"Quickly, Litleo, use Ember!" Rico commanded Litleo in seriousness. Litleo then used Ember, attacking Croagunk with small flames, striking it effectively.
"Croagunk!" Croagunk exclaimed in pain.
"Woah," Lunick commented in amazement, "Nice." Then to his Croagunk in seriousness, "Alright, Croagunk, use Mud Slap, let's go!" Snapping out from pain, Croagunk then used Mud Slap, hurling mud in Litleo's face, striking it very effectively, and eventually decreasing its accuracy.
"What?" Rico commented in stunning, "It's effective?"
"Mud Slap is a Ground-type move," Wesley warned him, "It's effective against Fire-Type and Electric-type Pokèmon." Upon hearing that, Rico replied, "Oh, how come I didn't know it." Litleo then got up from Croagunk's attack, and shaking its head to take off the mud.
"Quickly, Litleo," Rico immediately commanded Litleo in seriousness, "Use Ember, again!" Litleo then used Ember, but missed his attack towards Croagunk due to its low accuracy.
"Ugh," Rico commented, "It missed."
"Mud Slap also lowers your Pokèmon's accuracy," Wesley reminded Rico about the said move.
"Oh, I see why," Rico replied.
"Alright, Croagunk, use Mud Slap, again!" Lunick commanded Croagunk in coolness. Croagunk then used Mud Slap, hurling mud to Litleo's face, striking it effectively. Rico was stunned in response, and while he was distracted, Lunick quickly commanded Croagunk in seriousness, "Then use Acid Spray!" Croagunk then used Acid Spray, spitting poison fluid to Litleo, striking it so much it fainted.
"Litleo is unable the battle," Wesley announced, "That means Croagunk wins." Rico was stunned at this, gaping his mouth open; after 3 seconds, he snapped out and commented, "What? How that was possible?"
"Oh, course," Lunick replied, "Even though Croagunk is a Poison-type Pokèmon, it does knows Mud Slap." This response caused Rico to sighed in desperate.
"Alright, Litleo, you did great. Return," Rico responded as he called back his Litleo. After that, Lunick think for a while, and then suggested to Rico, "Hey, do you want a rematch?"Snapping out from desperation and paying attention, Rico calmly retorted, "A rematch?"
"A rematch is a second battle after the previous one," Wesley explained, "It's like a second chance to win." Upon hearing it, Rico think for a while, and then responded with confidence, "Okay, I will!"
"Okay!" Lunick brightly replied, "Rematch by tomorrow after lunch. Be here again;" he then called back his Croagunk, get his backpack, and walked away.
Meanwhile, in the same time, the Blue Ninja and his Greninja are meditating at a local waterfalls. Later, they trained up at an empty field like ninjas.
Later, back at Wesley's house, Rico was thinking of a strategy, tapping his black ballpen repeatedly onto his notepad. His Pokèmon, however, was watching him, except Litleo was still recovering at the town's Pokèmon Center. Wesley was also watching him while researching in his computer.
"How I beat Croagunk when it knows Mud Slap," Rico said to himself in serious thinking, "More Ember? Or more Headb.u.t.t?" Confused, and while his Chimchar was watching, Wesley asked him, "Are you okay?"
"I'm thinking of a strategy to defeat his Croagunk," Rico responded while thinking in focus.
"Okay," Wesley calmly replied. Then brightly, "Hey, do you need help. I can help you out. I have free time for the rest of the afternoon." Thinking about this, Rico turned around and responded with confidence and coolness, "Sure, okay!"
By 2:06 p.m., the two kids went to a field outside of town. That field, however, was the same one where they had a picnic. Once settled in, they called out their Pokèmon, Litleo and Chimchar.
"Alright," Wesley brightly started, "Let's start your training. Our training are Defense and Attack for your Pokèmon."
"Okay," Rico responded with determination and confidence as he clenched his fist in coolness, "Let's do this!" And so, their training began; Wesley will have his first move.
"Alright, Chimchar, use Scratch," Wesley commanded Chimchar in coolness, "Let's go!' His Chimchar then used Scratch, scratching Litleo with sharp claws.
"Quickly, Litleo!" Rico Seriously commanded Litleo, "Use Headb.u.t.t!" Litleo snapped out from Chimchar's attacks, and then used Headb.u.t.t, attacking Chimchar with its head, striking it effectively.
(Bang!)
"Woah, that's effective," Wesley commented in stunning. Then back to his serious state, "Alright, Chimchar, use Ember now!" His Chimchar then used Ember, attacking Litleo with small flames, striking it but not effective. Litleo then absorbed the flames, increasing its Attack power.
"Woah, what Litleo was doing?" Rico asked upon seeing his Litleo's ability.
"It's... It's absorbing the fire of my Chimchar," Wesley responded in stunning upon seeing Litleo's ability.
"Oh, awesome," Rico mildly and sharply replied. Litleo then used Headb.u.t.t on Chimchar again, striking it almost to the point of defeat.
(Bang!)
"Ah! Chimchar, don't give up!" Wesley retorted in seriousness, "Quickly, use Scratch, again" Getting up, Chimchar then used Scratch again on Litleo, but Litleo dodged its attack quickly. The two kids are stunned and amazed at Litleo's skill. Litleo then used Headb.u.t.t on Chimchar, defeating it. Chimchar then fainted in exhaustion, thus ending the battle. There was a short silence after it. And then Rico rejoiced in victory. Wesley, however, sighed in mild desperate, and called his Chimchar back.
"Chimchar, you deserved a good rest," Wesley said in positivity. Then to Rico brightly, "Well, that was a great battle. Your Litleo was strong, and that was cool."
