Chapter 1593 1586: Border of the Sky Heart Galaxy
[LEFT ARM]
Karmic Luck Value: Sealed; Bloodline Located - BEGINNING Rite of Sin ??? ONGOING Rite of Sin.
First Calamity: --
-----
The sinful, cryptic language inscribed by the Bloodline of Sin underwent a significant s.h.i.+ft, transitioning from beginning to ongoing, and Wei Wuyin's silver eyes glinted as the sensation of the Heavenly Daos' urgings pounded against his head as the familiar and expected notification of the Bloodline of Sin.
From the very beginning, all fortuitous encounters and lucky chances produced by the Heavenly Daos' machinations and subtle influence that it tried to subject him to had been followed by a resounding clarity alongside a throbbing alert of its occurrence. This was the Bloodline of Sin's fundamental quality to announce the effects of the Heavenly Daos' influence to bestow its inheritors the ability to exercise freedom of choice amidst realization.
Wei Wuyin had theorized long ago that his status as a Blessed and a Mortal was an abnormality for Inheritors of Sin, speculating that while he originally believed to be an alert mechanism inherent to its obscure powers against the Heavenly Daos wasn't one but a warning mechanism against the influence itself. This might seem like the same thing, but the difference was quite substantial.
This supported his theory that Inheritors of Sin at the Realm of Sages actively utilized their Karmic Luck Value to orchestrate their own karmic fortune and urge the Heavenly Daos to produce fortuitous encounters on their behalf. They took the reins and used the Heavenly Daos to their own ends.
This theorized insight was what allowed him to devise an advanced and profound version of Wen Mingna's Seer Cultivation Method and allow a stronger connection with the Heavenly Daos, a feat that only someone who had dared to view the very Heavenly Daos themselves amidst the threat of death, felt its influence multiple times, and seen it visibly work at different levels, such as breaking apart the laws of time and s.p.a.ce to perform a reincarnation across those domains or influencing a few people to lose an injured child in a crowded city.
Even Ming Shufeng was utterly stunned by Wei Wuyin's cultivation insight, attributing the revised method as the work of a legendary Seer of great and monstrous origins.
This also suggested that Wei Wuyin's pa.s.sive usage of Karmic Luck Value was the lingering effects of his Blessed status, including the proactive attempts by the Heavenly Daos to find opportunities for him.
Ohn!
"Those of the Bloodline of Sin can twist the unfairness of the Heavenly Daos in their favor, using it for their own purposes, while pursuing a greater path. But what exactly is that path? What is the purpose of all this?" Wei Wuyin had asked himself these questions often while staring at the sky, ceiling, or even the exceptional faces of his slumbering women. It all seemed...obscure and misty.
Freedom of self?
Overthrowing the heavens?
Abolis.h.i.+ng the Heavenly Daos' definition of sin?
Annihilation of Blessed and its systematic discrimination?
There were too many possibilities-far too many.
What was the purpose of Inheritors of Sin? Who was the First Sinner? Why was he chosen? A Blessed that was one of the unfairly treated individuals beneath the heavens by that silver-haired man that day?
However, while those questions would remain unanswered until he reached an adequate level of strength, status, and ability, he had to seize every advantage, maintain an open mind, and have a staunch will.
For example, the Magi lineage and Bloodline of Sin's incredible interaction: the ability to read the Bloodline of Sin's tattooed inscriptions. While it was merely a theory of his, he felt that even those at the Realm of Sages shouldn't be able to read the language of sin, much like a mortal was unable to understand mysticism.
Wei Wuyin, a mere mortal, could read, write, speak, and understand the nuanced language of Mysticism and a few obscure characters from long ago that he suspected might be the language of the Immortal Dao or another Dao. When Wei Si informed him of the Magi's origins as renowned scholars, he felt that this was increasingly likely.
Now, he could visibly see and understand the changes on his tattoo and understand that the Heavenly Daos was influencing him to walk toward his Rite of Sin. It had started!
Ohn! Ohn!
Before, he had been influenced to turn around by the Bloodline of Sin's tattoo's power to discover the Wall of Heaven that was barreling towards him, and now it was leading him elsewhere. Could each Primordial Seed of Sin have different Rites of Sin designed for them?
