As soon as Hoshiai inhaled in order to ask what he was talking about, the three-eyed demon moved. Its face was warped in fear, and its three eyes were blood shot. There were even tears in them. It jumped out toward Yato with its hands and legs shaking.

Yato saw its movements, pulled out the sword at his waist and sliced it in half without hesitation. There was a spray of blood from its body cut in two, but the demons body instantly turned into dust and disappeared. Even if demons die, they wont leave behind a corpse. Yato frowned. It had tears in its eyes, so he didnt think it attacked him on its own free will. It felt as though someone had ordered it, leaving it with no choice. If it was demon with an owner, they may be upset he killed their demon.

Hey, demon slayer. Youre the one who did that to that demon just now. It had nothing to do with me.

Yato shifted the responsibility to Hoshiai. He was the one fighting it earlier, so it shouldnt have been a problem.

youre not going to kill me? Like that demon just now?

Saying the word he was purposefully trying to avoid annoyed Yato. He scowled, baring his long fangs.
