I did flinch a bit when she took out a small dagger from her pocket, but then I saw her cutting her arm because her blood must have been necessary as a medium in order to complete the enchantment.

‘I wonder if it’s similar to alchemy…’

“Please wait a moment… it’s almost done. Almost!” she yelled.

“You can take your time,” I told her.

The way she hurriedly drew the enchantment circle on the ground was a sight to see. Despite me telling her that she could take her time, she looked like she was in a hurry. I considered myself a professional when it came to magic and alchemy, but when I looked at what she was doing, I couldn’t understand it. But there was one thing that I was sure of—this enchantment was a lot harder than I thought. Even as a high-ranking sorcerer, she barely managed to complete the enchantment since she used her blood as a medium. By the time she was done, her face was drenched in sweat. I didn’t know about anything else, but I knew that the spell was going to be really effective.

I watched her while feeling nervous and excited at the same time. She stood in the middle of the enchantment circle and Yuno turned her gaze to me before kneeling.

“Please come here,” she told me.

When I slowly walked toward her, a faint light spread from the enchantment circle that she drew. Juliena didn’t react to it so I knew that at the least, the enchantment wasn’t going to harm me. After the faint red light enveloped her, the shaman spoke again with a very satisfied expression. “I-I’m sorry but your blood…”

When Yuno looked up with her mouth open, I unknowingly cut myself and dripped my blood into her mouth.

“The person in front of me wants me to offer everything I have. This spell will be an unbreakable blood pact and no one can come between us,” she said.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light and for some reason, I thought that I had to grab her head and when I did, I saw a fragmented scene that I couldn’t understand. It was the scene where I was choking her. It was the dark world that Yuno saw.

‘I don’t need your useless pity, you dirty bitch. All of you are the same.’

‘Ohh… you poor man.’

‘Do you really think that you have the right to pity me?’

For a brief moment, I saw her hugging my body tightly while crying.

Whooooosh!

When I opened my eyes, I saw the enchantment circle being absorbed into her body.

“It was successful, Master,” she said.

She looked really happy, which made me feel bad.

‘I feel like a total trash…’

If the Lee Ki-Young from the past life saw this, I was sure that he would yell at me.

‘You’re a piece of shit, you bastard!’

I couldn’t help but feel ashamed.
