Chapter 11 — The Male Lead Is a Bit Sick (11)

One day, when Shen Mubai was eating a sweet potato, she was suddenly reminded of a certain something and asked the system, “System, how did I die?”

The system said, “At least say it as if you’re sad . ”

Shen Mubai heard this and felt a huge shock . Her brain concocted a hundred different kinds of indecent death scenarios, and, with difficulty, she asked, “Was it in the news?”

The system said, “It was in the headlines . ”

Shen Mubai felt dread in her heart, “… . How did I die?”

There was pity in the system’s voice . “You were stabbed to death by a wife who mistook you for a mistress . ”

Ten minutes later, Shen Mubai finally calmed down . “Why don’t I remember it?”

The system replied, “Alas, you hit your head when you fell down, and the concussion caused temporary amnesia . ”

Shen Mubai: “… . . Are you f.u.c.king with me?”

The system didn’t say anything .

Shen Mubai was so angry that steam came out of her ears . “If you have the ability to make that up, then you have the ability to tell the truth!”

Shen Mubai caved and looked away first, while the other side stared a little longer before eventually s.h.i.+fting away his gaze as well . In the next second, however, he threw her over his shoulder before swiftly leaving .

It felt like she was on a roller coaster; Huo Junhan would not slow down and kept going faster and faster .

Her face was as white as paper when she was finally released . The world started to spin .

“System, I don’t feel so good . ” Shen Mubai spit out .  (TL: MR . STARK I DON’T FEEL SO GOOD . )

It seemed like they had changed their “home” .

To be more specific, Huo Junhan had brought her from City C to City D .

Shen Mubai had been slung over Huo Junhan’s shoulder the whole day . And now, whenever Huo Junhan was not dealing with the more evolved zombies, he would bring her along with him .

When Huo Junhan went to chase a level four zombie, the relaxed Shen Mubai said to the system, “I think this man is not that bad . ”

The system said: “Oh, is that so?”

Shen Mubai nodded . “Yeah, following him means I can eat well and drink well, and I don’t have to worry about being bitten by zombies . ”

Shen Mubai thought about it and added, “His hygiene is pretty impressive too . ” And even when Huo Junhan was not around, his scent made the lower grade zombies unwilling to approach .

The system agreed with her words, “There isn’t anything wrong with it . ”

The two ignored the question of why Huo Junhan chose to stay with Shen Mubai .

“Boss, it seems clear, we can rest for awhile . ” A voice came from nearby, clearly male .

When she heard it, Shen Mubai was startled and quickly hid behind the door . She hissed to the system, “Why didn’t you warn me?”

“I thought they were just pa.s.sing by,” the system said .

Shen Mubai thought, you will get it sooner or later, System .