"You do?" Rico asked in stunning. In response, Wesley nodded in agreement in positivity.
"Yes!" Rico responded in happiness. And then, Rico called back his Litleo, and he and Wesley went back to town, straight to the Pokèmon Center.
Later, at night in the Pokèmon Center, the two decided to stay there for the night while Wesley's Chimchar was recovering. Wesley's parents, however, are okay with that, as their house is just a few blocks from the Pokèmon Center. And as they lie down on the sofas of the center, and as Nurse Joy was working in her desktop computer, Rico called his parents through a computer-telephone. In the other line, Lucas and Rosario are on the line.
"So, you're having a Pokèmon battle with someone and you lose?" Lucas asked his son.
"Yes, daddy," Rico answered, "But it's okay, and that kid was setting a rematch for me tomorrow after lunch."
"Well, that's okay, son," Lucas brightly replied, "You know, when I was a young man, I lose dozens of times, but I worked out every time I won. Life isn't easy for a Pokèmon trainer."

"Good night, son," Lucas replied back, "Be safe."
"You too, daddy," Rico replied; he and Lucas then ended their conversation. After that, Rico lie down on a blue, soft sofa and sleep.
"The next morning, after breakfast, the pair, after picking up Chimchar, went out to town for some bonding time. They walked around, looked at monuments, and stopped aside for a short rest. Later they encountered Ben, who was looking for clues at Muñoz Town.
"h.e.l.lo there, Ben," Rico brightly greeted Ben.
"Hi there, Rico," Ben greeted them back.
"Hi, I'm Wesley, Rico's friend," Wesley responded.
"Nice to meet you too," Ben replied. Later back at Wesley's bakeshop, Ben told them about Blue Ninja. They were stunned and amazed at his story, with Rico commenting, "What? I thought he's just a movie character."
"Yeah, but according to some people," Ben continued his telling, "He was fierce, with a Pikachu and a Greninja, and that kid can power up with his Greninja, transforming it into more like him."
"Oh, I see," Rico calmly replied while holding a teacup filled with French Vanilla. After that, Lunick walked into the scene, and greeted them.
"Oh hi there, Lunick," Rico greeted him back.
"Nice to meet you," Wesley added in positivity.
"Who's that kid?" Ben asked them in confusion.
"Oh, that's Lunick," Rico explained in positivity, "He's from the Lauren Region." Then to Lunick, "Lunick, this is Ben, he's a Pokèmon Ranger from the Oblivia Region." In response, Lunick and exchanged handshakes to each other. Rico and Wesley then smiled in happiness. After all that, Lunick asked Rico, "So, are you ready for a rematch?" Clenching his fist in coolness, Rico responded with confidence, "Yes, I'm ready!" His Pokèmon then responded in happiness.
Later, at the town's plaza park, Rico and Lunick had a rematch; they then called out their Pokèmon, Litleo and Croagunk. Rico was confident and determined at this, even though he seen a Poison-type Pokèmon. Wesley acted as a referee. Ben and the rest of the Pokèmon cheered up for them. Then, their rematch began; Lunick will have his first move.
"Alright, Croagunk, use Mud Slap!" Lunick commanded Croagunk in coolness. His Croagunk then used Mud Slap, hurling mud towards Litleo's face.
"Quickly, Litleo, use Headb.u.t.t, let's go!" Rico quickly and seriously commanded Litleo. Litleo then used Headb.u.t.t, attacking Croagunk with its head, hitting it effectively.
"Woah, it got stronger than the last time I seen it," Lunick commented in stunning. Then back to his serious state, "Alright ,Croagunk use Mud Slap, again!" His Croagunk then used Mud Slap again on Litleo. But Litleo dodged its attack quickly. Lunick was mildly shocked while Rico smiled in determination and confidence.
"Then use Ember!" Rico commanded Litleo in seriousness and coolness. Litleo then used Ember, attacking Croagunk with small flames, striking it effectively. Lunick was stunned in amaze. Then back to his serious state, "Ugh, Croagunk, don't give up now! Use Mud Slap, again!" His Croagunk then used Mud Slap, hurling mud towards Litleo, striking it very effective.
"Quickly, Litleo," Rico commanded Litleo in quick serious, "Use Quick Attack and counter it with Ember!" Snapping out from Croagunk's attack, Litleo used Quick Attack, charging towards Croagunk in a fast pace, running through the hurled mud, and then used Ember, attacking Croagunk with small flames, striking it effectively. Croagunk fainted in exhaustion, thus ending the rematch. Wesley then announced, "Croagunk is unable to battle. Litleo wins, and the match goes to Rico Cruz of Kawayan City." This stuns Rico, and then, he rejoiced in victory; Litleo then jumped to him in happiness. Without any hesitation and calling his Croagunk back, Lunick commented their battle, "Well, you got me this time. That was fun. You win, and your strategy was awesome."
"Thanks," Rico happily answered as he put Litleo down.
"Congrats, Rico," Wesley added.
"Yeah, you're great," Ben happily added.
"Thanks," Rico happily retorted. Then, as things were settled, Solana, Lunick's friend and neighbor from the Lauren Region, walked into the scene, and greeted them.
"Oh, hi there, Solana," Lunick greeted her back upon seeing her.
"Sorry for missing the battle," Solana made an excuse, "Did I miss it?"
"Yes," Lunick answered.
"Who's that one?" Rico asked Lunick.
"Oh, Rico, this is Solana, my friend and neighbor from the Lauren Region," Lunick explained to him. Then to Solana, "Solana, this is Rico, my friend." In response, Solana and Rico exchanged handshakes to each other. After that, all of them became happy in friendliness.
