As a level-2 paranormal, Lu Changfei was undoubtedly very powerful. In particular, he possessed muscle strengthening and skeletal metallization abilities. His defense was comparable to tanks. However, even tanks, such as light tanks, could not withstand a rocket's impact.

Battle tanks had frontal armors, which could withstand rockets' impact without any problems, but even though many called Lu Changfei a humanoid tans, he was still a paranormal!

Ding Yi was shocked, but he calmed himself down. And then he shouted, "President Lu, be careful."

Lu Changfei looked back and jumped suddenly without

any hesitation and threw a metal blade out. His weapon stopped two bone blades aimed at him. A mutant mantis had just attacked him.

Ding Yi heaved a sigh of relief when he saw Lu Changfei fighting with the mutant mantis fiercely. If his rocket had killed Lu Changfei, things would be terrible. After all, Lu Changfei could be regarded as an old powerhouse in the military. At the same time, Ding Yi realized that Lu Changfei was true to his name.

"Fight!" Someone yelled loudly, and then all the members began to fight fiercely. The rifles in their hands made it look like they were throwing fireworks in the dark.

They all poured their bullets on the mutant beasts that had just rushed out of the dark forest. But then, more mutant beast rushed out of the forest, and after smelling the blood their eyes became bloodshot, and their speed increased. The injured mutant beasts lying on the ground were soon trampled by countless hooves. The large group of mutant beasts was like a dark flood.

"F*ck! How could there be so many!? Did those mutant beasts discuss it or something?" Little Seven frowned while staring at the mutant beasts that were constantly rus.h.i.+ng out of the forest. His lips started trembling from fear as there were more than 100 mutant beasts.

The other members of the Ling Feng Squad were not any better. They had only seen that many mutant beasts when the second beast tide had attacked the safety zone.

In general, a team of paranormals was enough to face a dozen or more mutant beasts, through guerrilla warfare, as it was what humans excelled in.

"Brother Seven, should we run? I don't think the heavy trucks can stop them. Even if they can help us block one or two, several level-2 mutant beasts are behind. They are scary!" A bald member of Ling Feng Squad asked Little Seven in a low voice.

"Run? F*cker, haven't you seen that Brother Jiang is still there? He ordered us, so we should so as he said! Moreover, do you really think we can escape?" Little Seven suppressed his fear and reprimanded the bald man. What he said was reasonable. It was difficult for them to escape. The blood lichens under the snow were smooth, and there were a lot of complicated terrains awaiting them such as ravines and roots. It was a piece of a cake for their vehicles to be overturned in such a dark night. In no way should they underestimate the mutant beasts' speed!

'Roar!'

Suddenly, everyone seemed to feel as if something was squeezing their hearts. An inexplicable force had infiltrated their minds, and all the members that were shooting were forced to stop.

Qi Liang and Little Seven were frightened out of their wits. It was a kind of mental attack!

"Mental attack!" Ran Xiyu shouted in the minibus. As a psychic paranormal, she could certainly identify mental attacks. The wide-range mental attack was very rare; it almost completely covered everything within three kilometers. More importantly, that kind of mental attack could selectively attack human beings, while it had no effect on mutant beasts. Ran Xiyu guessed it was similar to the concept of 'domain'.

At the moment, more than 30 people were suppressed by the mental attack. That was enough to prove how terrifying the mother beast was.

People looked at each other and then they understood that their mental suppression had disappeared thanks to that paranormal.

"She is a beauty from Brother Jiang's minibus!" Qi Liang was a smart person. He looked toward the minibus and saw two flas.h.i.+ng metallic tubes extending out of the minibus.

"…again!" Looking at the tubes, Qi Liang's felt his heart tight and his face flushed with excitement.

"What?" Little Seven was confused.

At that moment, only a buzzing sound could be heard. And then two raging fire dragons were shot from the bottom of the minibus.

The hot fiery dragons quickly shrouded many mutant beasts in front of them, and the blood lichens covering the ground turned to ash.

Everyone had the same thought, 'The blood lichens are being burnt! How can the mother beast control us now?'
