Kang Yoon-Soo’s life changed after he obtained his new class and became a god. There were many advantages to his new class; for one, various stats rose whenever he performed simple tasks that were expected of a god of the continent.
[You have set foot on the Sylphia Continent.]
[Your life force, mana, and stamina regeneration have increased by 300%.]
[A god will receive various buffs depending on the environment they are in.]
[Lush Overgrown Forest]
[Your affinity with elves, fairies, and animals has increased.]
[You may gain experience points toward the mastery of woodwork, woodcutting, and landscaping significantly faster.]
[You may temporarily use one skill (Master) unique to a Forester while in the forest.]
[You have tasted fresh water from a stream.]
[You may purify any body of water in the Sylphia Continent whenever you dip your finger in it.]
He was the god who managed the continent!
His abilities related to defense and preservation had been improved, as opposed to his abilities related to offense and destruction.
“Now, please explain what you meant by saying you’ve become the god of the continent,” Shaneth said.
“Hmm… I don’t think that guy has gone insane or anything…” Henrick muttered, rubbing his chin.
Shaneth and Henrick demanded an explanation, while Iris asked with tear-filled eyes, “Can you make meat pie? Kang Yoon-Soo keeps ignoring me… I will cry if you continue to ignore me…”
It was just about time for them to eat, so Kang Yoon-Soo decided to use his Authority of Creation once more now that the situation had reached such a state.
[Create ‘Freshly Baked Crispy Meat Pie’.]
[A pie made out of high-quality flour, sugar, cinnamon powder, and the ribeye of a free-range cow.]
+You have used more divine power than necessary due to the world’s balance being broken.
[You have used 310 Divine Power.]
[Remaining Divine Power: 4,960.]
“…” Kang Yoon-Soo silently grimaced when he saw that a meat pie cost 310 divine power when he had only used 43 divine power to restore his right arm.
‘I guess I shouldn’t carelessly use this power,’ he thought. The divine power it cost to create anything else aside from one of his own body parts was too high.
Meanwhile, his companions were dumbfounded when they saw a meat pie appear out of thin air.
“A pie suddenly appeared…” Shaneth muttered.
“I know it’s amazing, but isn’t this a bit lacking to prove that you’re a god…?” Henrick grumbled.
“A god is really amazing,” Iris said seriously after eating up the meat pie. However, she said critically, “This meat pie is really delicious, but it’s not as good as the meat pie Shaneth baked.”
“Are you really leaving a bad review after eating it all yourself?” Henrick grumbled.
“I was only appreciating Shaneth’s cooking skills. Ah, of course, the meat pie that Kang Yoon-Soo made was really good as well,” Iris added in response.
Kang Yoon-Soo explained what had happened since he left. He explained how he had met Sylphia, and that he had obtained the power of a god from her.
Henrick’s eyebrows rose in surprise as he asked, “Then, would you be able to make anything you want if you used that Authority of Creation?”
“I haven’t tested it yet,” Kang Yoon-Soo replied.
“Then try it out. I’m really looking forward to this one,” Henrick said.
Kang Yoon-Soo companions looked at him with expectant gazes.
“I’d create a book that would grant any wish if I were you,” Shaneth said.
“That’s a very clever idea. I was thinking along the same lines as well,” Henrick said with a nod.
“What about a mountain of apple pies?” Iris suggested, pitching in her own idea.
Kang Yoon-Soo had a rough list of items he wanted to create with the Authority of Creation, and he attempted to create them one by one.
[Magic Spear of Riberion—Unable to Create]
[The magic spear used by the King of All Things, Sirian, all his life.]
[It is considered to be the best spear on the entire continent.]
[You require 720,000 Divine Power to create this weapon.]
+It is impossible to create this weapon due to the world’s balance being broken.
[Time-Freezing Magic Scroll—Unable to Create]
[The rarest magic scroll on the continent, which can freeze time in a designated area for thirty seconds.]
[You require 220,000 Divine Power to create this magic scroll.]
+It is impossible to create this magic scroll due to the world’s balance being broken.
[Chaos Lord—Unable to Create]
[The Overlord of Chaos, who gets its powers through blood, corpses, and destruction, will grant one wish from the one who summons it.]
[You require 430,000 Divine Power to create this summoned being.]
+It is impossible to create this summoned being due to the world’s balance being broken.
[Ancient God’s Armor Set—Unable to Create]
[An armor set created by the ancient kingdom of Sharsyanon to show the greatness of their god of destruction.]
[This set of armor is a legendary relic that is considered a historical treasure of the continent.]
[You require 1,120,000 Divine Power to create this armor set.]
+It is impossible to create this armor set due to the world’s balance being broken.
[A Book That Grants an Infinite Number of Wishes—Unable to Create]
+It is impossible to create this item, as it has never existed on the Sylphia Continent before.
[A Skill That Can Instantly Kill the Demon Lord—Unable to Create]
+It is impossible to create this skill, as it has never existed on the Sylphia Continent before.
