"Brother Jiang, allow Yuxin to check your condition," said Ran Xiyu .

She had been worried about Jiang Lius.h.i.+'s well-being the whole time . Although she had scanned his body and found that there were no complications, Ran Xiyu was still worried . After all, Li Yuxin was the one that specialized in discovering and healing hidden wounds . At the same time, Ran Xiyu felt better as she had recovered and Tsukuyomi had not injured her directly .

"I'm okay, don't worry!" replied Jiang Lius.h.i.+, shaking his head . Then, he stared at Ye Yuekong because he wanted to ask her something .

Ye Yuekong stared him back, slack-jawed . "You… do you know who you killed? It's Tsukuyomi!" she said with a trembling voice . Then, she added without waiting for Jiang Lius.h.i.+ to respond, "He was one of Genesis' starting members, and one of the four strongest Advocates . After killing my father, he should be the third person in the ranks . However, you only needed two gunshots to defeat him! It's inconceivable!"

In Ye Yuekong's mind, the winner and the loser were already predestined, but in the blink of an eye, one gunshot reversed the whole situation .

"Don't forget that I was not fighting alone . My teammates a.s.sisted me and stalled for time . If not for them, I would already be dead," explained Jiang Lius.h.i.+ .

It may seem that Jiang Lius.h.i.+ had reversed the situation with a mere bullet, but in actuality, it was more complex than it seemed . The unknown factors and pressure he felt, coupled with using his abilities to their max potential, had taken a great toll on him . Just as an old saying goes, "When everybody adds fuel, the flames rise high . "

On the other hand, Tsukuyomi had not anyone a.s.sisting him . As soon as Jiang Lius.h.i.+ marked, he was doomed to fall . This also explained the importance of concealing one's combat abilities, or any abilities whatsoever, especially when the opponents were stronger . Jiang Lius.h.i.+ understood that principle, so he was not satisfied with himself in the least . Instead, he felt the urge to further improve his strength .

"Ye Yuekong, do you anything about the battle prowess or abilities of the current Chancellor and any other members?" asked Jiang Lius.h.i.+ .

Ye Yuekong shook her head . "I'm sorry, but I don't know . Even if I knew something, it might be something they deliberately released to entrap their opponents . They've been paranormals for almost half a century now . Thus, they had enough time to improve and hone their abilities . Only they know how powerful they are!"

Jiang Lius.h.i.+ nodded, and then he asked, "Ye Yuekong, you said that the cube in possession of your father's enemy, Xue Sha, as well as the current Chancellor's confidant, right?"

"Yes!"

"Is he one of the Advocates?"

"No . "

Suddenly, Ran Xiyu spoke up . "Brother Jiang, it seems that Xue Sha is not at the headquarters . They should have evacuated in advance as I cannot detect any people inside . " She had scanned the whole area but to no avail .

"I also didn't see Shen Kui . I guess that he fled with Xue Sha and the core members," said Ye Yuekong .

"Shen Kui had attacked us twice already! Even if there was no Black Rubik's Cube, I would not let him escape," said Jiang Lius.h.i.+ coldly .

Ling could sense his killing intent, so she asked to confirm her speculation, "Brother Jiang, are we going to chase aster Shen Kui?"

"Of course! Ye Yuekong, do you know the direction of Genesis' headquarters?" asked Jiang Lius.h.i.+ .

Upon hearing that, Ye Yuekong's eyes almost popped out of her head due to shock . "I don't know its exact location, but I know the path we should follow . "

After that, Jiang Lius.h.i.+ and the others left the Sword Club's headquarters, and they saw a group of the Sword Club's armed members standing outside . However, n.o.body dared to shoot at all .  

They had heard the explosive sounds coming from the building . Even the building was on the verge to collapse from all the violent shaking . They didn't have the chance to join the battle at all . At last, seeing the tour bus exiting, they all understood the battle's outcome .  

"We won't kill the ones that surrender! Don't blame us for being ruthless toward the ones that don't comply!" Ran Xiyu's cold voice resounded outside .

Originally, some of the members found it hard to accept their loss, but after hearing the cold voice, they had to face the harsh reality . After a moment of silence, several people took the initiative and threw their guns on the ground . Then, the rest of them followed suit . Even the leaders had fled, so why would they put their life on the line now?

"Who can tell me where your warehouse is?" asked Jiang Zhuying gleefully . Although she was looked quite cute, her eyes were sharp and cold .

Soon, a man stood out and said, "I will tell you . . . "

That man led them to the warehouse, where all the valuable resources such as excellent quality mutant meats, weapons, ammunition and so on, were stored . Jiang Lius.h.i.+ even found lots of armor-piercing projectiles suitable for his sniper rifle .

Satisfied with their gains, Jiang Lius.h.i.+ absorbed everything into the tour bus' storage s.p.a.ce . What came as a great surprise was that amongst the loot were two level-2 mutant nuclei and three level-2 blood nuclei . He could not believe that the others had fled so hurriedly that they did not even have the time to take such valuable things with them .  

When Jiang Lius.h.i.+ held the mutant nuclei, he sensed the potent energy stored in them . Once he absorbed them, the blue cl.u.s.ter of light would definitely increase in size . During the earlier battle, Jiang Lius.h.i.+ realized his shortcomings . He had to increase his strength as according to Ye Yuekong Genesis had two members that were more powerful than Tsukuyomi .

The man, who had led the way, was standing outside with halted breath . Originally he thought that Jiang Lius.h.i.+'s team would stay inside for a long time, but his speculation was wrong as they soon came out . He looked inside curiously and was almost scared to death . Almost the whole warehouse had been emptied!

'How did they do it? How can a man and a few girls accomplish that?' thought the man . No matter how he thought about it, the outcome would not change . The warehouse had been emptied, which signified the Sword Club's fall .

Amongst the gathered crowd, Jiang Lius.h.i.+ spotted Long Teng's members . He knew that Long Teng may take over this area . However, whether Long Teng could control it, or not on its own was something that Jiang Lius.h.i.+ didn't know . He had already a.s.sisted his struggling compatriots in laying their foundation, so their survival depended on them now . His current goal was to find Shen Kui and obtain the storage cube!

The s.h.i.+ Ying Squad left the Sword Club's base, and the tour bus soon entered the expressway, rus.h.i.+ng toward the direction of Genesis's headquarters . There were basically no zombies on the expressway . They didn't know whether it was cleaned up in advance or not . However, on the two sides of the road, they could occasionally see the huge skeletons mutant beasts . Some houses not far away revealed a very unnerving and chilly feeling .
