“Why?” Did she not like having younger siblings? Why would her heart ache?

Jiajia sat beside Zhai Hua and told her indifferently. “When the state started to allow for people to have another child, I heard Wei Wei ask grandma and grandpa whether you and Dad would have another child. If you were to have a son, would my dad still love him all the same, and whether grandma and grandpa would favor the youngest child instead of him? Grandpa remained silent but grandma immediately replied that he would never like any child that came from you. There was no one who could ever replace Wei Wei’s place in her heart.”

Jiajia knew that her younger siblings would never be welcome in the family and would even be forced to endure the horrible torture that she had already been through.

Jiajia also knew that her dad was a soldier and could not have a second child. As such, even after the state announced such a ruling, Jiajia had never once let known to Zhai Hua her desire of having a younger sibling. “But I’m finally becoming an elder sister! Hahaha! Mom, how many children do you think auntie is pregnant with? Do you think she’ll give me a younger sister or brother? Knowing that Qiao Nan was pregnant, Jiajia became the person who was most excited. That had been truly unexpected.