“I don’t have enough divine power,” Kang Yoon-Soo said. His party members seemed to be disappointed.
Unfortunately, it seemed that he required a huge amount of divine power to create powerful items, armor, weapons, or creatures through the Authority of Creation. On top of that, he did not have the authority to create such powerful items due to the world’s balance being broken.
That meant there was only one way for him to reclaim the authority that had been lost due to the world’s balance being broken, and that was to find the ‘One Who Should Not Exist’ and restore the balance of the continent.
‘I have no other option than to find that one who shouldn’t exist,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought.
Next, the time had come for him to test the other authorities he had received, the Authority of Annihilation and the Authority of Insight. He was able to activate the Authority of Annihilation after mustering his hostility and hatred toward the Demon Lord.
[Authority of Annihilation!]
[You may enact divine punishment and turn into a god of destruction.]
[Divine Punishment!]
[You may use your divine power to infuse divine punishment into your weapon to deal destructive damage.]
[A weapon infused with divine punishment will be strong enough to cause a natural calamity.]
[However, you may not infuse divine punishment into a weapon if its rating is lower than legendary.]
[Additionally, a weapon infused with divine punishment will exhaust all of its durability after use.]
[God of Destruction!]
[You will use all of the divine power you possess to transform into the god of destruction.]
[You will lose all your abilities to protect and create.]
[Destruction will be the only thing on your mind once you transform into the god of destruction.]
Divine Punishment was powerful enough to equal a natural disaster, but it required a legendary weapon to be used as an offering in return. It would not be a problem if Kang Yoon-Soo could create an unlimited supply of legendary weapons through the Authority of Creation, but he could not do that because the balance of the world was broken. On top of that, he would lose all of his divine power if he chose to transform into the God of Destruction.
‘I should save turning into the God of Destruction for later,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought.
He was certain that it would be a very destructive skill, as it would consume all of his divine power. As such, he simply decided to test out Divine Punishment for the time being.
Nearby, there was an anthill that was shrouded in mystery. It was inhabited by powerful Mutant Ants that had gained mana and grown stronger after eating mana stones. The swarms of Mutant Ants living in the mysterious anthill were all within the range of Level 300 to 400, and the boss of the anthill, the Queen Ant, was a powerful Level 550 monster.
Kang Yoon-Soo dragged his companions along to the dangerous anthill. However, he positioned himself and his party on a high cliff to ensure that they would not be caught up in the destructive power of what he was about to test.
“I shall enact divine punishment,” Kang Yoon-Soo said in a low voice while drawing his sword, which was infused with an unknown energy.
[You have infused the Divine Punishment of Earth into your sword.]
[The skills ‘Ground Destruction’, ‘Large-Scale Earthquake’, and ‘Great Landslide’ have been added.]
[You have used 920 Divine power.]
[Remaining Divine Power: 4,040.]
“Ground Destruction,” Kang Yoon-Soo muttered as he swung his sword.
The anthill that was as large as a small city crumbled in the wake of his swing.
“Kyaahk! Kakakaaak!” A swarm of Mutant Ants, which were larger than adult human men, rushed out from the anthill.
Kang Yoon-Soo stabbed his sword into the ground and muttered, “Great Landslide.”
Then, the stone mountains around the anthill trembled violently before beginning to collapse.
[You have triggered a massive landslide!]
[Two stone mountains have collapsed.]
Boulders the size of houses started to roll down toward the swarm of Mutant Ants and crushed them to a pulp, but a few of them somehow managed to squirm out and survive the onslaught of gigantic stones. The ones that managed to survive scurried away in an attempt to escape, but Kang Yoon-Soo mercilessly used another skill.
“Large-Scale Earthquake,” he shouted.
[You have triggered a massive earthquake!]
[The earthquake is so powerful that it will alter the entire landscape of the area.]
All of the Mutant Ants were destroyed when the earthquake combined with the array of other destructive skills used by Kang Yoon-Soo.
[You have destroyed the mysterious anthill at Celtron Forest!]
[You did not leave a single Queen Ant’s egg behind!]
[You have performed a perfect massacre.]
[You have lost 150 Divine Power for destroying a natural formation that took decades to form.]
[Your level has risen.]
Kang Yoon-Soo looked down at the devastated anthill and thought, ‘It was well worth going through the trouble of changing class.’
The anthill he had just destroyed was a place that would be difficult to raid even if hundreds of high-level adventurers gathered and formed a raid party, but he had been able to annihilate it easily with a few swings of his sword after changing his class and becoming a god.
‘On top of that, my weapon didn’t get destroyed,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought while looking at his sword.
The blade looked perfectly fine despite having just been infused with Divine Punishment. In fact, there was not even a tiny scratch on it. After all, it was the Immortal Sword. Thus, Kang Yoon-Soo would be able to use Divine Punishment to his heart’s content as long as he did not run out of divine power due to his indestructible sword.
