Chapter 3067 Found Him
"You are doing good, dear," said Marina as she advised a young girl of around nine. Rose had come to us for a few days and see what I was doing, she wanted to help.
Marina had been teaching her. I could have done that, but I let Marina do it, given how Rose used to hate her when they first met. It was a child's jealousy. Rose thought Marina was going to take her brother away.
It had been three years since they had first met, and now rose knows that her brother is not going anywhere.
It had been a little over three years since the death of the Grimm and so much had changed.
The world had become vibrant. There is barely any conflict; most of the friction that happens happened between the lower powerhouses and it is solved amicably, with the systems that we put in place.
The negotiations finished a few months ago, taking nearly three hours, but the result was good and nearly everybody is happy.
The territory of the academy had increased by sixfold; we have got no part of a territory that Grimms held but expanded around the ancestral territory.
We have made deals with our neighboring organization; they give us their territories to us. We will give them the bigger ones from the land that had been occupied by the Grimms, which they are more than happy to agree.
Many members of the academy thought, we have lost a lot in the negotiations. If we had demanded, we would have gotten territories equal to that of the Supreme.
They are right, but we do not need territories equal to that of Supremes. We are not surprised and with our artifact, our academy does not need to be equal to Supremes.
A small territory is enough for us to get the talent we need and as for resources, I am leaving a legacy, which will be enough for the academy to remain self-sufficient for thousands of years, not to mention, our artifact can send us to any ruin.
Our future members will need to be strong enough to get those resources.
The same thing will happen with legacy. I am going to leave it behind. They will need to earn. I will not leave it open for them to become lazy idiots. If I do that, then it will not take the academy even a thousand years to fall.
"Good, now place the seed inside," said Marina when rose had removed enough earth with the garden trowel.
As Marina said it, rose took out the seed from the bowl and placed it inside the small hope, before covering it with the soil and watering.
"Good girl, if you keep planting like this, it won't be long before you leave behind your brother in gardening," said Marina, and the young girl's cheeks reddened. "Marina is right; it won't take long if you keep working hard like this," I said, and her cheeks reddened further.
"Brother," she glared as got embarra.s.sed; I just smiled and turned to the formation in front of me.
It is quite complicated. It is a formation that will arrange hundreds of ecosystems of plants, take care of them by watering them regularly and providing them with nutrients, and even harvesting them after the resources matured.
It is a vast formation, but far from complete. I am working on slowly, connecting each new ecosystem with it, in which I had planted the plants.
My plan is to create a vast garden covering the whole artifacts; it will be completely automated, with no interference. The formation will plant, care and harvest, and will even make its fertilizer.
The only outside things that will handle it are the golems.
Professor had found a huge number of golems in one ruin; I went there are brough them out. Those over three thousand golems would be perfect for this legacy of mine.
I am not just etching the formation on the ground, but the very core of the artifact that only I could override. Even the future headmaster will have a lower authority than me; they will be able to break it when they surpa.s.sed me in strength.
Two hours pa.s.sed, and the sun had finally gone down when I finally stopped.
I will resume tomorrow. I have nothing more to do; for more than two years, I have been planting and visiting ruins with Marina. Now and then, I would visit friends or attend some private functions like birthdays.
Marina and I have completely disappeared from the public eye; the last time we showed ourselves was at an anniversary function of the academy.
In a few years, I planned to hand over the reins of the academy to someone capable; I have an eye on a couple of people. As long as they satisfy me, I will hand over the academy to them.
I had asked both professor and Elina, but both have no interest in it; both of them focused on their progress and spending quality time with loved ones, as we are not going to be here forever.
A decade, two at most, before everyone leaves, including me and Marina.
We walked toward the house, invisible to the rest. Unless we want to, n.o.body could see us.
Soon we reached the house, the lake inside which is my house; we did not fly over it, instead sat on a small, but beautiful wooden boat that Marina had carved herself and roved in silence.
Even rose who was talking non-stop had quitted down.
"What do you want to eat?" I asked as we got off the boat. "I want to eat dessert today. The cake you had baked when you and Marin come to visit us and also..." she started to give me the list of things she wants to eat.
"The germs will eat your teeth's way if you eat so much dessert," said Marina after hearing her long list, "No, they will not," she said back.
This threat used to scare her before, but now it does not.
"Go freshen up, the dinner will be at the usual time," I said, and she went to her room, while Marin and I went to ours.
Click!
The moment the door clicked closed, I pressed Marina against the door and kissed her pa.s.sionately.
Even after years of being together, our love did not diminish, instead, it became even stronger.
"I love you," I said as I released my load inside her in the shower nearly an hour later. "I love you too," she said and kissed me.
A few minutes later, we walked out of the shower, changed into new clothes, and stepped out of the room.
Rose was in the living room, talking to her friends through projection.
Marina and I entered the kitchen and cooked together; I did not use my strings, just my hands. While we cook, we talked about things mundane things, but they bring me immense joy.

This makes all the pains I took worth it.
"What are you thinking about?" Marina asked. "Our lives, the joy this simple life is bringing," I said, and she smiled.
She opened her mouth to say something but stopped seeing sudden changes in my expression.
"What happened?" she asked, seeing the smile appear on my face, but it was not a smile that many people like to see.
"Found him," I said, and her expression also became serious as she did not need to ask who I am talking about.