"The Primordial Seed of Sin: Pride was the Wall of Heaven that was unimaginably violent and destructive, testing the mind as an unconquerable obstacle. If my guess is correct..." Wei Wuyin thought for a long moment before his Saint Ring glowed with spiritual radiance, signifying the arrival of a spiritual transmission.
It was Tuo Bihan.
"Big Boss Boom, there's something you might be interested in here. Shall I bring it to you?" Within the sporadic name-changing old man's tone was a little awkwardness, uncertainty, and excitement. This would normally pique Wei Wuyin's interest but instead provoked his vigilance. Staring at his left arm, feeling the intent of the Heavenly Daos' influence, he knew it wanted him to go personally, urging him to do so strongly.
Any normal Exploitative Blessed would have seen this as a potential for immense gains, leaving without a second thought, and any potential Bloodline of Sin Inheritor would have left as well regardless of their cla.s.sification. After all, they wouldn't even suspect anything! But Wei Wuyin could read the tattoo! Moreover, he wasn't a neophyte of the Bloodline of Sin's power that had just pa.s.sed the test, but an experienced individual! This added several layers of hesitance to his thoughts.
A degree of hesitation that normally wouldn't exist. In the end, this was a challenge that was unable to be escaped or solved by fleeing or a long drawn-out thinking session, especially when the Heavenly Daos' urgings became increasingly throbbing over time.
Ohn! Ohn! Ohn!
The pounding sensation was overly intense to the point of feeling as if his head would shatter. If not for the clarity of the Bloodline of Sin, this influence might have been just short of outright mind manipulation. Moreover, the Bloodline of Sin seemed to be avoiding halting the harmful effects, perhaps even encouraging it.
He sent a reply to Tuo Bihan: "Stay there. I'll come to you." When those six words were said, the sensation faded immediately as if satisfied that the job had been completed, and the Bloodline of Sin refused to allow the Heavenly Daos to run rampant with its influence.
Young Master Shang felt a notable s.h.i.+ft in Wei Wuyin's physical demeanor, and looked over questioningly: "Everything's okay?"
Wei Wuyin returned his look with a smile, "We're going inside." Young Master Shang was taken aback as Wei Wuyin floated a few inches off the deck, waving his hand as the Minor Elysium was sent into his Saint Ring. Shocked, Young Master Shang could barely react before Wei Wuyin flew toward the Sky Heart Galaxy headfirst, his robes fluttering in the Dark Void, and his body perfectly unharmed by the ambient chaos mana.
"So sudden?" Young Master Shang had a phenomenal cultivation base as a Mystic Ascendant Realm cultivator and reacted fast enough to circulate his Mystic Aura and exert his Mana Dominance, a sign of a Spirit of Cultivation at the Origin State. He followed with a faint boom!
Wei Wuyin's influence wasn't limited to entering the Sky Heart Galaxy, but insistent on bringing Young Master Shang with him, only serving to add confusion to him. Moreover, it was repeatedly trying to push him to act on curiosity without elaboration from Tuo Bihan. Considering this was its intent, Wei Wuyin didn't outright deviate from the Bloodline of Sin and the Heavenly Daos' covert and overt intentions.
The two youngsters of their respective cultivation stages were moving far faster than Rune Kings, faster than those at the ill.u.s.trious Earthly Saint Phase! They didn't actually need to rely on Void Portals as Tuo Bihan had chosen a location at the very edge of the Sky Heart Galaxy, where the influence of beasts was at its lowest.
There were no gargantuan hyena casually consuming a star for lunch or a scaly fish that seemed to be actively nurturing beastmen of a variety of different lineages for purposes unknown. There were no rocs that used the planets as training and hunting grounds for their chicks or horned hares that played with mortals for sport. The place was rather isolated with some of the strongest non-beast races present.
It was where humans had the most influence while simultaneously having the most pathetic existence. A location furthest from the myriad of stars, where the solar essence was the lowest, the sunlight exposed was the lowest, and the lifestyle was the most desperate.
A region whose history was even more pathetic than the living beings existing on the planet, struggling to survive. The border between the Sky Heart Galaxy's Galactic Layer and the Void-Blank s.p.a.ce between galaxies, is safe solely by virtue of that defined border.
"Where are we going?" Young Master Shang caught up, his eyes shocked that Wei Wuyin wasn't using the faintest sign of starforce, mystic force-the unique power of Mystic Star Phase experts, or mystic power in his movements, just an acute and remarkable control over the surrounding ambient mana. There wasn't even the faintest sign of Law aura emissions from him.
