Chapter 2606: Cracks

BANNNG!

Its hammer, filled with the hill's worth of lighting, crashed against my s.h.i.+elds, covering them instantly. While the lightning covered the s.h.i.+elds and drilled inside them constantly, the ripple of the physical force moved on its surface.

Crack!

The power had really reached the limit, and the crack had finally appeared; it spread for less than a second before the s.h.i.+elds strengthened themselves and fixed the crack, but the Apeman caught, and it had brought a smile on its face.

"So, this is the limit of your s.h.i.+elds," it said with the killing grin, and again the lighting began to gather across its body.

The lightning is much denser than before, and each lightning bolt seems to have possessed more power. It took a second for it to gather all the lightning before it pa.s.sed it on its hammer and brought it down on my s.h.i.+elds.

The hammer crashed into my s.h.i.+elds, bringing the destructive lightning, which, if it struck my naked body, would have reduced me to ashes in an instant.

Crack Crack Crack!

The moment after it clashed, the cracks began to appear, and it was not a single crack like the last time, but multiple ones that began to spread over my s.h.i.+elds like spiderwebs.

These cracks spread for a second, covering nearly ten percent area of my s.h.i.+elds, before stopping and started recovering from the cracks, despite the lightning still seeping inside it every second.

A surprise couldn't help but appear on the face of the Apeman, seeing that; the const.i.tutional seeds have brought a huge change in my strings. One of the biggest is their resiliency and recovery; given enough time, these strings will recover from near breakage, and that is without taking even an ounce of energy from me.

"Good, very good; I like things that are difficult to break!" it said suddenly and closed its eyes for a moment, and when it opened again, its rocky brown eyes had thin arcs of lighting swimming inside it.

"Earth Smiting Lightning Serpent!" It said, and a huge amount of thick lightning came out of it and formed a snake around its body, and this snake began to absorb the lightning coming out of the Apeman's body, but to my surprise, the size of the snake did not change at all.

The only thing that is changing is its aura; it is getting stronger and stronger every pa.s.sing moment that I was barely able to stop myself from shuddering.

"Die, human!" It said and released that lightning snake coiling around its body.

SHAAAR!

The snake lightning snake whispers like a real snake as it comes toward me, and if I did not, the Grimm had granted the temporary consciousness to it, I would have definitely had thought this snake was a real thing.

BANNNG!

The snake crashed against my s.h.i.+elds, and the crash was so powerful that I stumbled on my spot; when I looked back, I saw the lightning snake coiling around my s.h.i.+elds.

Crack Crack Cracks

The cracks that had been healed by half begin to spread again.

The raw lightning power contained inside the snake is immense, and now, it is using that raw destructive power to crush my s.h.i.+elds, and seeing how fast the cracks are growing across the s.h.i.+elds, I think it might.

It took around ten seconds for the cracks to cover a quarter of the s.h.i.+elds, and the cracks are still spreading without losing their momentum.

"Human, this attack of mine is no simple attack; it will definitely crush your s.h.i.+elds, and when it does, and you come out, I will torture you bit by bit before killing you the most humiliating way," It said with a laugh.

I did not say anything to its provocation and instead concentrated on the cracks, which started to spread even faster as the snake brought out another power.

Powerful physical energy and internal energy burst out of it, and now with it, the crus.h.i.+ng force of the lightning snake had increased again.

Seeing the internal energy of the Apeman, I couldn't help but feel scared for a moment. If it had been regular internal energy, I wouldn't have been scared. Many Grimms practiced the arts; the Lizardmen had also practiced the physical art and had the internal energies, but it was nothing of this level.

It is level above the internal energy they had, much thicker, and it had the 100% synergy with the Inheritance energy, and if I am not wrong, then the art itself had come from its Inheritance to have such great synergy with it.

In a few seconds, the cracks have covered half of the s.h.i.+elds, and they are still spreading at an even faster speed.

I looked at things inside me worriedly before focusing back on the snake; I had no control over what was happening inside me, but I couldn't do much to things happening outside unless I was willing to burn my blood, and I might be a force to do that if the conditions did not change soon.

A few more seconds pa.s.sed, and the cracks had covered 75% surface of the s.h.i.+elds, and they were still spreading without losing even a bit of momentum.

I could feel the glances surrounding Grimms and Humans and knew the Apeman in front of me was ready to deal with any interference if they came.

There will likely be any interference; all the humans are fighting very strong enemies, and they will not give them any chance to come and help me. If I need any help, then I will have to provide it myself.

My expression became very serious seeing the cracks covering 90% of the s.h.i.+elds, and now, the snake had burst with more power, which immediately made the cracks spread at the double the speed of before.

"You should just call back you s.h.i.+elds human; if you do it, I will show mercy and give you a swift honorable death," It said, and it sounded quite serious that I had barely able to stop myself from laughing at its offer.

"No, thank you; I am fine as it is," I said as I watched the cracks reaching 95% and still spreading at fast speed. If this continued, then my s.h.i.+elds would burst apart in half a minute.

The cracks covered the 98%, and the smile on the Grimms face got even bigger as it looked at with deep killing intent. "You have refused my generous offer, human. Now, get ready for the most painful, humiliating death," said the Grimm with a laugh, but the next second, the laugh on its face froze away.

The cracks that had stopped spreading fast across the s.h.i.+elds and covered nearly every inch of it had just stopped.

Buzz!

Seeing a smile couldn't help but appear on my face as the inaudible moan escaped from my lips. The runes have finished the harvest, and now, they have released the floodgates, with the energy so powerful and delicious that I couldn't help but moan.

"Full power!" Apeman said with the gritted teeth and the lightning snake blaze, bursting out with three times more power than before, but despite such power, the cracks remained frozen; they had not moved even a fraction of a centimeter.