Henrick finally acknowledged Kang Yoon-Soo after witnessing the merciless massacre he had just performed, saying, “You really are a god. An evil god.”
Lastly, Kang Yoon-Soo decided to test the final authority he had obtained—the Authority of Insight.
[Authority of Insight]
[A god can clearly watch over the Sylphia Continent with their own eyes.]
[You will be able to look anywhere on the continent in exchange for 200 Divine Power.]
[However, you will not be able to look into separate dimensional spaces created from magic, and are thus considered to be entirely different places from the continent.]
[You may enter another person’s consciousness with their permission.]
It was an authority that allowed Kang Yoon-Soo to see anywhere he wanted on the continent! He would be able to peek into any hidden places shut tightly behind bars, or even the secret meetings held by nobles, among other things.
A ring of light suddenly appeared from his body when he used the Authority of Insight. The ring soon rose high into the air, turning into the source of his vision. That allowed him to look across the entire continent as if it were being broadcasted from a satellite. Images of mountains, forests, and wilderness quickly flickered through the ring of light.
‘I should look into the Colossi’s Magic Tower,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought.
He was fully aware of the topography and layout of the magic tower, but he was just curious and wanted to see what Sirian was doing at the moment. However, the ring of light suddenly shattered into pieces the moment he tried to look into the magic tower.
[The area past the fog of mystery is an entirely separate place from the continent.]
[The Authority of Insight has been canceled.]
Unfortunately, the Authority of Insight could not peek into the magic tower.
‘This is more than enough,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought.
There were a lot of restrictions placed on his abilities because the balance of the world had been broken, but he was still a god nonetheless. He was able to call forth calamities just by infusing his sword with Divine Punishment and swinging it a few times. Thus, he was certain that his newfound abilities would be massively helpful in their journey toward the Colossi’s Magic Tower.
Kang Yoon-Soo went down to the devastated anthill and rummaged through the rubble to find the corpse of the Queen Ant, and found a strange crystal embedded within the razor-sharp fangs of the anthill’s boss monster.
[Crystal of Queen Ant Kazari]
A crystal treasure by the Queen Ant, Kazari. It is difficult to tell the true value of this crystal because its surface is riddled with all sorts of riddles.
+Only a seasoned researcher will be able to interpret the ancient writings engraved all over the crystal.
The crystal from the Queen Ant had strange writings and symbols engraved all over it. Normally, it would have to be taken to a researcher at the Imperial Academy, and a quest would start from there.
However, Kang Yoon-Soo did not have the luxury of time to travel all the way to the Imperial Academy. He quietly whispered the secret password that one would normally only obtain after clearing all seven quests related to the crystal.
“It feels new and exciting to walk into an unknown area,” Kang Yoon-Soo said, and the crystal started to shine brightly. For a while, it only continued to grow brighter before eventually cracking. After the crystal cracked open, letters shot out from it to form a sentence.
[I am the Adventurer Rekimond, and I have visited every single place on the continent.]
[I have ventured into every single forbidden area on the continent, as I was struck with wanderlust when I was a young boy.]
[The most memorable destination for me out of all my travels was the Colossi’s Magic Tower.]
[Ah! It still frightens me to this day!]
[There were dozens of Colossi roaming around the foggy perimeter of the magic tower.]
[The Colossi were very ill-tempered creatures that would attack anything that moved by trampling on them or squashing them.]
[The only reason I was able to come back alive from that dangerous place was all because of the assistance of the King of All Things, Sirian.]
[Someone spoke to me as I shivered in fear while hiding from the Colossi.]
[The man with the strange voice introduced himself as the protagonist of the legendary tale, the King of All Things, Sirian.]
[Of course, I did not believe the stranger with the strange voice at first. However, I soon believed that he was indeed Sirian after listening to the jaw-dropping tales he told me.]
[Sirian smiled before teaching me, someone who had accidentally stumbled into that place, the way to escape from the Colossi’s Magic Tower.]
[Right as I was about to express my gratitude after successfully escaping from that place, the man jokingly called out in a fading voice, “Farewell, new friend. I’m just being a busybody, but why do you seem as if you were born with the destiny of becoming a demon?”]
[I will turn into a demon?]
[I wonder what kind of silly destiny that is?]
[Anyway, the Colossi’s Magic Tower is a place where those who think their lives are precious should not dare to visit!]
[That tower is a forbidden area for a reason!]
Adventurer Rekimond was the one who had been trapped within the Winterkill Ruin and became corrupted into a Frost Demon; he was the one Kang Yoon-Soo had defeated along with the Martial Blood Clan.
[You have discovered one of the fourteen hidden diary pages of the Adventurer Rekimond.]
[You have obtained information regarding the forbidden area, the Colossi’s Magic Tower.]
[A new section related to the Colossi’s Magic Tower has been added to your legendary quest.]
A new legendary quest had appeared that signaled the start of their journey toward the Colossi’s Magic Tower to kill the King of All Things, Sirian.