He was relying solely on Mana Dominance to reach speeds beyond most Rune Kings! This was unimaginably terrifying! He knew Wei Wuyin was powerful with exceptional means, but where were his limits?!
"You should be familiar with it. You visited it once before," Wei Wuyin replied.
"Oh? I have?" Looking at the Sky Heart Galaxy, it all clicked in his mind as he asked: "That false utopia? That place that's a farm in disguise?"
Wei Wuyin nodded.
"Hm," Young Master Shang pouted his lips as he frowned slightly. The false utopia was a planet that served as a hidden Gateway Door to a sequence of hidden World Realms created by experts of the Human Race, excluding beastmen and hybrid demons of non-human origin. It was both their safe haven and the beasts' unified choice to prevent the extinction of humans, their food source and cultivation resources.
To the humans, however, this place was the legendary utopia spread across the galaxy. The place the humans most sought after and believed to be their salvation, dreamed of from the stories deliberately spread by the more intelligent beasts. It was...sad to think about. But in a world ruled by beasts, this was the only hope they had to survive, even amidst the abuse.
When one thought of cattle that were raised by humans, celestials, t.i.tans, and so forth, these humanoid races, it was hard to not feel like a hypocrite, and Teng Jiangwen had once told him to have no thoughts of freeing them. Unless the prohibition was lifted, it was impossible to exert strength enough to defeat the strongest beast, and the strongest beasts of this world were all complicit in allowing this, and would certainly prevent any attempts to escape.
After getting to know of Wei Wuyin's destination, Young Master Shang was certain that Wei Wuyin was aware of the Sky Heart Galaxy's intricate functions of this world ruled by beasts. He took a few large gulps of wine while flying, feeling a little somber.
As a human, how could he not have some bias toward this treatment? He wasn't Wei Wuyin. Few could ever have such an open-minded concept of racial equality like him, treating the life of a rose, a bird, and a human all the same-as a life, and few ever would.
"Humans were complicit in its creation too. d.a.m.ned b.a.s.t.a.r.ds," Young Master Shang spat from beneath his breath, the vacuum of the Dark Void preventing those soundwaves from traveling any distance. However, Wei Wuyin still heard him, but he didn't comment on any of it.
Eventually, they found a rogue planet that seemed to be dead, covered in a grayish hue and earth. All signs of life were extinguished, and not a single soul could be seen of any type. It was large for a planet, and could house quadrillions of living humans considering their average size and the s.p.a.ce they occupied. However, when the two landed on its surface, all they saw from horizon to horizon was desolation.
Tuo Bihan was sent directly into the Gateway Door via a Void Portal. Wei Wuyin stared at the desolate world and felt the Desolate Earth Intent all around, siphoning all signs of life. This was a good cultivation ground for Si De.
Thinking of the white-eyed, visually-blind from birth holy beauty that used her lack of sight as motivation to cultivate a unique Spiritual Method to amplify her Spiritual Sense and bring her closer to the 'Divinities' of the continent, allowing her to gain the paramount position she had despite her disability, he couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic. The Four Extreme Continent and his adventures there surged within his memories.
"There's the Gateway Door," Young Master Shang pointed out as he took a swig at the beginning and end of his sentence, seemingly trying to drown his sorrows in its alcoholic flavor.
Wei Wuyin looked and saw a faint outline of a spatial gateway, and he walked over. Without hesitation, he touched the spatial gateway and opened it.
An air of life and sound of activity leaked through.
Young Master Shang heaved a heavy sigh.
"Let's go," Wei Wuyin entered the gateway. Young Master Shang could only follow along. What did Wei Wuyin want with this depressing place? He knew it didn't have anything to do with the Enlightened Sage scheming, so what? Whatever it was, he had a faint desire to ask Wei Wuyin to free the humans, bringing them into the Neo-Dawn Empire for the sake of his own conscience. If anything, he could conquer this galaxy too, a.s.sisting the development of his Imperial Law's cultivation.
However, Young Master Shang realized how selfish that was to ask for when he could also try, and could only drink as the spatial gateway absorbed his figure. If Wei Wuyin decided to do so, it would only be most optimal if he decided to do so himself.
