"Cousin, Cousin..!"

Mu Chang was in a daze when he heard someone shouting.

The only person who'd make such noise is his little cousin Xiao Shen.

He smiled for this little cousin who followed him around when she was a kid. He really likes her, even though he's always cold to her.

The moment Shen Ruyi entered, she saw Mu Chang frowning.

"What're you doing here?" he asked coldly.

Shen Ruyi pouted, "Cousin how're you? You don't know how worried I was! Who'll I pester if you leave me, huh?" Shen Ruyi complained totally ignoring his gloomy face.

Mu Chang rolled his eyes. He knows it is his aunt who informed her that he was awake. After all, his aunt owns this hospital so she knows everything that happens here.

"Don't worry I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Shen Ruyi looked at him trying to detect any discomfort on his face.

"Yeah, I'm good." Mu Chang softened when he saw the care in her eyes.

"Good, then you can help me!"

"Help?" Mu Chang furrowed his brows.

"What trouble are you in now?"

"It's not me! Why do you always a.s.sume the worst of me?"

Shen Ruyi folded her arms as she glared at him.

"Because trouble is your middle name."

"It's not me! It's my friend, a guy played with her in Paris then he mysteriously disappeared. I want you to find him for me! I will whip his a.s.s for making her sad."

"You have a friend?" Mu Chang asked her.

"Yes, Cousin. Some of us have a life apart from work."

"Well, what's her name?"

Shen Ruyi smiled

"That means you'd help me?"

"Well…" Mu chang said indifferently.

He knows how much she values her friends. So he'd definitely help her.

"Good, good. Her name is Ru s.h.i.+. We are childhood friends."

Mu Chang stiffened when he heard her.

"Wha..what did you say her name was?"

"Ru s.h.i.+." She frowned when she noticed Mu Chang's odd behavior.

"Cousin, are you ok?"

When Mu Chang realized that he was over-reacting, he resumed his indifferent look.

He knows that he can't let Shen Ruyi know that the guy was him or she would destroy his plans.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry I'll try and see if I can find him."

"Yeah, Cousin, you're the best!" Shen Ruyi kissed him on the cheeks as she shouted with glee.

"Can you leave now? I want to rest."

"Ok, I'll come later."

Just as Shen Ruyi was about to open the door, she stopped.

"By the way cousin, if you're over that witch, I can hook you up with my friend. She's really pretty. You're not getting any younger, you know!"

Mu Chang glared at her coldly.

"She's not a witch, and I can find a girl by myself. Thank you."

Shen Ruyi shook her head.

"Yeah, whatever." She said as she slammed the door.

Mu Chang sighed, who'd have thought that his Kitten was really close to him. He has to hurry and find her before his crazy cousin hooks her up with someone.

"Boss, I've found Miss Ru."

Li Yi came in as Mu Chang was about to go back to sleep.

"Really? Good!"

When Li Yi saw the smile on his boss face he finally relaxed. From now on, he swore to always be on the good side of Ru s.h.i.+.

"What did you just say?"

Ru s.h.i.+ removed the phone from her ears so as not to listen to Shen Ruyi's screams. She knew her friend could be overdramatic sometimes.

"I said I'm attending a party at the Feng's tonight."

"And you're only telling me now! Do you want me to accompany you?"

"No, I'll be fine. I don't need you to accompany me. It's just a party, not a suicide mission," Ru s.h.i.+ calmly stated. She knew Shen Ruyi was just worried about her.

Ring, ring!

Ru s.h.i.+ heard someone ringing her door bell

"I've to go. Yeah, I know bye!".

Ru s.h.i.+ hung up the phone.

When she opened the door, she saw unfamiliar men at her door.

"Miss Ru?"

Ru s.h.i.+ looked at them suspiciously

"Yes. How may I help you?"

"We're here to take you to the Spring Boutique to help you get ready for the party."

Ru s.h.i.+ thought Grandpa Feng sent them so she didn't think too much about it.

When they reached the High Standard Boutique, she saw someone waiting for her.

"Miss Ru?"

"Yes."

"Please come inside."

The stylist was waiting for her inside in the VIP room. The moment he saw Ru s.h.i.+, he smiled.

"Let's begin!"

When they finished, Ru s.h.i.+ was like a new person.

They'd replaced her dress with a white silk evening dress. The design revealed her small shoulders, her delicate collarbone and the curve of her chest slightly. It made people want to see the rest. The dress was made with a crystal clear diamond, like a s.h.i.+ning galaxy. The dress was even more gorgeous than some wedding dresses.

Looking at herself in the mirror, the makeup was light but the complete look was n.o.ble and elegant.

The long hair was rolled up and a few tendrils fell on her forehead giving a feeling of laziness.

Looking at herself in the mirror, Ru s.h.i.+ felt a little strange.

However, the smile on the stylist's face was broad.

"Mr. Li will be very happy!"

Ru s.h.i.+ frowned.

Mr. Li...who's that?

She was puzzled for a little while but she didn't think too much about it.

At the party, Ru s.h.i.+ had a white cat mask on. Most of her face was hidden under the mask, which was full of charm and glamour.

Soon, someone with a vampire mask approached her and wanted to dance with her, but she refused.

Looking at the luxurious scenes, even with men and women busy talking and laughing, she knew that there were hypocritical faces everywhere.

She had always hated this kind of events since her parents died!

However, since Grandpa Feng had invited her, how could she not show up?

Ru s.h.i.+ was bored, just as she was about to go find a quiet place she heard a low sounding voice.

"Beautiful lady, may you please dance with me?"

"No!"

Ru s.h.i.+ didn't look at him as she refused directly.

But the other party did not allow her to refuse. One big hand held her wrist, as the other hooked her waist and brought her to the dance floor.

In an instant, the music was changed, to a slow and pa.s.sionate number.

Ru s.h.i.+ wanted to see the face of the man in front of her, but realized that he had a black-panther mask on.

That mask made Ru s.h.i.+ raise her defenses. She subconsciously stepped back but the man's big hand brought her back. He held her so tightly that she could not resist.

Her body twirled and fell into his arms. His hand firmly held her waist, and his lips drew close to her earlobe. She trembled.

She wanted to escape, but she could not.

His low voice rang in her ear.

"Cats and panthers are both cats. So, a white cat and a black panther are a perfect match!"

Ru s.h.i.+ looked at him as a thought flashed through her mind.

"You..! Who're you?"
