Chapter 2567: Domains I

In front of us are huge elemental areas of domains; I could spot the poison domain and fire domain which are the biggest ones, while the earth and the lightning are slightly smaller than them.

These domains contain huge s.p.a.ce, miles of it, and seeing them, I couldn't help but become excited. Especially the fiery red domain, and I am not the only one who is excited; even the eyes of Rai are twinkling like crazy.

"Let's go to the fire domain," Rai said, and he instantly appeared at the boundary of the domain with Lady Atkins and me behind.

Rai took a step inside and with us following behind, and the first thing I felt was fire, raw, undiluted power that is not mellowed at all. It is a good thing all of us have a High Grandmaster cla.s.s power; if it had been a Grandmaster in our place, they would have burned to death instantly.

"Such a powerful raw elemental energy," Rai said and breathed in it as if it did not affect him at all, and a moment later, the scales beneath his skin lit up faintly.

I did not dare to do what he did; I still love my lungs and have no intentions of burning them to ashes.

His special physique let him do such things as breathing raw fire elemental energy; my body is not strong enough to perform such feat and remained undamaged.

"Why the energy here is not mellowed as outside?" asked Lady Atkins. "I don't know," I replied; I am spreading my soul sense, but this raw fire energy is making it hard, attacking it, burning it slowly, even when the power of rule-bending covering it.

We are just at the boundary of this fire domain; the deeper we go, the more powerful this raw energy will be.

Step!

We took a step and then another and then another; with each of our steps, the raw, fiery energies got stronger and stronger.

My armor accepted the raw energies that came at me and used them to reinforce itself. It had handled itself fine for a hundred some meters, but soon, the defense had reached the limit, and my armor began to filter the energies and send them to me.

Seeing that, I brough out the power of my fire const.i.tution and the immunity it provides me and also covered my armor with the power of sun rule, which instantly shot up the power of my defenses.

Rai seemed just fine under such concentrated raw energies; he seemed to be revealed in it.

His bloodline is fire elemental in nature, and the dragons were known as the lord of fires. He had incredible immunity against the fire and not to mention those scales hidden under his skin, which would protect him from any a.s.sault of this fiery energy.

I was quite surprised seeing the defense of the Lady Atkins.

It is the five-pointed star behind her. It had poured out a huge amount of pure water elemental energies, and Grandmaster Atkins formed a thick armor of it while placing the star into the hole that formed in the center of the armor.

I have to say, this star is quite a handy thing; with the energy, it has absorbed, it will easily last her couple of battles.

With it, she will have a constant supply of elemental energy, and it couldn't help but make me jealous. People with bloodline have really crazy abilities, Rai had his scales, and now Lady Atkins has her star.

We continue to move without stopping while looking around the red hot world around us, where everything is burning and exploding.

Unlike the mellowed elemental energy of the water, the fire energy is raw and explodes. The whole place is a minefield; the ground literally explodes beneath our feet, and we must take each step carefully lest we make something explode.

It is a violent, dangerous world, but one that is filled with the resources; they are energy crystals everywhere, hills and hills of them, and we are collecting a lot of them.

These crystals are different from the elemental water crystals; while their quality is about the same, these ones are quite violent and could explode with slight mishandling. Anyone below the High Grandmaster should not touch them; even the High Grandmaster should be careful when dealing with them.

A few more minutes pa.s.sed, and the raw energy began to strain me, that I had been forced to weave a second layer of armor with my strings.

I am not the only one that is feeling the pressure; Grandmaster Atkins is constantly pouring out a huge amount of water elemental energies into her armor from the five-pointed, while Rai had also activated a defensive method.

Still, he is far more relaxed among the three of us.

A few more minutes pa.s.sed when we reached the center of the place, where the fiery energies are so hot that a weak High Grandmaster might burn to ashes. Even I am having quite a problem. If I wasn't sure of the trump cards that would save me, I would have stopped a while ago.

We took a turn when all three of us suddenly stopped; at the near center, we saw something that nearly stopped her.

At the center of the fiery domain, we saw plants; we had never expected to see the plants, much less at the dead center where the raw, fiery elemental energies are most concentrated. Any plant here would be burned to ashes, but there, hundreds of them are flouris.h.i.+ng.

"What type of are those?" asked Rai, and I did not immediately answer. I had made my clone open a book to see if I was right, and it turned out I was.

"Gum gum tomatoes," I replied in a little awkward voice. The name is childish; I am sure the one who named this plant was likely a child.

"Gum gum tomato?" Rai asked in confusion.

It is clear he had not heard about the plant before, and I am not surprised as the plant is not rare. The only specialty of this plant is that it could grow in any environment and take the element of that environment.

I am also a little confused seeing it here, as the plant is not resilient quality like a common gra.s.s, which grows everywhere, but it was still able to grow here.

"It is a common tomato plant; they are not very resilient and shouldn't be growing in such an environment," I voiced my doubt. Though, I have some theories and would know the exact reason when I examined the samples.

"It might be some mutation," said lady Atkins, which is the most reasonable answer. A mutation is common in the plants, and sometimes, they mutate far beyond their original abilities. Though, there could be many other unknown explanations as well.

We will know which one it is when we get out hands on those tomatoes, as whatever the reason might be, those fiery red tomatoes are precious beyond doubt.

They have grown in an environment that could burn even a high Grandmaster to death; this alone is enough to prove they are special, and I can't wait to get my hands on them.
