Chapter 711 - Business

The King went directly into the Queen's room when he arrived at the Weiyang Palace.

He was not sure if the Queen was really sick or trying to dodge him. He had been noticing that the Queen had been avoiding him during the past few weeks. Maybe she was just throwing her temper.

As the King walked into the room, he asked Aunt Nan and the other maids to leave them alone. So he was now in the room by himself.

He looked at the Queen's face and frowned. "Why didn't you get a doctor? You look so pale, what is going on? You haven't recovered from the cold?"

The Queen nodded briefly instead of saying anything more.

The King felt that he had been given a cold shoulder. So he showed a very unnatural expression on his face.

He explained subconsciously, "The imperial banquet has just been finished. According to the rules I should spend the night here. I could have spent the night at the Qianqing Palace, but De Fu says that we should not break the rules. That is why I am here, but you are doing so terribly, how long has this been? Why is the cold still here?"

The King made an explanation and got a bit mad.

It was just a small cold, but the imperial doctors could not do anything. He had thought that she would get better after a few days, but it had been too long.

Then he left directly.

When he left, Aunt Nan came and asked, "Are you alright?"

She did get sick, so the Queen was very tired.

When the King came out of the Weiyang Palace, he was not feeling well. He had thought that he had taken revenge. He had thought that he might lose something, but not her. However, it seemed that despite her presence, everything else was wrong.

He did not visit the Honored Princess, but went to the Qianqing Palace instead.

It was a long and short night.

The snow was falling for one whole night, yet the sun arose the following day, melting a lot of the snow.

Zhou Huaijin had intended to go out, when the Prince of the North Qi Land was announced to have arrived.

Xuan Lin? What was he doing here?

Well, Zhou Huaijin had to meet him no matter what. So he asked the housekeeper to bring him in.

Xuan Lin sat down directly as if they were friends. "Lord Huai, you have got a good mansion, much more luxurious than that of Lord Ling's. You don't seem to be qualified for such a mansion, right?"

Zhou Huaijin frowned slightly. He did not want to respond to those words, so he asked straightforwardly, "What do you want?"

Xuan Lin laughed.

Lord Huai was not an easy target.. He glanced about and said mysteriously, "Tell them to leave, I have a business deal to speak to you about."
