Chapter 1484 - Run

As soon as the dome was completely formed, the domes changed up a bit a small tower popped up on each one of them.

The towers are glowing with elemental energy all around them. The puppets that are flying towards the city also started having a small extra glow on top of their heads as soon as the towers appeared.

They maintained a certain alt.i.tude as they penetrated the barrier dome without any trouble and hovered over the heads of the army.

The puppets moved in a certain way as some of them circled and some of them moved in very long orbits and some of them are moving up and down.

The old men completely ignored them. They couldn't sense any threat from them and one of them focused on the barrier. He pulled his arm back and threw a punch.

*BOOM*

The crystal barrier rippled with large waves as it tried to negate the blow by distributing the force and energy all over.

The rest of the old men snorted in disdain at such a barrier. There are even some visible cracks on it. But within this time span, Gamin already killed one of them with a stab to the heart and Saran is already on his way to end another one.

The old man got ready to destroy the barrier with his next punch, but before he could do it, something else happened within the city, that shook them all.

*BOOM*

An explosive sound appeared as large streaks of energy beams emerged from the top of every tower that appeared on the dome. Each tower threw a large streak of energy beam right into the centre of the city.

All beams merged and created a large ball of energy that is extremely chaotic but barely keeping a balance.

The puppets hovering over the army suddenly shot very small metal bullets that are glowing with various patterns towards the old men.

In fact, they are not even aimed at them directly. They are aimed at a certain spot behind or beside them without posing no threat whatsoever.

But as soon as these bullets reached their destined spots, the large chaotic sphere reacted. It started shooting large energy beams and their target is actually these small metallic beams.

More than a hundred beams were shot at the same time and they all went to one of the bullets that are shot.

This is the moment that the old men started feeling the threat.

That is because they are currently in the way of the energy beam and the bullet. For the beam to reach the bullet, it would have to go right through them.

They immediately prepared their barriers and got ready to take the attacks. The beams pa.s.sed through the energy dome and some of the energy dispersed. In this process, the energy barrier started strengthening.

The cracks disappeared and it even appeared a bit stronger than earlier.

The energy beams pa.s.sed through the dome and went straight for the old men and some of their other subordinates who are also targeted.

Their barriers were of no use. As soon as the beam landed on them, they were only able to negate a bit of the energy.

The barriers acted weirdly after they made contact with the beam. They got this brittleness as they turned to a texture of ice and collapsed momentarily before the beams. .h.i.t the people.

The old men took the full brunt of the attack and felt like their whole energy circulation system is shaken up a bit.

They could feel the energy within their body is acting weirdly as well. It became a bit denser than it should actually be and clogged some of the circulation processes, making it extremely painful. All of them took the attack and now they are in no situation to attack.

Of course, they are also not in any position to die. They are still strong, but there is a flesh wound that weakened them just a bit.

But the subordinates and small fries that got targeted by the beams are not as lucky. They really got destroyed with just one beam and some of them even exploded into the b.l.o.o.d.y mist filled with various elemental energies.

Everyone's jaw dropped. They didn't know what is happening. But they do know that whatever that is something that they couldn't have imagined.

While in that stunned state, the puppets moved. They shot another set of bullets and they targeted them just like before.

But this time, the old men tried their best to dodge the energy beams coming at them. Only the puppets just kept on shooting more and more bullets at them one after the other and the maximum beams they managed to dodge are two. Everyone got hit by the time the third wave of beams arrived.

They realized that these harmless puppets are the ones that caused this and a couple of them destroyed a few.

But to their dismay, they saw something that they never expected to come across in their lives. When the small puppet exploded, the s.p.a.ce jade inside it cracked released a bunch of bullets at the same time that landed randomly within the army and a bunch of beams, more than five dozen to be precise were shot in that one particular direction.

This almost made it impossible for them to dodge and one of the old men got riddled. He felt all of his meridians getting clogged.

Another old man beside him ran over and tried to ease up the density of the energy as he collapsed.

Hundreds of soldiers died instantly.

Gamin and Saran finished off the five people by now and looked at the whole scene.

They felt a bit of chill under their spine.

This beam is clearly not powerful enough to kill these old men. Even though it is powerful, for a Peak stage cultivator like this to die, an energy explosion on the scale of eight spirit stone mines exploding all the same time, would be needed.

And each one of those mines should be of the highest quality one with billions of spirit stones coming out every harvest.

That scale of the explosion was impossible for Sam to create any time soon.

But he changed the quality and nature of energy a bit and used these lesser-powered beams to keep these people at bay.

If they want to destroy these domes and the sphere from that range, they need to build up a large amount of energy and a few moments of time.

But no sane person does that in the premises of the Gaja clan, particularly when any one of the trios of Gail, Gamin and Yuvana are nearby.

They will instantly kill them in that one moment.

They wouldn't even have to think too much to know that this is the only possible outcome.

If they need to get past that barrier which is obviously weak, they need to continuously dodge these bullets and beams which just seemed impossible because even if they took down the puppets, they are just digging their own graves even deeper.

The only silver lining for their situation is that these energy beams are not as strong, which is the only reason for them to not die. Even the old man who got hit by a few dozen beams only got some severe flesh wounds and there is a lot of energy clogging going on within his body.

But this is definitely good enough to halt them for a few minutes.

Gamin and Saran only needed this much time before they came out of the barrier as they went to pick on their next targets.

The battle went on and on and these are not the only surprises that the rest of the clan saw.

There are many more. They just couldn't believe that Sam managed to do all of this within the month.

Half-a-day has pa.s.sed before the battle reached into the middle of the city and many more people started falling from the enemy side with very few casualties from the Gaja clan's side.

All the traps that are set within the city are even more brutal and ruthless.

And by that time, whatever that is uniting these people was gone.

They didn't care what kind of deals they signed. They immediately turned their backs on and started running and the running speed intensified only when they saw something else.

Yuvana and Gail appeared almost at the same time. But by that time, the old men already abandoned the rest of the people and escaped to save their own lives.

At least half of them died today and the rest of the small fries realized that it is almost impossible to escape and decided to surrender.

By sunset.

Sam, Giyon and Grivon are sitting in Giyon's yard as they had a drink.

"This is such a depressing battle. It didn't even last one day and the other party escaped. You are indeed a bit too dangerous for a one-man alone."

"One man alone? Don't give me all the credit. It is almost impossible to make this in any other organization of a bit lower level."
