Chapter 314 Enlightenment Zone Key

Chapter 314 Enlightenment Zone Key

Making herself almost undetectable, Shiro waited by their side the entire time that they were arguing against God's Pantheon.

Since the Rising Sun had more members nearby, the God's Pantheon eventually gave up.

'About time.' Shiro sighed while slowly trailing behind the Rising Sun faction.

Following them out of the guild, she glanced around for a moment before jumping up on the roofs. It would be easier for her to trail them this was since she'll always have vision on them.

'Seems like they're going towards the auction house.'

Entering the auction house after them, she saw the group walk up to the counter and present a token of sorts.

Eavesdropping on their conversation, Shiro saw that they'll be going to a private room to collect the item.

'Interesting…' Shiro narrowed her eyes.

Adjusting her footwork, she flickered behind them while diverting everyone's attention to her surroundings.

If one had to describe what she was doing, it would be described as her placing mirrors around her body so that her presence would be ignored. After all, using shadow cloak within the auction house would be found out instantly and she'll be tracked down by the guards.

Of course, it wouldn't matter much if they couldn't see her.

{So… shall we talk about how you're about to rob these poor people?} Nimue raised an eyebrow.

'Rob is such a strong word. I prefer, borrow. I'm just going to see if the item is what I need. If it isn't I would naturally return it.'

{And if it is what you need?}

'Well let's just say that things tend to be lost. In all seriousness though, if it's something important to the faction, there's a chance that it can affect the current state of affairs. Who knows, it may even increase the power behind the prince. You can call this intel gathering.' Shiro replied seriously.

While she may seem like she's joking around all the time, it was to hide her intentions. That and she enjoys having a little fun acting.

Making a small nanobot to follow the group in, she quickly made herself sparse as the guards instantly appeared near the scene.

Dashing to where she had released the nanobots, they frowned before the captain gestured for them to search for the culprit through tracing the mana signal. Little did they know, Shiro had masked the signal to resemble Kier Ospar.

After all, she had learned his mana signal in order to retrieve Nimue without triggering any alarms.

Throwing the guards off her trail, she closed one of her eyes and had a look at what the drone could see.

"Here is the item. As you have completed the quest first, it naturally belongs to you. Please send the branch master my regards." A man said while presenting a sealed box on the table.

"Of course. The branch master hopes to share some tea with you sometime but that will have to wait due to the current state of Miriel and the elven princes."

"I wait for that time then. Feel free to open the box and check that the item is indeed that of which I've promised."

Opening the box, the man looked at the item and smiled.

"Yes that's exactly what she wanted." He said and prepared to store it away in his inventory.

'Now!'

Jumping into the rift, Shiro phased into the room and appeared above him.

"Yo~ Nice day isn't it? Care to share your fortune with a friend?" Shiro asked with a grin. Currently, she had disguised her name tag as pure question marks while her body was changed to be slightly older and have red hair instead of white. Her outfit was changed as well since it would be stupid to not change her clothes.

Grabbing the box that held the item, she twisted her body and dodged their attacks narrowly. She balanced her body on the tip of their sword and threw the box into her own inventory.

"Thief! Return that right now or else feel the wrath of the Rising Sun!" The man warned. His heart pounded in nervousness since this item was very important to their branch master.

"Well think of it as tax for dipping your hands into this country's affairs. Cha cha~" Shiro replied while flicking their swords back.

Just as the guards burst into the room, Shiro had already jumped into the rift and left the area.

"Damn it! Quickly! Send a message to the branch master! Did anyone get the woman's appearance on a camera or something?! Haru, Touma, you two try to find her now!" The man panicked.

While they were trying to track her down, Shiro had already left the auction house and sat on their roof.

"Let's see what kind of item is so important for them." She smiled and opened the box.

[Enlightenment Zone Key]

A key that will teleport you to an area where you may condense and refine your skills. The user can bring two people with them.

1/5 uses left.

"Hou~ That's quite the item." Shiro couldn't help but admit. If they gave this to the first prince, he would have the chance to refine his sword skills and become more of a problem.

"Now I feel kinda bad for taking it away from the Rising Sun…"

{No you don't.}

'No I don't indeed.'

{. . .}

Standing up, Shiro jumped off the roof and landed softly. Changing herself back to her original form, she did some shopping before returning to the castle.

Meanwhile, a woman sat in her office while browsing through her computer.

"Tch. The damn idiots lost the key." She muttered with a frown.

"ARGG!!! Why is nothing following the plan!!!"

Slamming her head into her desk, she made a deep indentation despite the table being reinforced.

"God give me strength. The first prince is a dumbass while the others aren't that much better." She sighed while looking at the photo frame next to her computer.

"Just you watch sis, I'll catch up soon. A little set back like this won't dissuade me."

Sitting up straight, she tapped away at the computer before getting dressed.

She was going to personally look for the asshat that had stolen her key.

"Hmm… how peculiar. First brother is trying to interact with this new girl that sister has brought with her while Third Brother is doing the same but with much less success. They're both there for her appearance. Tch, idiots." The second prince Elashor sneered.

Thinking about how he could use this situation to his advantage, he leaned back on his chair.

"Help my third brother find some opportunities to talk to the girl. That way, we can spark something between first and third brother. If I can get first brother to weaken third brother a little, it would make it easier for me when I fight him. After all, his domain is rather annoying." Elashor said while glancing at the person by his side.

"Speaking of which, it seems like you weren't able to obtain the key."

"Mn. Rising Sun is closer so it's only natural that they have more people. It's fine to give up the key for now if it means saving man power. Plus, I got some news saying that a third party had interfered and stole the key from them." The man chuckled.

"I see. I wonder who's able to take the key from them during the transaction. What is the auction house saying about this? It happened inside their building after all." Elashor asked curiously.

"They're offering some compensation for now but it seems like the branch leader of the Rising Sun isn't taking it. She's making a move personally to find out who the culprit was. Who knows, we may even get a chance to send her out of this race for good." The man smiled while killing intent could be seen in his eyes.

"Don't make too much of a mess if you can. I still need this country in decent shape. If the citizens are scared of the ruler, the country won't last long." Elashor shook his head.

"I'll try and limit the casualties if I can."

Returning to the castle, she saw that the party had finally returned.

"Hou~ Seems like you've been busy while I wasn't looking." Shiro smiled after seeing their levels.
