Chapter 2656: Fis.h.i.+ng II
"Die, you b.a.s.t.a.r.ds!"
The Black Mantisman shouted as the giant phantom of Manstisman seeped back inside it, and the Mantisman disappeared.
The aura coming out of it made me shudder; it was very powerful, and I knew it had used a forbidden method to raise its strength such high. It is very risky to use such a method in such a place, but monkeys had forced it, and if I were in its place, with its abilities, I would have done the same.
Clap!
The monkeys, who had become serious for the first time, had raised their hands together. Their movements were very fast but felt very slow, and it felt like a minute and moment at the same time as their hands touched, and a gentle clapping sound rang out.
The clap was gentle, but it felt thunderous, and just as the clap rang out. Dense diamond energy burst out of that clap and covered both monkeys, taking their aura to the same level as Black Mantisman, even slightly higher.
As this energy covered them, the monkeys too disappeared, and utter silence appeared in the domain. The time is flowing slowly, and even a fraction of seconds begins to feel like a moment.
I knew both had launched their final moves, and it is highly likely to present a winner or at-will show who will win the battle.
Pachack!
"Dream of the dark night," A gentle sound rang out in the dark night, and with came the sound of the blade cutting through the flesh. The moment lasted long before stopping abruptly as if it was really a dream from which one abruptly woke up.
Thud Thud Thud Thud!
Just the moment ended, four sounds loud sounds rang out as the four pieces of dead monkeys fell down on the floor.
The result of the battle truly surprised me; I am not surprised by its ability to kill it. It had protection from the psychedelic, which is the biggest challenge, and was not dumb like a monster; it is an intelligent being with great experience in hunting monsters and us.
I am surprised at how cleanly it killed them; it did not give them even a chance to defend themselves before cutting them down into four pieces.
"f.u.c.king b.a.s.t.a.r.ds, they are really hard to kill," said the Mantisman as it deactivated its method, and instantly its aura became weakening before beginning to strengthen slowly.
"They are, but you are able to kill two of them; I would have died if I tried something like that," I said as I walked into the domain. It turned as it heard my voice and looked at me in shock with its huge eyes, which were bigger than my palm.
"Micheal Zaar, it seemed like the humans have sent you," It said, becoming very cautious. I could feel it was consolidating its aura rapidly to attack.
"Yes, me; as you know, we humans had too few High-Grandmasters, that they have sent me, who was quite busy with the project," I replied, to which its killing intent had reached so high that I could drink and I have to say, I like this flavor.
There is some darkness and gloominess mixed in the usual hate.
"So, you are involved in the project," It asked as if conforming to the fact., "Yes, but that did not mean anything, as the higher-ups had still sent me on this dangerous mission," I replied with a disappointed sigh, and my sword appeared in my hand.
"Then its better I kill you," It said with a ferocious smile and disappeared from its spot and came directly in front of me and slashed down its short sword soundlessly at a speed that I could barely track.
"You should have run away when I came waltzing down in your domain; even after killing so many of you, I rarely see any fear in your eyes. I just don't understand how to feel no fear for me," I complained as I stopped its sword a meter away from me and saw it looking at me with eyes filled with horror, which only came when I bound them.
"Though your appearance was at the right time, I really need a boost to survive in a dangerous place," I added, and the monster disappeared from its place, along with pieces of monster.
As they disappeared, I also moved; the domain would collapse in a few seconds, and seeing the destruction they have brought and the chaotic aura here, it won't take long for monsters to swarm to this place.
If the destruction hadn't been so vast, I would have cleaned the battlefield, but it is not a work of minutes but of hours or even day.
A few seconds pa.s.sed by as I moved fast but cautiously under the direction of Ashlyn when I began to the sounds of monsters and hearing the sounds, it was not just simple roars and growls; some monsters seemed to start fighting too.
It scared the s.h.i.+t out of me, and I became even more cautious as I moved as I did not want to be discovered by the monster.
Unlike that b.a.s.t.a.r.d, I do not have the ability to keep my domain invisible, and fighting without it would bring an endless swarm of monsters that would tear me apart.
While I am scared right now, there is a big bright smile on my face; the reward I have got is far more than I had imagined. To be honest, I would not think I would be able to get my hands on it, considering the gap of strength we have between each other.
It is very powerful, so powerful that I could only defend with all my strength if it had attacked me.
When I decided to come, I planned to fish it in the troubled waters and kill it in the hands of the monster if possible. Even when I had wrapped my strings around it, I had no intention to take it as I knew the monsters would go bat s.h.i.+t crazy, and no prize worth that risk, even a delicious Grimms with the bloodline.
As I would have been found out within seconds by those dangerous monkeys, I was not a match for them.
So, when it killed them, I was over the moon, and it was the reason I had dared to show myself in front of such a powerful monster. Who had some senses would have tried to run away, not that it would have saved it.
Now, it is bound as the runes spread inside and outside of it; within a few seconds, the harvest will begin, and after that, I will have that strengthening energy that I desperately need; not to mention the growth energy, but I am not worried about that right now.
Though, it was the main reason I have come to this ruin in the first place.
I am now giving more priority to increasing my strength, and if I had been outside of the high-psychedelic region, I might have even practiced my art to gain even more strength. This place required the strength the survive.
Fortunately, I have found the Grimm at the right time. It will help me a lot in dealing with monsters and their friends who have found this place.
Nero had already found faint traces of them a few minutes ago; there is a high chance they had already reached the destination, so I have to hurry.
