She has to be extra careful. It's not good if she changes things here and so; she must stick to the book if what will happen next. Besides, her birthday is approaching. What she remembers, they will go to j.a.pan, and she will also meet Quinn on that day of her birthday.
She needs to be careful. Lydia will choose that expensive restaurant where Quinn has a dinner meeting. But she can't recall the name of that restaurant. She has to remember it.
Anyway, they were even. Last time, she's the one who was crying and Quinn who gives her a shoulder to cry on. Last night, she did comfort him as they both ache for the same people who were not in this life. The difference between them is they were living in a different lifetime. And she cannot avoid not relating to the sorrow the Quinn here is feeling until now.
Hmm... She better write what happen yesterday.
Ca.s.sie stepped down from the bed and crawl underneath. She locates a certain piece of plywood and pulls it. Under is where she had hidden her secret diary.
In this notebook, she wrote everything that happened to her since she arrived in this life. After he wrote on it, she put back the notes where it's hidden.
Today, she will stay home so that there is no chance she meets Quinn, one more time.

PRESENT TIME
She disappeared once again.
Quinn covered his face with both of his palms. His elbow rested on his knees, and he has been in this position for maybe an hour. In which, Levi and Madison were worried already, that is why they keep peeping from outside the library.
He sighed. This morning, he went to the kitchen to prepare their breakfast. When he came back, Ca.s.sandra gives him a shocking and frightening expression. Grateful, Madison arrives and the one who explains things to her. The usual, they made another version of the story.
Good thing, he first cleaned her body with a damped towel and put a dress. He's actually worried might Ken suddenly come into the room while Ca.s.sandra still sleeping, and he found her naked. His reasons, he cares more about other men seeing her naked body than discovering they were sleeping together.
He sighed once again, thus he noticed that Madison is approaching him.
"Papa?"
Madison is worried about him. Ca.s.sandra disappears once again, and she could understand he wanted to cry.
"Madison," he looks up, sadly he smiled at her. "Thank you for being there right away. I don't know what to reason her again."
"Your welcome, Papa… Actually, strangely I perceive something, that is why I run to Mama's bedroom."
"And you arrived at the right time," his conclusion. "Does the first time you experience this? Or something happens to you before, aside from time traveling?" he asked.Â
Truly, he is more than curious now. He and Madison experiencing odd things lately... that's right. He also discovers something about himself no one he told about it yet.
"About that, Papa. I seem to like, seeing something that happens in the past. It was like a flash but detailed. Actually, Lady Isabella told me that since I was a kid, I already possess this, but it is when I hold someone's hand. I could show her the past she misses seeing."
"Wow, really? But now? They're like a vision in your head?"
"Yes, Papa… so, I hope, with this, I could better help to find Mama as soon as possible."
A sad smile, and a sad eye that Quinn responded to her. And her hurt wrenched with pain.
Why is this happening to them? She really wishes to help them. If only she could better use of her capability.
"Papa, don't you think? What does the time where mama, is right now?"
"Now you mentioned it, I was curious too. I should ask her the next time she came back. Why? Did you have any idea?"
"I was just wondering, that maybe if I focus to think which day she was now, maybe we can connect her time and ours?"
"That's right! Maybe that's what we must do!" Entering the Library carrying a tray of refreshments, Levi joins the conversation.
"It is one of the machines we needed."
"It will be like a time machine?" asked Madison.
"Maybe. And— Oh, we can just ask her if what time and year she's from," Quinn remembered. All have to do is to ask the Ca.s.sandra who with them right here.
"You are right, Papa!"
"However, we have to figure out how we can make sure that you will be fine after the time travel."
"Don't worry about me, Papa. I will be fine and I will do everything I could."
"Thank you, Madison. But this is a brilliant idea. I should further discuss this with Derek. We need this system that makes the time connects to whichever we like to go."
"Maybe Lady Isabella could help Papa? She could travel to the time she wants to go. Probably, she does something during those attempts?" she speculates.
"Yes. We badly needed her knowledge and guidance."
"What is the progress, brother Quinn?" Levi asked afterward.
"Jessie reported to me, the rebellion is retreating. But they caught a few prisoners and saved the hacker they kidnapped."
"Oh, is it the hacker is a female? You mentioned it before."
"Yes."
"Hmm..."
"They must retreat after the Alliance sending a lot of back-ups."
"And the Latin Americans who're loyal to the Alliance lend a hand as well to save Lady Isabella. They were already giving an apology."
"Then that's good. What did Uncle Nicholas words about this?"
"He is wary because it must remain hidden. But with the bold plans by the rebellion, everything almost messes up. Anyhow, they will try to cover everything."
"The system is down, that should fix."
"Yes. Rudolf will work on it."
"Ah, the computer freak!" Levi burst out.
"Don't let him hear you saying that," Quinn warned him.
Levi laughed, and Madison just shook her head. Then she notices Quinn seems in deep thoughts. "Did other things bothered you, Papa?"
Quinn looked up and stared at the couple seated in front of him. "Truth is, I can't stay at ease that he is here."
Levi and Madison glanced at each other. They understand what Quinn pertaining to... If they were not traveling time once again days ago before Ken shows up in Paris, they would not think that could be possible... that Ken Chen would be a big part of the huge mysteries.
With this, more puzzle they must solve...
