The next day in the morning

Tang Nuanhua woke up groggily and her eyes stung when she tried to open them. Li Shao was not in the bed so she thought that he had gone to work.

When she was in the shower, she felt that her stomach was empty, and she was very hungry, so she went to the dining area after changing her clothes. Li Shao was eating breakfast downstairs and that morning, there was an uninvited guest there with him.

His name was Gu Yunwei who was not only Li Shao's right-hand man but also one of his best friends.

At that moment, he was sitting beside Li Shao and talking very animatedly: "Li Shao, as your good brother, l really cannot stand it anymore. You are still looking after your wife even after you got married? You even came back to this house. I really want to ask you why you even came back ah! To play the filial husband? But even if you play this role well, someone still needs to pay the bills ah!" Gu Yunwei spoke nonsense the more time he was given to speak.

"I heard that your fiancée is making messes outside and yet every day, you are at home figuring out your life and looking after the house. Everyone else does it the opposite way around. Why is it only in your marriage where the situation is reversed?"

However, Li Shao did not respond and calmly ate his breakfast. Whatever Gu Yunwei said was ignored.

Gu Yunwei sighed and gave up on his friend. "Hey! What kind of seductive moves did that woman pull on you? Are you so soft-hearted? Gu Yunwei said all these things not noticing that Tang Nuanhua was already behind him. Tang Nuanhua replied to his questions in cold tone: "You tell me who the trees are."

Turning around, Gu Yunwei saw Tang Nuanhua and he became pale. He looked like he had seen a ghost. "You! Don't tell me that you are Tang Nuanhua?"

"Who else would l be?"

Tang Nuanhua tilted her chin and looked very arrogant and proud. Well more like she tried to but instead looked cute and naughty. Gu Yunwei was completely dumb founded. This was actually Tang Nuanhua? Impossible! He could not forget Tang Nuanhua's appearance! Not even if he drank Grandma Meng's soup for forgetfulness in the afterlife. Those leopard print socks, large over-sized coats, all those tricks she used to pull…

But this morning, Tang Nuanhua looked like a fresh young girl and her beautiful face made her look like a fairy from the heavens.

"I say, did you go to Korea? How come you are different from the Tang Nuanhua l knew before?" Gu Yunwei then reached out and tried to pinch her face to see whether it was real or fake. Tang Nuanhua brushed his hand away: "You are the one who went to South Korea."

Gu Yunwei smiled and changed the subject: "Never mind that, why are you at home?"

Tang Nuanhua reb.u.t.ted quickly: "You asked a very strange question. Why should l not be in my own home? My wedding room has already been prepared and me and Li Shao share it. Do you have any opinions on this?"

After saying this, Tang Nuanhua went and stood behind Li Shao. She bent down and whispered in his ear: "Li Shao, don't listen to his nonsense. Although there is a large forest outside, there is a small branch at home. There is absolutely no tree in this house."

Translators note: Gu Yunwei really is looking out for his friend there. I appreciate that. I guess their relations.h.i.+p is the first one to have some sort of love in it atleast. Every other relations.h.i.+p is either toxic, getting even more toxic or gradually changing for the better.
