4000 Challenge of Teamwork I
Volsnorth
"Alkaz is really a b.a.s.t.a.r.d! They knew about the millennial challenge and didn't tell us!" I cursed, looking at the information that Aevith had just brought.
"The intelligence would have helped him," said Aevith, and I couldn't help, but nod.
The organization had two keys. One went to me, the other to Carlis.
"Has Carlis had an idea about it?" he asked, to which she shrugged. Carlis had sent her descendent; she is more powerful than Micheal, but he is more resourceful.
Strength isn't enough to finish the challenge, and now I read the information about the Millennium challenge, I know, I had made a wise decision in choosing Micheal.
He is really good. A healer, alchemist, runemaster, and culinary master
There are very few people in Tor's short history as talented as him. I am confident, he will do well in the challenge, but I am not so sure about him getting the thing I want.
I had heard the people of two Golden Primes and Alkaz had gone there.
Those b.a.s.t.a.r.ds had acted really sneakily. We didn't have any idea about, it till it was too late.
"It's not bad news, but good news for you," said Aevith, and I turned to her.
"Look at the reward chart. Now, he didn't have to come first to get you the thing you want, but you should really pray, he didn't come first, or you will not get the thing you want," she said with a laugh.
The first prize had filled me with desire.
It was so great that if I could go there, I would have gone there without hesitation.
Unfortunately, no matter what I desired, I couldn't get it.
Even If Micheal could get it; he won't be able to bring it for me. Even if he could, Micheal would take it himself rather than give me.
I do not doubt him, but that thing is so great. If I had been in his place, I would have taken it for myself.
"Let's hope he returns safely. I would be ecstatic if brought the thing I want, but I would be fine if he returned with his life in his hand," I said.
A lot of powerful members have gone there and seeing the prizes, there would be a bloodbath when they came out.
I only hope the little guy comes out safely.
..
"Third,"
I sighed as I heard. Not even second, but third.
Not that it would have mattered. If I had come second, I would still receive 90 points, but it made my ego hurt a little.
"I am not," said the mustached man angrily, before turning to the woman.
She kept her expressions neutral, but we know, she is the one who came first.
It was the first challenge, I had lost. Though I had only lost one challenge; it could have a bigger effect. If I lost, the next two challenges as well.
Things aren't that bad, seeing I had come first in three challenges and even got a bonus, but I have been too careful.
The first is not to lose any challenge, but even if I lose. I need to earn at least ninety points.
If this challenge is anything to go by, then I am pretty sure, the challenges ahead would be just as bad. Especially for me, that everybody is targeting.
A few seconds ago, when I tried to slip up, everybody moved to stop me.
Hun!
I was thinking about that when two appeared above us. It is a girl and the Fox Beastman.
They landed a moment later. A smile appeared on the girl's face, but a minor disappointment appeared on the Fox Beastman's face.
"I thought I would best you in this challenge, but you came first again," said Fox Beastman, to which I shook my head.
"You didn't?" he asked in surprise.
"Then who came first?" he asked, to which I smiled. He kept looking at me, but I didn't say anything.
"Are you the first Gravkis?" he asked to mustached man but glared in return.
"It seemed like, you are first to the Challenge of Intelligence, madam," he said with flair to the woman.
She watched him expressionlessly before walking toward the bronze door.
Stepped!
A moment later, I followed behind. Appearing in a familiar hall with the twelve doors closed.
"What do you think the next challenge would be?" I asked the Fox Beastman as he appeared beside me.
"It could be a challenge to combat or challenge of puzzles. There is even a challenge of water one time; it's hard to say," he replied with a shrug.
I would have liked to. If I had some information. I wouldn't have felt so blind to these challenges.
It feels especially frustrating when many have information, but I don't.
I talked to him for a minute more and sat down before closing my eyes. We are here till the twelve hours are over and I would like to have as much as rest possible.
Buzz!
Time pa.s.sed, and soon, I felt the buzz when the twelve hours were over.
People begin to leave through the gate. I took followed behind, before stepping into the gate.
Step!
"Challenge of Teamwork," I heard and looked. It's really a challenge for teamwork; I looked at the information and my widened.
"Till now everything ever had been the same, now it will be b.l.o.o.d.y," said the girl beside me and I wish, I could say, she was wrong.
It will be bad. Especially for someone like me; I will be targeted the most.
"We are f.u.c.ked," said Fox Beastman as he looked at the rules. "I hope, I get good teammates," he added, before looking at the clay pot, which had a timer of one minute.
It will show us who the members of our team are.
According to the rules. The people are divided into teams of five, and they will need to find the ten golden marks within twenty-four hours.
Like the Fox Beastman says, a lot of it will depend on good teammates.
Mine might as well abandon me or even kill me. Seeing the trouble, I could bring them with a huge freaking target on the back.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
