Chapter 4003: Challenge of Teamwork IV

Challenge of Teamwork IV

"The location of the second mark had appeared," said Iarys and everybody looked before we started moving toward it.

It is a little far, but we should be able to reach there in around half an hour with the speed we are moving.

With our full speed, five minutes would have been more than enough, but even after the battle, everybody is cautious.

They are careful, knowing we might have an advantage, but there might be some people here who have the power to shrink that advantage, even neutralize it

A few minutes pa.s.sed and sensed a team. It was beyond the top hundred that we didn't even discuss them.

There was no need.

The moment the other team sensed us. First, a fear appeared in their eyes, before they scuttle away.

Everybody who had come this far was powerful. The only difference is some are more powerful, while some are less powerful.

They might be less powerful, but they are equally intelligent. They understand very well, how great folly it would be to engage with us.

At best, all of them would be injured. At worst, they will be dead, and no one wants to suffer those consequences.

We spotted another team, which is within a top hundred. They didn't run away, but they didn't attack us either.

Soon, we reached the spot of the mark and started to look.

This time Iarys didn't have to tell us where to look. We moved according to the previous instructions.

"Got it!" said a mustached man and brought out from the sky.

He placed it on the map, the same place we had placed the mark before. It shone and disappeared, while the number turned two.

"West," said Iarys as the location of the third mark appeared.

We moved toward it immediately.

We are not wasting any time. We knew there were many intelligent people who solved the puzzle in minutes as we did and searched for the marks.

It would be bad. If we lose this challenge. Winning, will give all of us perfect points.

"So, what is the final reward for the millennial challenge?" I asked a few minutes later.

I had asked before but didn't get an answer. Now there are four and I might get it. "You really don't know?" asked Hayat.

"I had come here thinking it is a century challenge. I didn't even know, there is a millennium challenge.

"Yet, you topped the first three challenges one after another," commented Iarys and I turned to him.

"I didn't say, I am weak," I replied with a smile, before turning at them expectantly.

"So, what is it?" I asked and faint hesitation appeared on their faces.

"It's a mark," replied Aros finally.

"Like the way, we are searching?" I asked, feeling confused to which they shook their heads. "No, it's a mark of law," replied Iarys. "It is a thing that will be imprinted on you and will give you law trance several times; it is much better than liquid," explained Hayat.

Hearing that, my heartbeat couldn't help but quicken. I had read about those things.

They are amazing, much better than liquid, that Prime Volsnorth wants.

Even I couldn't help but desire it. Though I wouldn't break my word; I value it more than any resource in the world.

"What element?" I asked.

"Earth," they replied in unison, while their eyes turned sharp as they saw the disappointment appearing in my eyes.

I may not want it, but there is still hope in my heart. It would be of some other element; my element.

"It could be taken out of the castle for someone else?" I asked, and all of them shook their heads with their breath quickening and eyes becoming sharper.

"f.u.c.k!" I cursed.

Prime Volsnorth would be ecstatic. If I had got for him, but it turned out his luck isn't that good either.

"Well, it seemed like, all of you should stop planning to kill me. I have no interest in first prize," I stated, and their eyes widened.

"You are a breaker," said Anna, and she seemed quite sure of that.

I didn't say anything to that. Even my expressions didn't change.

"What rules have you comprehended in your world?" asked Hayat and this time, I smiled, but didn't say anything more.

"A breaker like you didn't need a mark of law."

"There is a good chance, you will comprehend the law within a day of your breakthrough, thanks to the base you have from the Rule you had comprehended," said Iarys, with envy apparent in his eyes.

This is the greatest advantage of the breakers.

As long as we reach the Prime. Comprehending the rules isn't much challenge to us.

Some really talented do it in minutes, some take days, but no breaker takes more than a week before they comprehend the laws

Reaching there is an enormous challenge, greater than even the people of this world face.

It will resist us.

Thankfully, I practice the celestial method, which helps me with the resistance.

With it, I am a denizen of the world.

The minutes pa.s.sed in silence. Though there may be silence outside, there is a loud noise in

their minds.

I could see a hundred thousand thoughts running through their minds.

They might think, I am lying. So, they wouldn't attack me, but some part of them would believe, I might be telling the truth, which meant, the four of them needed to contend for the

final prize.

The glances are moving toward Anna; she is the highest scorer after me.

I have given them hope. Charged their spirit for the final prize, which many unconsciously thought would be mine, seeing my score.

Soon, we reached the spot of the third mark. We found it within a minute before moving

forward.

We came across teams, but they stayed away from us and soon, the fourth mark appeared in our hands and forty minutes later, the fifth one.

We were moving for the sixth one when our expressions turned serious.

"They are following us," said Hayat.

It is not just people that had made us serious, but also the numbers.
