Sparring me a sympathetic glance, Elder Gingu answered me with a smile.
"Wild Chakra Berry doesn't have a lot of chakra. After consuming the Berry, Kaguya gained only one third of the true amount the Fruit must have. Yes, if you take the standards of this world in consideration, she is unfathomable. However, that power pales before ours. Now look," he pointed at the screen, "Hagoromo and his brother had to cooperate only to SEAL her, not kill. His descendants are even weaker. Ashura and Indra were strong, but can you see how the power became split?"
I watched the projection and with new perspective, I could see that it was indeed true. They appeared to be very strong, no, they are strong, but their prowess had decreased. Sharingan was created, weaker version of their Father's Doujutsu... looking at their constant fight, a realisation popped up.
"Elder, is this rivalry between them is caused by the curse of the Berry?"
"Yes and no. they are indeed rivals because of the Berry's power, but they always fight due to their nature...."
We saw how Hagoromo was getting older. He was born between a normal human and Otsutsuki, so he lived way more than a human can, but a lot less than a regular Otsutsuki could. Right before his death, he divided the chakra from his mother, Jubii, into nine parts.
"They are such cuties...." I couldn't help myself. I love fluffy and cute animals and beasts. I heard a light chuckle and tried to regain my composure, but how can I do so, when there are adorable beings right in front of me?!
During his life, Hagoromo distributed chakra to everyone in hope that this way, people will understand each other and at his deathbed, Hagoromo chose Ashura to be his successor of 'Ninshu', his believe. I noticed how that black creature returned and was distancing itself from two rivals and brothers; however, even if it was far, I could see how a faint black aura, that was emitted from it, was enveloping Indra. The aura was really similar to that gross substance on the stone tablet.
'It was this thing's doing...' The puzzle was solved. This black creature was the cause of that incident with f.u.kushū. I clenched my fists and swore in my heart, I will definitely make that thing pay for the pain Madara experienced.
Ashura's and Indra's rivality grew into a full out war. Indra used Ninshu in battle and Ashura, seeing that he had to, did so too. Indra lost. Ninshu was lost, but ninjutsu took its place. Wars became even more fierce.
"Hagoromo was a little naive..." I commented quietly, but was still heard by the Elder.
"He was. The G.o.d wasn't, that is why we existed." He heaved a sigh.
The rest of the protection wasn't as interesting. Hamura's descendants became Hyuga clan. Ashura's became Senju and Uzumaki, while Indra's, Uchiha. Many other clans were created and destroyed. The projection soon ended without any other discussions. I wanted to say. When my appearance made its entrance, my parents, Elder and other people at the back, were laughing.
"That was a brilliant appearance!" Elder Gindu managed to say.
They watched everything. No questions came afterwards.
Father patted my head.
"My daughter is really great." His tender voice entered my heart.
Mother hagged me, and I could see some tears in her eyes.
"I'm glad you made it to the capital.... When you get back, I would like you to thank Kindatru instead of me." She said with a gentle smile.
"You know each other?"
"Haha! If we are talking about a golden haired girl that ran away from the castle, then yes." Mother giggled. "She got lost in the forest and was a mess. Luckily for her, my father and I were on our way to the capital and found her. There was a bit of misunderstanding, but it was solved without a hitch. Since then, we would occasionally meet up when I was in the capital and grew close. I'm glad that she took our ties in consideration and took you in." Her voice carried a hint of nostalgia and gentleness.
"I will! But when I decide to go back. I don't want to return and be the crow princess again. The time there is stopped anyways. so it's not like they will notice." I answered.
"You can go back whenever you want?" The Elder, who was silent all of this time, finally spoke. I could feel that he was really surprised.
"Yes! All I've to do, is push open the s.p.a.ce and voila! It's done! It works similar to this." I opened my storage s.p.a.ce and took out an apple. "However, this s.p.a.ce is my creation, so it is much easier. When I was teleported to another world for the first time, I was 11 and panic was one of the greatest feelings that overwhelmed me. Now, I'm pretty much adapted to that. I just have as much fun as I can and leave." I took a bit off of the apple.
"Malika," the Elder became extremely serious, "We cannot waste any more time. I need to awaken your eyes."
"Why?!" I didn't expect for things to accelerate at this crazy rate and almost choked on my apple.
"I'll tell you later. Now close your eyes." He commanded with voice full of dominance. My parents moved away, leaving me behind. I wanted to refute Elder Gindu, but my thirst for knowledge and curiosity pushed me to obey his command.
He gently pressed his large hand over my forehead and I felt extremely large amount of chakra being poured inside of my brain. My consciousness was slowly drifting away and finally, everything was black.
..........
I felt myself floating somewhere midair and tried to move my limbs. Hands? Here. Leds? At your command! Eyes? Ready for use, captain! I slowly opened them and found my body floating in the s.p.a.ce filled with stars and planets. From time to time, multiple colours would appear like a bolt of lighting and disappear the next instance. Some unknown creatures were bathing in the void, like some kids in the river.
While I was surveying this new place, a presence of immense authority materialised behind me.
"Welcome, child. It has been so long since I had to awaken the eyes of my kin." The person behind me spoke tenderly.
Turning my head, I saw a figure of absolute beauty in front of me. Long, prussian hair, were illuminating everything around them. Sharp, yet gentle features of his face reminded one of a sculpture from the master artist. Beautiful garments decorated with gold, silver, surreal gems and even stars, were gently wrapping themselves around his tall, slender body. However, the most captivating part, was his eyes. His sclera was shivering with all of the colours in the world and his spotless, white irises, made one fell like a warm before the sun.
"G-G.o.d?" I managed to squeeze at least something from my dry throat. He smiled gently and nodded.
"It is indeed me, Malika."
