Chapter 3500 Grimms
It had been five and a half days since I was traveling through this hot realm of ser august.
I had not stopped, except for eating, sleeping, and practice.
I would eat only once a day, sleep every other day, and practice every three days. There was study, but I didn't stop for that; I just handed over the control of my body to my clone while I entered my core and attended the lesson.
The change started happening after five days; the weather started to get cooler, and a little more greenery began to appear.
From what I heard, the newly opened area is filled with verdant forests and there are Grimms.
I have become sure of the Grimms; some people are running away from them. Not only the Sovereigns but also Earth Sovereigns.
They seemed to be doing something there.
I wouldn't have known about it. If not for coming across the member of Tor.
Seeing the numbers of Grimms in the realm, they have upped the quota of Tor to a thousand and sent more people into the realm.
Many of these people appear in the newly opened area. It is part of the realm, after all.
A few more hours pa.s.sed, and it was night.
This realm didn't have energy changes other than usual that happened between the day and night.
Which is disappointing; I held an advantage in such conditions.
It was around nine. I had stopped at a secluded s.p.a.ce and brought out the formation to hide every sigh of me, before taking out the hot meal. My clone had cooked for me.
I could have taken out the abode, but it would make discovering me easier, rather than difficult.
So, unless, I am planning on sleeping. I won't be summoning the abode.
Hun!
I was in the middle of the dinner when I sensed something faint. It stopped me mid-bite and a moment later, the meal box disappeared from my hand and so did the formation cover me.
I got up from my spot and moved toward the energy fast.
I wanted to move faster, discarding the stealth covering me, but I controlled my emotions and began to slow down the closer I got.
Finally, I stopped and saw the source of energies.
There are five Earth-Sovereign Grimms not far away from me and they are fighting against three natives.
It is more like suppressing them.
The three are defending well and trying to retreat, but the Grimms are stopping them.
If the Grimms had a similar number, they wouldn't have had any problem in retreating. They wouldn't have needed to retreat, but now they do.
I looked for a moment, checking if there were any Grimm around me, and when I saw none; I moved toward Grimms.
They sensed me as I reached a mile distance from them and became careful.
However, the thing that seemed to have made them careful was not my aura, but the maniac smile, I had been having unconsciously on my face.
It had been so long since I had fought against the Grimms. It has been over two years and I miss them.
"Good, another native. I will have fun eating you, little red," said the short Werewolf coming at me.
It had not come alone, but also brought the partner; both of them are High-Earth Sovereigns.
There are five Grimms here, three are Crockman, and two are werewolves. Except for the leader, Crockman, who is at the Peak of the Earth-Sovereign stage, the others are at the high level of the Earth-Sovereign stage.
It is regretful that not even one of them had the Bloodline.
I was hoping at least one of them would do it, but they did not, which is disappointing. However, I didn't remain disappointed for long, seeing I have uses for them too.
"Die you b.a.s.t.a.r.d," roared the Werewolf as it attacked from my left. The other Werewolf, which is slightly taller, attacked from my right.
They didn't hold back and attacked me with a powerful attack from the beginning.
A green spear appeared in my hand, and I moved right, while moving my sword toward the attack on the right.
A faint surprise appeared in the eyes of the short Grimm, while I grinned back.
I have killed more Grimms than it had met in its whole lifetime. It will have to be much smarter than it if it wants to fool me.
Seeing I had found out what they were planning; the powerful aura blasted off their bodies.
The power of their attack had increased, and so had the speed. The one with the fastest speed and strongest attack is the Werewolf on my right, who was the weakest of the two earlier.
CLANNG!
I dodged the attack on the left by inches and defended the one on the right with my spear.
This time, there was no surprise, but anger did increase in their eyes as they launched another attack.
CLANNG CLANNG CLANNG
I dodged the attack of the right one and defended against the attack of the left one with the back of my spear.
I had just done that when I had to move to dodge the attack again and defend against another attack of the huge claw.
These two are good and seem to have worked together for a long time, seeing how they are reading each other movements and how their attacks sync.
Even the enemy is stronger than them would have dealt with these two, if they are not experienced enough.
I have enough experience, which is why I am cautious in my mind, despite having a smile on my face.
These people are good at pulling out tricks and if one is not careful enough, they die before they know it.
I have seen countless people die in the hands of the Grimms like this.
CLANNNG CLANNNG CLANNNG
Their attacks got stronger and stronger, while I kept harnessing more and more power to defend against their attacks.
I would shake, and sometimes even take steps back, dodging the attack from such a distance, that it would make the Grimms take an even bigger risk with me.
These two are cautious, the taller one especially. It is very careful of every move of it, unlike the shorter one, which is letting go of its cautiousness slowly.
CLANNNG!
My sword clashed against the attack of the taller one, sending me back a couple of steps, where the short one used the strongest attack.
I tried to stabilize myself faster and dodge the attack, but a taller one also coming at me with another attack.
"Now, you are mine, little red," said the short Werewolf as its claw reached inches away from me.
Its claw was about to touch me when something surprising happened.
I moved away from the claw and did it at such speed that it made the eyes of both Grimms widen.
As I moved away, I leaped in the air and appeared in front of the chest of short Grimm, before attacking it with my spear.
The moment needed to be perfect; the taller one was powerful, and I needed to attack the short one at a time when it couldn't rescue it.
Which I did. Let's hope, I succeed.
