Chapter 3230 Interview

"Give him a chance, Mom; he seemed nice," said the youthful voice from behind her.

A moment later, a young girl of nine, or ten, revealed herself, and she is cute. Not as cute as my sister, but very cute, with her pink horns and wings.

"Vana, he is without a badge," said the mother, closing the door further while hiding her daughter behind her. "I think we should give him a chance. If we don't like him, we can ask him to leave," said the young girl.

My heart couldn't help but melt hearing those words. She is an innocent girl who hadn't seen the cruelties of the world yet.

I have rarely seen such innocent children, especially when I entered the central continent. There is every child was aware of the danger of the Grimms and that brought somber maturity to them.

I hope now, they will have a normal childhood.

"Please, I only need a chance. If you don't like me after, I will leave without saying a word," I requested one last time.

"Fine. You can come in," said the mother and sighed. "But remember. If you don't have the skill, I need it. I will throw you out immediately," she added and opened the door wider.

"Don't worry, I will not disappoint you," I said and entered the room.

As I entered inside, I couldn't help but become surprised. The home looked normal; there is a homey feel to it.

It reminded me of my childhood home.

For a moment, my eyes couldn't help but tear up. I miss my home, miss my parents, and my sister, but I am too weak to go find them and could only hope they are safe where they are.

I only get to see the living room before she took to the floor above, which is her alchemy lab. Filled with all the standard equipment and their quality is better than I had imagined.

She took to the stand where the standard alchemical instrument was placed, along with the ingredient.

Seeing them, I know what she will ask me to do.

"Your task is simple, craft orevak potion, within an hour. It should have at least a mid-level efficacy," she said.

She had given me a standard test; from what I heard, most alchemical guild gives this test to those who test for Grade 3, proficiency. The only there is a time limit, the guild usually gives one and a half hours, while she only gave me an hour.

"Ok," I said and begin with standard cleaning, while mother and daughter watch me from the distance.

Soon, I finished cleaning, and it was time to peel four of the resources, deseeding three and cutting a very delicate fruit. Which tends to burn itself into the ashes, if handled wrongly.

All eight resources flew up from their spot and strings of my energies moved.

There is a tool for all these processes, and they are considered safer to use than energy. Most use the tool as energy control requires these needs to be extremely precise.

The strings moved, and they peel, cut, and deseed the resources, with extreme precision.

It shocked the mother's daughter; I wonder what their reaction would have been. If I had used my full abilities, the trick that Jim had taught me.

I continued with one process after another and most of the time, forgoing the tools in front of me. To others, it might be a challenging potion to craft, but to me, not much.

If I wanted to, I could craft the whole thing using no tools.

It is nothing surprising; I had been trained by the best. My world may be a lower world, but the ones who taught me had legacy inheritances, and we have acc.u.mulated large knowledge over thousands of years from the runes.

Each one of our alchemists, who broke the limit of the world, could easily ace the Grade 3 alchemy test.

I may not be good as Jim, Grandmaster Salvador, Mary, or even Hazel, but I am quite good and become even better, after refining resources constantly and creating many alchemical products for my needs.

Though, mostly it is my clones doing the work, but the clones are me. They are practicing, me practicing is the same.

Thirty-seven minutes later; I stopped the fire and poured clear magenta liquid from the beaker into the bottle.

"I hope you are satisfied with it," I said and made a bottle fly toward her. "A clear magenta; he is as good as you, Mom," said the young girl with a smile, while the mother's expression became serious.

"You have really been robbed?" she asked me after a couple of seconds of silence.

"Yes. They took all my storage," I said and sighed. It is the truth that Earth Sovereign who kidnapped me, took all three of my storages, two open and one hidden.

"You are more than good enough. The job is yours, if you want it," she said after controlling her emotions.

"Thank you," I said.

"When can you start?" she asked. "Immediately. As you can see, I am in desperate need of the money," I said, and she nodded and could see a faint relief flas.h.i.+ng in her eyes.

"I have a large order for four Kaveus potions from the city."

"You will get five somt crystals for each potion, with one crystal extra. If potions efficacy reached a high level and three crystals extra, if it reached the peak," she said and turned to me.

"You have crafted all four Kaveus potions, right?" she asked. "Yes, I have," I replied. I have not, but I know the formulas and crafted many things similar to them.

So, there won't be any problem.

"Here are the resources for the Kaveus healing potion?" she said, putting the resources for the one unit.

"It would be better if you give me resources for all four potions and in bigger quant.i.ties," I said.

"Are you going to craft them simultaneously?" she asked. "Yes," I replied. Immediately, three more sets appear, but their quant.i.ty had not increased.

"Craft them well first. Then I will give you more resources," she said as I looked at her.

"Fair enough," I said and turned to the resources.

All of them flew up to clean and when that was done; forty-seven energy strings came out of my hand and begin to peel, cut, deseed, and do other things to them.

Once the preliminary preparations are done, I started on the real alchemy. Using the tools in front of me, as well as my methods.

Crafting four potions at the same time is not much of a challenge when the recipe is this simple. It is not as complicated as the things; I craft for my practice.

Those things require immense focus and things like the song of Sar and even then, I meet with failure many times before succeeding. The failures are frustrating, but through them, one could learn.

Time pa.s.sed as I finished one process after another and, while mother and daughter watched me.

I don't mind. The methods are not some secrets that I need to do in private. No, most of them depend on creativity and expert energy control.

Thirty-two minutes later, I am finished and poured four solutions into the four small bottles and sent them to her.

"Peak Grade 3, all of them," she said after testing them, and I sighed.
