The little buddle of softness felt comforting in her arms while she embraced the boy as if he was owned by her. She didn't wish to let him go. She didn't know why she's feeling this way but there's something memorable about this boy that she can't pinpoint. Some sort of nutility she had was saturated. His soft body in her arms gave her an impeccable sense of fulfillment.

Little Tiger who stood flabbergasted was seemed to have undergone through a shocking phase. His eyes moving left to the right mindlessly. Her sudden action has truly disturbed the boy's bubble of grief and disappointment yet he felt wronged. More likely he thought it as being played by her emotionally yet again as he failed to stand against his own weakness and no doubt that is Li Na herself.

An awful feeling rose inside him as if he was caged forcefully. this sense of realization made his body tremble in her arms and no matter how strongly he held back his tears they began to fall constantly making him a weakling in front of her. In the past, he knew she never loved him still he hoped to be loved but now it's different after a lot of difficulties he had learned to live without her. And he was fine without her, keeping a distance from her. Getting close to her will only result in the repet.i.tion of his past mistakes. She did it several time and she will do it again. She will do it again.

Feeling the wetness on her shoulder, Li Na gently pulled him back as worry lines formed on her forehead when she saw Little Tiger's eyes were all red and full of tears but he didn't let out a single sound.

Panicked, Li Na wiped his cheeks with her thumbs. Her heart hammering in her chest ached to see him cry as she tenderly consoles him. "Baby, what's wrong? Why are you crying? Are you hurt somewhere?" as Li Na consoles him more tears flow from Little Tiger's eyes. Her sweet voice p.r.i.c.ked his ears confusing him and making it difficult for him to separate from her.

Seeing Little Tiger cry, Bai Tian and Lu Jun-hui also panicked. They saw his stained face and red eyes. In an instant, Bai Tian s.n.a.t.c.hed Little Tiger from Li Na and picked him up to his arms.

"You...W-what are you doing..." she protested but stopped in mid-sentence as Little Tiger hurriedly sank in his arms as if clinging on to his savior. Startled, Li Na stood up as Little Tiger didn't even look at her, resting his chin on Bai Tian's shoulder as his fingers tightly clutched on to his s.h.i.+rt's collar perhaps making it difficult for the man to breathe.

Li Na felt heart-broken. Just a while ago, he was fine with her and happily eating the soup she made before she barged into. He was troubled by her when she talked to him.

Lu Jun-hui rushed towards Bai Tian and touched Little Tiger's hair, caressing his head as he asked him if he's okay repeatedly. All of a sudden Little Tiger dashed into Lu Jun-hui's arms began to sob uncontrollably. The kid had a hard time suppressing his cries.

Like an expert in handling the child, Lu Jun-hui cradles the boy and rubbed his back saying comforting words to him as if he has done it numerous times. Whereas, agitated and uncomfortable Little Tiger struggles to speak in the middles of crying which both Lu Jun-hui and Bai Tian seem to have understood with no difficulty.

"Don't cry! Don't cry, baby. Dad will be back soon, okay? He's not home but he will come soon." as Lu Jun-hui said that Little Tiger began to cry more frantically as if asking to be delivered to his father right now.

"Okay! Okay! We will go to him. Don't cry! Don't cry! I'll take you now." Lu Jun-hui went on consoling the child as he took the child out of the room or to be precise away from her.

Just as she went to get Little Tiger from Bai Tian the kid lumped to Lu Jun-hui and cried. Momentarily, Li Na stood frozen as if a bucket of ice was poured onto her. She saw the boy crying his heart out and struggling to speak but couldn't understand a single thing. He shutters and gasped to speak trying hard to say something, yet without hearing a complete both Bai tian and Lu Jun-hui instantly realized what he said as being a mother she couldn't understand or catch the little one's language. Little Tiger spoke again and she tried but realized she couldn't. He was asking for his father when his mother was standing right in front of him. Tightly, pursing her lips she couldn't stop Lu Jun-hui. She stood there unmoved.

Helpless, Li Na just saw him leave. Little Tiger keeps on hiding his face from her, he didn't let her see him for once. She doesn't know why but her heart pained and felt like it was torn into thousands of pieces. This kind of pain was far less bearable. Would there be a mother who couldn't understand her child? She seemed to be realized that those two men were better and more useful for the kid than her. No matter what she is not real Li Na and she knew she can't bring back the soul of his mother but she did have the heart of a mother. She was sure that she won't hate him at all.

Left alone, Li Na collapsed on her knees and sat there looking out of the window thinking deeply. No matter how she looked it all concludes to be worthless. This isn't as simple as it looks as this was a problem between Li Na and Little Tiger!

Even if Mei Xing was destined to die then why does she get Li Na's worthless life? From her knowings, Li Na was no good and now Mei Xing felt like caged and a trapped soul. She feels like she can't cope with Li Na's life without knowing anything about Li Na's past or present. Although Mei Xing had got Li Na's new ident.i.ty, this girl's life is of no ordinary girl. Li Na had exceeded all of Mei Xing's prospects. And for her, it's becoming more baffling and more mysterious. Whoever she had met till now, everyone hates Li Na and Mei Xing knows it can't be planned. She wondered what Li Na might have done that even her own child is distant and scared of her. He doesn't want to be with her. Mei Xing didn't even want to think if Li Na has a real family out there apart from Elder Li.

But she knew that living a clueless and unknown life like this could be disastrous and if it continues it could get worst.

'What the h.e.l.l did you do Li Na? Exactly, what have you done to these people? And why is it? that they hate you so much.' Even if it was Li Na who had done something wrong why was Mei Xing caged?

After a long time, Li Na got up as she gathered herself together consoling that no matter what happened was not her fault but what will happen is going to be her choice. Before turning back she saw the sun setting in the west. She paused and took a breath of calmness. Walking with heavy steps, she returned to the east wing while lost in her thoughts.

Just then Li Na stopped in her track at the main door when she saw Lu Jianjun ascending the stairs and heading towards her.
