Five minutes after Ran Xiyu's warning, several dark spots appeared northwest in the sky .  

It flabbergasted Jiang Lius.h.i.+ as it was not what he expected, huge beasts that is . If not for their resounding roars, Jiang Lius.h.i.+ would think that those spots were airplanes . Gradually, the dark spots got closer and Jiang Lius.h.i.+ was finally able to see them clearly; they were huge beasts with two giant wings .  

The flapping of their wings generated whistling sounds in the air like the sharp static from a radio, but its decibels were extremely high .   

"They are . . . bats!" said Ran Xiyu suddenly .  

Jiang Lius.h.i.+ shared the same thoughts, but it was quite hard to believe that those monsters in the sky were really bats . Their wings were at least 10 meters long! If they were to descend, one wing would be enough to overshadow and cover a small car completely . Compared to their wings, the bats' bodies were relatively small, but they still resembled that of adult tigers! 

In Jiang Lius.h.i.+'s mind, those were not bats but winged-tigers . Thus, he couldn't help but a.s.sociate them with the extinct overlord of the sky–the Quetzalcoatlus . It was the largest flying beast ever discovered by humans . It was also said that their wingspans were of more than ten meters . Although the Quetzalcoatlus' neck might be longer, it was much lighter than the beasts flying toward Jiang Lius.h.i.+'s team . It was hard to imagine it was possible for them to even fly in the sky! 

"What's that?" asked Jiang Cheng in horror .  

'How can such beasts exist in j.a.pan!?' 

Jiang Cheng had experienced so much in a single day that he had to reconsider everything he knew . He, as well as most of the spectators suddenly felt like tiny ants in the vast world . It was their first time seeing such peculiar beasts . In their minds, those monsters could easily lift an adult, fierce lion .  

Only Xia Mei's brother became excited upon seeing the huge beasts .  

"Kamikaze Beasts! Kamikaze Beasts! Beat witness to their might!" Xia Mei's speech was incoherent and confusing .  

Jiang Lius.h.i.+ was caught off guard, not expecting for Xia Mei's brother to recognize the peculiar beasts . It had to be known that Kamikaze meant Divine Wind, and the j.a.panese treated it as a sacred ent.i.ty . Back when the Mongols had been sweeping Eurasia, both times that the Mongol fleets had tried to attack j.a.pan they had been deterred by raging typhoons . Their timing, as well as their force, were the primary factors that made them known as Divine Winds . In the closing stages of the Pacific campaign of World War II, the j.a.panese established Kamikaze, which was a part of the j.a.panese Special Attack Units .  

The words and actions of Xia Mei's brother showed that the j.a.panese treated those bats as deities . It also showed Genesis' status in j.a.pan . Although Genesis' influence in China was limited, for now, it was the exact opposite for j.a.pan . Even a beast controlled by one of Genesis' Advocates was actually revered as a deity .  

"Kamikaze Beasts! They came here to save us!" shouted another member of the Sword Club .  

Initially, all the Sword Club's members were utterly scared of Jiang Lius.h.i.+, but now that the Kamikaze Beasts appeared the spark of hope was reignited . Hence, they held on their weapons tightly and started fighting back again .  

"F*ck! It's time for you to wake up! Wen Tian, shoot them down!" ordered Yuan Fei .

Wen Tian was the woman dressed in military attire . Complying with Yuan Fei's order, she swiftly grabbed for the sniper rifle strapped on her back . Surprisingly, it was a Barrett, an anti-materiel sniper rifle used by the military of the United States, after pa.s.sing the test of the Gulf War . Needless to say, its power was extremely high and its reputation outmatched the AMR-2 .  

Seeing a woman carrying it was a strange sight as even Special Forces soldiers had to be in a p.r.o.ne position in order to shoot . However, Wen Tian not only could hold it in her hands while standing, but she was also using armor-piercing projectiles as bullets . That kind of bullet could penetrate a 35mm steel plate within a distance of 500 meters . Its destructive ability was simply amazing!

In the blink of an eye, Wen Tian had finished a.s.sembling and loading the weapon, as well as aiming at her target . In the next instant, a loud sound came from the weapon and a bullet traversed a straight trajectory in the air, hitting a bat's head directly! Unfortunately, Wen Tian didn't have any chance to feel happy; instead, her expression stiffened .  

Wen Tian was at a loss as the bullet had momentarily stunned the beast before it continued flying!

'How can this be possible?' Wen Tian felt it was strange and impossible . Her special ability was related to shooting, so she firmly believed her shot would have been successful . It was possible she'd be unable to kill the heavy-armored pangolin, but the bats were different as they had no layer of protection .  

Suddenly, Yuan Fei shouted, "Be careful!" Then, he jumped toward her and pulled her aside . Meanwhile, the spot where she was earlier standing burst open!

Upon realizing what happened, a cold sweat covered Wen Tian's back . The stone plate where she had been standing had turned into a powder that was dancing violently in the air .  

"Wh- What was that attack?"

"It's ultrasound!" speculated Yuan Fei .  

A powerful enough ultrasound could shatter any object, and it was named ultrasonication . In medicine, ultrasound was used to shatter the stone in a person's body, but it was a process that needed a lot of time . However, right before the eyes, the stone plate had been turned to powder in just a second!
