"It seems like you are forgetting that you are also a member of this clan. The same clan you are speaking so ill of."

The Grand elder spoke through his teeth in anger.

"Of course, I know I am part of this clan. I am not calling myself an exception. But I don't believe you are either."

The clan leader looked at both of them and felt extremely frustrated.

On one side is the person who is the Grand Elder. A senior for him in terms of age. A person he deeply respects and has to give some value to.

On the other side is the most talented prospect in the younger generation. Sivan's schemes, strategies and plans are best among his peers within their clan.

He is sneaky, and smart and now he is extremely resourceful.

In fact, the whole war against the Gaja clan is because of the resources that this young man provides. The partners.h.i.+p with the Divine league is also because of him.

He took a deep breath and spoke up.

"Both of you stop for a second."

Sivan and the Grand Elder matched stares. They are glaring at each other with pure hatred.

The other grand elders are looking at the whole fiasco with either amus.e.m.e.nt or anger. Either way, a youngster firing against a Grand Elder is something they are really interested in.

"What do you exactly want Sivan?"

"We need to capture all three of them. If something happens to them, you can expect h.e.l.l."

"Why is that?"

"You will not believe, even if I explain. But there is one more thing you need to consider for this. The dusk organization is way too big. They have way too many people and they are growing way too fast.

If something happens to them like this, things would go bad really fast. Capture them and I will make them surrender. The Dusk organization has way too many resources for us to ignore.

If we kill them, not only do we lose it all, we will also be getting a series of kamikaze attacks."

The clan leader turned to the Grand elder and asked.

"So, Grand Elder. You need to promise that you will be able to bring them safe and alive to Sivan. Only then can you go."

"How can I promise that? They are clearly hostile, what if they die in the clash accidentally?"

Everyone was dumbfounded.

They didn't expect this kind of reaction from Sivan.

Even when Sivan was a cripple and purely hated everyone with any authority in the clan, he was never one with nasty words. In fact, he was not a person with so many words.

But now, he is openly abusing a senior grand elder in front of every single person. This is a next-level insult.

"What did you say, you little b.a.s.t.a.r.d?" The old man shook in anger.

But Sivan ignored this and said.

"Clan leader, I don't care what you guys think of my behaviour. I have little regard for the opinion of the people here, but I want to get one thing straight. Everything that is related to Sam has to go by me.

And his friends need to be captured safely and I don't believe this grand elder would be able to do that job.

So, send someone else. Even if you have to send the Chaos brothers, I don't care. But they must not die and none of their equipment shall go missing."

The clan leader heaved a sigh.

"The meeting is dismissed. Everyone, get out now."

Sivan and the grand elder stayed even though everyone else left.

"I will make the decision regarding this and Grand Elder, you will not be going to this expedition. Instead, I will send my elite squad to do this."

"Your elite squad leader?"

"No, only the squad. The squad leader stays with me. I am sure whatever the thing there, a bunch of Late stages Astral Plane Consummate cultivators can handle it."

"Who knows."

Sivan muttered.

"Well, you cannot just tell me all kinds of a.s.sumptions and ask me to believe you blindly Sivan. I will at least give you the benefit of doubt about the things you described the Dusk.

"How is the attack on the Gaja clan going? How long before Lava worms are activated?" The clan's leader asked Sivan.

"We can activate any time we want, but if you want to have maximum impact, wait as much as you can. Until then, we need to cause some other damage. To create a distraction."

"You said, you demonstrated other products to the Grand elders. Is it ready to use?"

"Yes. It is a consumable one and making it is also a bit tough. If you take away this batch and use it, you will need for a month before you could use another batch."

It looked like a missile launcher mounted on a tripod.

He took out a crystal cylinder that has a pointy end. Through the translucent surface of the cylinder, one could see a very intricate network that is glowing with many glittering points here and there.

He carefully loaded the sh.e.l.l into the barrel of the launcher.

He then started aiming it as he looked through the telescope attached to the barrel.

Now he got a very clear view of the city. He aimed the barrel straight at the main building of the clan's estate.

He took a deep breath and pulled the trigger.

*SWISH*

With a red glow, the cylinder left the barrel and whistled through the air.

The shooter still looked through the telescope as he observed the sh.e.l.l moving.

The sh.e.l.l moved at an extreme speed that made it look like a flash. Barely three seconds later, it is already near the city and was noticed by the guards stationed at the wall.

It went past the city walls before they could even let the screams out of their throat and moved towards the main building of the clan's estate.

But the formation around the estate was activated, and the sh.e.l.l hit the barrier.

Instead of exploding right there and then, the cylinder stopped and hovered there trying to penetrate the barrier.

After two seconds of that, the crystal surface of the sh.e.l.l exploded.

*BOOM*

Apart from the explosion, a bunch of glittering coin-sized glowing circles were shot into the surrounding thirty-meter radius.
