Chapter 3473 Knock
"Thank you for your a.s.surance. Mr. Oliver," said the man and walked out of my abode before flying away.
It had been only a few hours since I had set up an abode and the city had sent its representative.
I hope my words would have been enough to keep the news contained for a few days. I don't want those three organizations or spies of cult present in their organization to find out about it.
I have hinted at the gravity of the situation and made him understand how powerful people are involved in it.
I closed the door and walked into my bedroom.
Now, that I have met the representative from the city. I would be able to sleep without any worry.
I just hope they will arrive soon, with someone powerful.
I sighed and closed my eyes as I lay on the bed. It had been nearly three days since I slept.
A few minutes later, I was asleep and woke up in the morning eight hours later, feeling completely refreshed.
I stayed on the bed for a few minutes, before getting up and walking to the bathroom.
Half an hour later, I came out and dried myself, before wearing comfortable clothes and walking into the kitchen, where I cooked myself a light breakfast.
After I finished eating, I washed the plates, before laying on the couch.
I closed my eyes, and a moment later; I was at my core. I didn't go to the library and instead turned to the two clones working.
There are important things happening there; the clone working on the alchemy is practicing the things I have learned through the experience, and I am already making progress there.
I only looked at my alchemy clone for a few seconds before focusing on my artifice clone.
It had finally started on the thing for which I had waited for more than a year.
The abode.
It had started working on it, and it will not be the process of a few days. No, it is going to last longer, months, but I will finish it. Since I have all the material, I need to forge the abode.
A few days ago, I found a wonderful material; that is going to make the abode even better.
It is not something I have got from outside, but something that had been produced inside. It is a s.h.i.+t from my sword; it is the best material to forge the totem artifacts and all the other artifacts.
Now it is going to help forge my armor as well.
I appeared by clone and tapped on the song of Sar, extending the workbench further, before starting to work.
I couldn't let my clone work on everything. I have to contribute something too and I did. The design for the abode is mine, and I worked alone on the formation of the abode.
It is still not complete, since I am trying to fit a few more ancient rune formations in my abode.
The abode I am trying to forge is different. I didn't want to make it like a common abode; it would be a waste.
If I wanted an abode like that, I wouldn't have made an effort to even forge it and used what I have in storage.
No, I have a vision and I will forge the abode in it.
It is why, I am delaying the reforging of my breakthrough formation. It needs reforging.
Though I didn't have complete materials for it. I had all the materials, but my own breakthrough had widened my scope and I am adding something more and thus a few more materials.
The materials are not hard to find; I should be able to find them in a city.
I am not in a hurry; I have to finish the abode first before I can start on something new.
I worked for a little over twelve hours before I stopped and walked into the library. I have a lesson in a few minutes.
I continued with my lessons even in my captivity, never missing even a single day.
It is because of this combination of lessons and the creation of the ancient rune formation for my inheritance, that my knowledge of ancient runes had taken a big leap.
I have made a huge progress in ancient runes, and I am still a beginner stage. I am making rapid progress toward the intermediate, but it will still take time for me to reach that level.
I entered the library and saw four of my clones studying and working on the inheritance.
As for the fifth one, it is busy studying the slime.
I have a huge plan with slime. It is a thing that will help me with my practice, but the slimes belong to the cult, and it would be bad. If I am seen with, or even with people suspect, I have live ones.
Worse, if they saw practice with it.
It is a thing only I could do, due to the unique nature of my body and soul, thanks to the forbidden power in it.
What I want to say, is that I didn't want to be seen using a slime. In the place I go, there will be barely any privacy due to the power of people who will be able to look at me without even noticing.
So, I am trying to use a different method and with my breakthrough, I might be able to.
However, I will need a lot of data and do some experiments before I can even begin.
I walked toward the inheritance my clones were working on and directed them, before sitting back in my chair.
"Teacher," I greeted, one and a half minutes later.
The lesson began, and it lasted for four and a half hours, one of the longest before it ended and the teacher disappeared, while I stayed working on the homework.
It took me a few hours to finish it and I took a break for lunch, before appearing in my core.
I studied in the library and worked on my inheritance for hours, before walking out of the library and appearing on the second island, beside my clone, who is working on the slimes.
I helped the clone before going back to work with the artificer clone to forge the abode.
I worked till late at night when I came out of the abode. I am so tired, that I decided to sleep on the couch.
The four-time, time dilation is amazing, but it is also tiring if I work on mind-intensive activities, which every activity inside my core is.
I woke up four hours later and went back to my room to freshen up and shower.
Like yesterday, I went back to the kitchen and cooked myself a good breakfast.
Knock Knock!
I was about to set the plate on the table to eat when I heard the knock on the door.
It surprised me because my soul sense is covering the around the abode, but I didn't sense the person appearing in front of my door.
I focused on a person and sensed nothing and needed to focus hard to sense the old man standing by the door.
'He arrived,' I thought and walked toward the door, with a jumble of emotions in my heart.
