Chapter 2538 Only Option

Thud Thud Thud!

The Grimms threw thousands of us unceremonious down; they could have been a little gentle, it wouldn't be any effort to them, but they did not.

Though, they did throw us down in a neat line that anyone watching from above would think we were sleeping on the floor neatly.

The Grimms left, not before they enveloped us with the dome of energy that a regular Grandmasters would have a hard time breaking.

It would make the chances of sneaking away even more difficult; I have been searching for a chance to sneak away since I saw the Black Sharkman, but I did not get any chance. Its soul sense had constantly been enveloping the whole area; it is very hard to get away without notice.

With it constantly looking around, I did not dare to even twitch. I am faithfully acting like an unconscious person as if I am unconscious.

Despite its constant surveillance, I did not lose any hope of sneaking around; I was constantly looking for a way to leave, and for it, I am even listening to it.

I have seeped my seeds into nearly all the Grimms I have come in contact with, including Mid-Grandmaster Werewolf, which is now in the conversation with the Black Sharkman, along with several other Grimm Grandmaster powerhouses belonging to every region.

I could see and hear everything, and if I wished to, I could even kill it.

Currently, killing the Grimms will serve no purpose, so I focused on listening to their conversations. Getting as much information about this pilgrimage, which even now, I have barely any idea about, but know it is deeply related to the const.i.tutions.

At the same time, I am releasing hundreds of seeds through me into the humans around me; as in this place, there are not only humans from the poison river region but also from the other region, and thankfully, I have more than enough investigative seeds to put in all of them.

Half a day pa.s.sed, and my expressions became grave; listening to tidbits from all the Grimms, including the Black Sharkman Fasra, I got a pretty good idea of what was happening in pilgrimage for centuries, and it couldn't make me angry.

They are doing something cruel and deplorable and also getting a huge advantage through it.

No, wonder they have so many Grimms with the const.i.tution, far more than we humans; they have been doing such things for thousands of years, in tens of ruins and on the mainland.

There is only one day, and I could not do anything against these Grimms. If that b.a.s.t.a.r.d Fasra hadn't been here, I would have ma.s.sacred all these wretched Grimms, but now, my survival has come into question, and the only option I have is fraught with the risk.

I could not even send the signals to the Pyramid; the whole place was filled with powerful sensors; the moment I sent it, they would discover it.

It would have been wonderful if Nero had been here, he would have been a great help for me to deactivate the sensors.

It seemed like my one wrong decision had created a domino effect where everything was going wrong. I could not see my way out of it, much less save these people. The only way I could see out of it could only be accomplished when various things fall into their places and have great for me and my potential.

I signed with worry and looked at the redwater fountain, spewing out a humongous amount of energy. It plays a huge part in what is about to happen next; without a constant stream of a colossal amount of energy, it would be too costly to power up this artifact.

A day pa.s.sed, and the whole day, I barely listened to the conversation of the Grimms or studied the const.i.tution. I only focused on the thing that would let me survive the Black Sharkman Fasra.

I had never wanted to be hasty with it; it had required months, and I would have given it. Though most of it is ready and I could safely do it, if I excluded some parts, I do not want to do that unless I am very sure they would not work.

If I skip them, then I would have to wait months, even years, before I get the chance at them, and that is unbearable to me as too many things depend on them.

.

"Is everything ready on your part, Haesd?" Fasra asked from its desk, "Yes, my lord; I have just personally checked the condition of all the goods, and they are in perfect condition for the transfer," The Minkman replied.

"And at your end, Yasr?" It asked as it turned to Goatman; "We have received the personnel from the mainland; all of them have been selected on the base of the data we have provided a day and a half ago," It replied.

"Everything needs to be perfect; higher-ups are breathing down on my neck, and now there is silence on the turquoise lake; I hope Gasv returns with the information soon," It said while ma.s.saging its huge head heavily.

"It should be some glitch; if the humans had truly come here, we would have known, and not to mention, even High Grandmasters would have trouble killing Jahs in that little lake his," The Goatman replied, trying to soothe worry of Black Sharkman and score some brownie points with its superior.

"I hope, what you say is true, but even if it isn't, it is fine as well; it had been a while since I had fought a human and crushed their bones under my teeth," It said with a vicious smile on its face, that made the Grimms around shudder in fear.

It enjoyed the look of fear in its minions' eyes as it got up from its seat. "Let's go; it is time to begin the transference," It said and strode out of the room with its minions following behind.
