Chapter 981: Hun Cang's Unreasonable Demand!

Lin Feng sat down. Chen Guang Yu stood behind him. All the elders of the Tai Qing Sect stood behind the young geniuses they had invited. The elder who had invited Zi Jing Xiao was angered when Kun and You didn't allow him to get close to Zi Jing Xiao.

He had no recourse, however. Qing Xu Duan couldn't kick up a huge fuss about it, either. He knew how powerful Zi Jing Xiao's background was.

“Master Qing Xu Duan, tell us everything about who kidnapped Qing Xin Yue and so on,” proposed Yuan Feng after standing up. He seemed worried. He was also the only one who had proposed a marriage alliance to the Tai Qing Sect, and Qing Xu Duan had recognized him as a young genius back then already.

Therefore, the members of the Yuan Hall and the Tai Qing Sect respected each other. Yuan Feng really desired Qing Xin Yue.

Qing Xu Duan smiled. He had thought Lin Feng would be the first one to ask about Qing Xin Yue, not Yuan Feng.

“Alright, I will tell you everything and you will also be divided into groups,” Qing Xu Duan nodded. His face fell as he recalled everything.

“One night, the disciples and elders of the Tai Qing Sect were in the meeting room. Qing Xin Yue hosted the event, and I was in my room.

“At that moment, I was worried, and I didn't know why. I had a bad feeling.”

“Who would have thought that a few minutes later, a disciple would arrive in my room. He looked panic-stricken, and shouted that Matriarch Qing Xin Yue had been kidnapped by some people. It was a great humiliation for the Tai Qing Sect.

“At the same time, I sensed a mysterious Qi. I immediately went out and tried to chase the kidnappers.”

As Qing Xu Duan said that, he sounded furious and sad. He looked even older than a moment before.

“The kidnapper was one of the most terrifying people I have ever seen. I didn't see his face, but he was wearing black clothes and demon Qi emerged from his body. He was carrying Qing Xin Yue, who had already lost consciousness.

“I did my best to attack, but the man's defense was too good. After I attacked a few times, he finally struck back.”

“I was injured, but if I hadn't acted in time, I would have died.

“After that, he left. While leaving, he taunted me telepathically,” said Qing Xu Duan. He looked furious.

“He told me that he kidnapped Qing Xin Yue for fun, and that he hadn't targeted the Tai Qing Sect on purpose. He said it was because the Tai Qing Sect organized a compet.i.tion to choose a husband for her!

“He said he wanted the compet.i.tion to be even more fun, so he kidnapped Qing Xin Yue. His goal was to see the young geniuses of the Country of Eternity argue.

“He also said that when you go and try to save her, he will not show up personally; he will only dispatch servants, so you don't have to worry. If you win against his servants, he promised he will release Qing Xin Yue,” finished Qing Xu Duan. He looked less angry when he concluded.

Lin Feng and everybody else were astonished. Qing Xu Duan was extremely strong. He had the strength of the seventh Great Supreme G.o.d layer, but the kidnapper was stronger?!

Everybody also understood that that cultivator hadn't used his full strength against Qing Xu Duan. He had just played with him, whereas Qing Xu Duan had used his full strength. How strong was that mysterious cultivator, then?

Was he a Great Supreme G.o.d as well?

n.o.body knew, but it was useless to wonder. For the time being, they had to focus on saving Qing Xin Yue. No matter how strong the mysterious cultivator was, he had told them it was just a game to him, so he would probably abide by the rules he had established.

Lin Feng looked determined. When Qing Xu Duan saw Lin Feng's expression, he smiled.

“This time, I will divide you into two groups. What do you think?” asked Qing Xu Duan.

Lin Feng was surprised. Two groups? Lin Feng instantly guessed that the two groups would inevitably be Zhao Ming Jun's group and Zi Jing Xiao's group. They were the strongest ones, so only they were qualified to be group leaders.

Lin Feng nodded. He didn't really care and didn't really want to talk about it much longer. He just wanted to save Qing Xin Yue.

“Slowly, Master Qing Xu Duan. I have something to say,” someone spoke up.

Lin Feng raised his head, Kun and You looked over too, and everybody turned their eyes on the one who had just spoken: Hun Cang! Hun Cang didn't feel awkward at all, he just smiled sarcastically.

“What do you want to say? Speak,” answered Qing Xu Duan indifferently. He hadn't thought the Ancient Soul Clan would agree to send someone, but it seemed they had ulterior motives. He just hoped that Hun Cang wouldn't offend people on purpose.

Hun Cang grinned and said callously, “Master, money matters should be settled even among brothers. Since you invited us to save Qing Xin Yue, what do we get in exchange? Shouldn't we get a reward?” said Hun Cang, smiling greedily.

Lin Feng found such people disgusting. Why were the people of the Ancient Soul Clan like that? The Five Heroes, Hun Cang…

Qing Xu Duan frowned angrily. Qing Xin Yue's life was at stake; n.o.body even knew whether she was still alive or not, and now Hun Cang dared ask for a reward? However, he wasn't completely wrong; the Tai Qing Sect had invited these geniuses and the journey could be dangerous.

Asking for a reward wasn't unfounded, but the timing wasn't the best. Hun Cang just wanted to take advantage of their misfortune.

“What do you want?” asked Qing Xu Duan.

Hun Cang smiled. “Qing Xin Yue, of course!”

“What? Try and dare say that again!” shouted Yuan Feng, standing up suddenly. He clenched his fists and looked at Hun Cang ferociously. His eyes were already filled with murder.

Yuan Feng was furious; the other young geniuses were also angry, but n.o.body dared say anything.

Lin Feng frowned and looked at Hun Cang. How shameless! But since Yuan Feng had acted first, then Lin Feng preferred to wait.

Hun Cang smiled and then laughed loudly, “What? You think she likes you? You're in a rush, little boy! Haha! If I'm not mistaken, you love Qing Xin Yue, but she doesn't, hahahahaha, right, Lin Feng?” chortled Hun Cang, laughing loudly.

Lin Feng's expression didn't change. He just smiled icily to himself. Hun Cang was finally starting to cause trouble. What was his goal?

“What do you mean?” asked Lin Feng blandly.

Hun Cang's expression didn't change. He smiled demeaningly, “Well, you are both courting the same woman, huh? Haha! Of course, Lin Feng, you are much more outstanding than Yuan Feng, so you have the advantage. On top of that, Qing Xin Yue already likes you. Hahahahaha!” Hun Cang brayed. Everybody looked at him in disgust.

“Shut up, Hun Cang! You are in the Tai Qing Sect, and you dare cause trouble here!” shouted Chen Guang Yu explosively. Hun Cang was humiliating Qing Xin Yue and the Tai Qing Sect by talking that way.

“Oh, you're angry too? You also like Qing Xin Yue?” said Hun Cang. He seemed even happier when he saw Chen Guang Yu was angry too.

He was infuriating them on purpose. Qing Xu Duan frowned. What was Hun Cang trying to do? What was the Ancient Soul Clan's purpose?

“What do you think? Master Qing Xu Duan, do you agree to my request?” Hun Cang asked seriously.

Qing Xu Duan frowned and looked at Hun Cang darkly.

Hun Cang smiled. Qing Xu Duan couldn't attack him in the Tai Qing Sect. He was sure about that. It was the reason why he dared act so recklessly and impertinently.
