Chapter 2667: The Last Door

Chapter 2667: The Last Door

"With this, I am ready to open the door," I said as I laid out of the formation in front of the rusted door.

It is the door that takes me to the next place and likely is the door from which I will be returning and also the Grimms that went inside. Like all the seven formations, this will also activate the moment the Grimms step on it.

It is stronger than the seven formations; who knows, the Grimms inside received some benefits and gained some strength; I will need something to greet them.

Now, the only thing I have to do is open the door and go inside, which is a huge risk considering the Grimms that had gone there, and I am no match for them. The whole ruin is filled with the things for which I am not the match.

The reasons I am surviving are due to the support and supporting abilities I have and also sheer luck and dumb enemies. If the vidette b.a.s.t.a.r.d had been a little bit smarter, I wouldn't be standing here, ready to take the risk which is above my level.

The third door or beyond that definitely has something, something that is powerful enough to release a signal that reaches the mainland.

It is definitely above my level, and now I really think I should have listened to the council and let someone more qualified like Rai come in here, but the deed is done, and now, I have to deal with the problem for which I have come into this ruin.

The objective is clear: to get my hands on whatever the thing that had created the signal or at least stopped the Grimms from getting it.

Others might comment that considering my abilities, I should just stay here and trap the Grimm that came back, but that is a very bad idea. As who knows the Grims would come back from this door, a new door might form, and they would leave through it.

Not to mention, the formation I have created could have been dealt with. If I could do it, then I have no doubt that others would have secret methods and abilities that would help them, dangerous formations such as this.

I took a deep breath and looked at all my preparations, including the new purple brick beside the old one.

Hun!

Everything was perfect as it could be; seeing that, I touched the huge handle of the door and pulled, but it did not, and it made me frown and worry; I tried again and then again, but it could not be pulled away, and that couldn't help but make me worried.

I tried for a few seconds before releasing the investigative wave, and a moment later, a surprise couldn't but appear on my face.

"And from where the h.e.l.l could I bring such strength?" I asked myself. The formation of the door had been utterly decimated, but it still is not easy to open. It had sort of jammed and would require great strength to open it.

I don't think even Rsas would be easily able to open it.

I was about to begin drawing a formation for it when I suddenly stopped. "Nero, could you help me with the door?" I said, and Nero came out looking at the door excitedly. "I will see what I could do, father," he said and jumped toward the door from my head.

Halfway into the jump, he had transformed into the cloud and covered the edge of the door before beginning to seep inside it through the gaps in the corner.

Click!

A few seconds later, a click rang out, and the door slid opened before all the fog collected into the fog and transformed back into Nero.

"Good job, Nero," I said to Nero and petted him. "It was nothing, father," replied Nero with a wide smile plastered across his face. I petted him for a few seconds before he disappeared back inside me while I opened the door wide.

Like the two doors before, I could not see what was inside it, nor did I waste any. Since I had decided, I entered inside without hesitation.

Hun!

The moment I entered it, I received one of the biggest shocks of this ruin; within a second, I experienced many things, first was the suppressive formation, which immediately suppressed half of my strength, but it was not shocking; many runes have the suppressing formations.

The shock was the presence of thick first energy; it is here, and it is dense and trying to destroy this place, or at least these steles.

The place I have entered is vast, just as vast as the place of runes or even vaster considering, I could see the vastness of it.

It had filled with steles the size of the Grimm Monsters and were standing in the air in a concentric circle fas.h.i.+on, and each ruin was connected by a thick green chain. The steles and the chains seemed to be made of the same material and now are faded green in color with faintly s.h.i.+ning blue runes on them.

"f.u.c.k!"

I cursed and took a couple of steps back with sweat blenching my whole body in a second. It took me nearly a couple of minutes to calm down before I looked at the blue runes on the steles.

I was wondering why there was no psychedelic energy here despite the fact that every part of this world contains it. Now I have found the answer and answer these runes, which are filled with thick psychedelic energy.

For the first time, I am questioning whether I have made the right decision in coming here.

Those runes are beyond dangerous; each of them contains so much psychedelic energy and is so powerful that it will break the mind of the Grand Lord in seconds. It is the reason why the first energy is bearing down on these runes to destroy them.

Thankfully we are in ruin and not on the mainland; otherwise, the world would have been able to apply all its strength on those runes to destroy them.

Even if a single ruin got damaged or exploded, it would end me, and each stele contains thousands of them, and there are thousands of steles and chains connecting there are present here, but it seemed like there not much to be worried here about them.

The psychedelic energy here is lesser than what I have sensed in the other places; even kings would be able to walk in here.

Though, the suppressive formation and the worldly energy would crush them into a paste in an instant. One needs to be a High-Grandmaster here to survive.

I looked around and saw the world of steles, and they were placed in a concentric circle fas.h.i.+on. They are not moving, just standing in the air silently.

Hun!

'Flying is forbidden here,' I said to myself when I found myself unable to fly. I wanted to fly to the top to see the whole view, but the flight of forbidden, and so was jumping.

After reaching thirty meters high, an elastic forcefield stopped forcefully and sent me down hard that I was barely able to stop myself from cras.h.i.+ng down.
