I sat at the edge of the cliff with my legs swinging up and down, gazing at the setting sun and in my mind all of the details of the 'battle' replayed for a hundredth time. I don't want to brag, but I have a photographic memory, so anything I see, hear, read or learn is staying as it was in the original source.
' Those hand movements... what were they for? How did they help that guy Tobirama in summoning that water wave. Didn't see what Madara do, but how did he make a sea of fire come out of his mouth? How? I felt no magical energy being used.... just what is this world made of?! '
I tried coping Tobirama's movements, bu nothing happened. Not even a drop of water appeared. I sighed and the thought of learning something that is covered in mysteries, made my head spin fro excitement. I observed how scarlet sky soon began to turn blue and than darkness of night took over the world.
'Red, Blue and Black. Those people from before kinda resembled this sunset. Hashirama seemed to be the most naïve one from the three. Tobirama was more calculative and collected and Madara was like darkness that shelters each and every being, letting them rest. All of them are strong and are protective when things come down to the people they care about... Why do they fight?'
I looked up at the night sky. Mirards if stars glowed in the depths of darkness like decorations for the main jewel, the moon.
" The moon is the same even in another world."
Chilly, night breeze gently caressed my hair. The different smells of the forest beneath the mountain, filled the air.
"It's hard to imagine that just past this great forest, a war, where thousands die, is going on. Right Hashirama, Tobirama and Madara?"
Three shadows emerged from the forest behind me.
"How did you know we were there?" Tobirama asked. He was still on guard but the hostility was gone.
" Just sensed your presence. That's all."
I stood up and turned around so that I could see their faces. All of them had serious expressions and didn't look like they were here to joke around.
Hashirama moved a little closer, probably showing that he had no intentions to run or hide. He had questions an he will get them answered. His left leg was badanged and right arm was tied to his heck be a piece of cloth.
"What happened to you?" I pointed at his bandages. When we fought, he was in much better shape.
"When that fire ball that you threw collided with the water, a lot of heat was given off and it just happened that I was really close. Haha! Those are nothing! I'll get better in no time!"
"Elder brother, do not act like a fool. What we came here for is really important."
"But.."
"Shut up."
Hashirama's aura turned dark and he sat on the ground sulking. I heard a light sneaker from Madara, "He didn't change one bit. He still gets depressed easily.... "
From this phrase I concluded that he knew Hashirama quite well. The expression on his face was that of a best friend, who haven't seen his buddy in a long time.
'Just what in the world led them to be enemies on the battlefield?'
I wanted to ask, but restrains myself. It was impolite to probe into other people lifes.
"I hear your names during the day. Nice to meet you."
" Since you know our names, it is your turn to introduce yourself." Tobirama commanded. Looks like he is that type of people, who are domineering, straight forward and calculative. Honestly, the type I personally do not really like, but he is saved by his stunning looks.
"My name is Malika de Futra. Nice to meet you."
I nodded and made a reverence, like I would do if I was on the tea party in the palace. Oops, habits are scary. I could tell by the look on their faces that they didn't expect this kind of introduction.
"Haha.. sorry. This way of introduction was hammered into my every cell, so it has kinda became a habit."
Madara was the first to react and asked a question.
"I think what all of us want to know the most is actually not who, but what are you? Such a strong beam of light does not descend from the sky every day."
Oh, of course they would be interested.
"Let us sit first. My explanation is going to be long."
" Just like I said, my name is Malika. I don't think you will believe the rest of my story."
"Do we have a choice? We know nothing, so the only way, is to ask directly." This time it was Tobirama who spoke up.
"True."
Told them about the place I came from. About magic and the basic layout of the countries.
" It really is hard to believe..." Hashirama muttered under his breath.
" I told you..."
"It still doesn't explain why are you here or the beam from the sky." I was cut short by Tobirama's comment.
"I was getting to that part! Geeze! Be a little more patient!" He shut up, ready ro listen to the rest bit of the story.
"To tell you the truth, I have no idea why am I here. A for the beam, this I can partially explain. Back in my world, sometimes a portal that connects two different worlds, open. Noone but me know about it, because whenever it appears, the time stops. Actually, this is already third time that I'm traveling to a different dimension."
"And was there always a destructive beam of light descending from the sky?" (Hashirama)
"No. The portals open at random and the way I appear there is always different. However, it is never normal!! Imagine waking up in the tree and you had to free yourself from it, before your air finishes?! Or imagine that you were talking to a friend and then you are suddenly sucked into a hole and thrown in the middle of a VERY lively and busy road!"
I let my emotions slip and showered them with, let's say ....unnecessary information. Sorry.
"So in short you are: from a different dimension, have no clue about where you are and the portal is basically messing with either you or your surroundings on its own." Tobirama a.n.a.lysed.
"Yes and I'm really sorry for the commotion that my appearance made." I bowes my head again.
"It's alright! You didn't have any control over the situation. Actually Think we should be the ones to apologise. We attacked you, who was in a totally new place..." As I thought, Hashirama is a good, but a little naïve guy.
"It couldn't be helped." I stood up and came closer to him extending my hand.
"I'm sorry for injuring you. Let me patch you up a little."
A soft bluish mist exited from my hand. It slowly enveloped Hashirama's full body, healing any kind of injury, be it external or many of his partially healed internal wounds. When I finished, I retrieved my hand and the mist ceased to be.
I looked at Madara and Tobirama who fell silent.
"Did I answer all of your questions?"
"More or less." Madara sighed. "The world is so much broader than one might think.."
"That's why, why don't we end the war between Senju and Uchiha and make the world even broader?" Hashirama stood up removing his bandages and extending his hand towards Madara.
"Elder brother! Do you think that our clansmen will accept things so easily?! Many people lost their loved ones. We, for that matter, lost two of our brothers and father! ( it was never specified how their father died.)"
"If I would be of any help, I'm ready to take up the task!" I decided to get into this matter.
"Why would you help strangers you just met?" Again, Tobirama had to know everything... annoying....
"I hate wars. In my world wars between kingdoms and countries were stopped thousands of years back, but magical beasts keep attacking us. They are not animals, but another race that live in my world. In that kind of war, my parents were killed. I was 3 at that time. I lived for around a year in the orphanage and was later adopted by the Queen of the empire."
They showed a little surprised faces. Why would be surprised?
"What are you surprised about?"
Hashirama shook his head.
"Nothing much. It's just we didn't expect that something like this happened to you. Your eyes are not clouded by loss."
Ah.. so this what it was about.
"It happened 9 years ago, also before they died they told me to live my life freely. I was sad for a few years, but one has to move on, right?"
They nodded.
"That i why I want to help. We can discuss it in detail a little later."
"Why not start now?" Tobirama finally dropped his guard. Since the very beginning his vigilance was on point, but he didn't show it. I could feel it. I don't know how, but ever since I lost my parents, I could feel other people's emotions and mental states.
I smiled.
"I answered your questions. Now it is your turn to do the same. Brace yourselves, for I have a lot!"
And so, they soon found themselves in the ocean of questions.
