Chapter 2496 Corrupted Pool
I packed all the lotuses except for one; the stainless blood soul lotus is the size of my two palms together and is completly blood red. It looked solid, but when one touched its petals, they felt faint, faintly immaterial.
This rose is half physical and half soul resource, an exceptionally rare one.
When the flower people dumped the seed of stainless lotus seed inside the lake, even they wouldn't have been completely confident that stainless lotuses would grow out of it. As these are very hard to grow, even when all the conditions are suitable for them.
The flower people were really something; they had not placed the body of the asar race man into the pool but also trapped its soul. What it had suffered would have been beyond torture, but that is what made these lotuses grow.
Stainless lotuses grow in the filthiest, corrupted environment.
This stainless blood soul lotus is a resource that will help me practice that method in the scroll, and I don't think I will be able to find any better resources than it.
The method in scroll said that a pure soul type resource is required for the best possible result, but I think stainless blood soul lotus will suit what I am trying to achieve the most. It is not just a method I am going to practice but also work to manipulate its flaws to suit my needs.
Sarah had finally harvested the second lotus and packed it before she walked toward her destination, the sword piercing into the heart of the asar race man.
She appeared on the stand in the center of the pool and looked; she did not touch it as I had expected her to do; instead just kept looking. It seemed like she was trying to make up her mind about it.
Buzz!
While she was doing that, the green and silver runes inside me have finally harvested the bloodline of one Grandmaster and Master and began releasing the strengthening energy a second later.
The strengthening energies from the two Grimm Monsters are slightly less powerful than the Black Horned Apeman, which are spreading into me, but the difference is minimal. The strengthening energy from all three Grimms is going to increase my strength a lot.
The plants inside also begin to grow rapidly, especially the metal essence tree, which is heavily absorbing the essence of a dead metal tree floating above it.
While my strength rose rapidly, Sarah finally decided to touch the beautiful green sword.
Hun!
She gripped the sword and was about to pull it out of it when she froze; all her movements froze, including her eyes which had become hazy.
I instantly looked at her metaphysical scan; I had deposited the seed inside her the moment we entered the corrupted blood valley.
While everything outside seemed fine, inside, it was not.
Powerful energy had entered inside her; this energy was the highest level one I had ever seen, and it had the flavor of similar energy as Sarah, just of a very high level. Seeing the level of energy, I activated all the stealth formations I had placed inside the seed.
The strange thing is, this powerful energy is not doing anything other than staying still inside Sarah calmly.
Everything is not calm inside Sarah; I am sensing a stormy fluctuation from consciousness, and these fluctuations are getting intense with each second.
Hun!
These fluctuations are quite surprising as they mirror the one when they are in battle and Sarah is frozen, but I am not na?ve enough to think that battles could only be fought with the bodies; they can be fought in the soul as well, and Sarah seemed to do that.
A minute pa.s.sed by and then two; I had even finished absorbing all the strengthening energy, but there seemed to be no sign of Sarah waking up. Instead, the fluctuations in consciousness kept getting intense.
'It seemed like she might take some to wave up,' I said to myself and turned toward the rest of the sanctum.
There are many precious things inside the garden, but I was surprised to see there was no spatial artifact in the view, which had kind of disappointed me.
I was kind of hoping for it after seeing the floor; not only there is no spatial artifact, but there is also no method. Usually, the tomb is the best place to find the methods; those who died leave behind the method as a form of legacy.
Still, there is some interesting stuff here, and I was about to move toward them when I stopped as a thought came to my mind.
I looked at the corrupted pool, which could be said to be the most important thing in the whole sanctum, not only corrupted water but also the pool, which is itself an artifact.
The stainless lotuses are the resources at the level of metal essence fruits, and they need the corruption to grow.
If I replace that with rule-bending power, I will need the humongous amount of it, which I could not give, not to mention an immense amount of resources if I were to create a corruption pool of my own in my core.
The better option would be to take this corruption pool, which had a lotus plant inside it, and with the growth energy, it would be easy for me to grow more lotuses. Which is better than starting from scratch.
As I had said before, the stainless lotuses are notoriously hard to grow, even when you make all the preparations.
Not to mention the level of corruption present in the pool is huge, even after hundreds of thousands of years and a lot of degradation. There is enough corruption present in the pool that hundreds, even thousands of stainless lotuses are produced through it.
Though taking such an amount of powerful corruption would come with its own risk, my core would not be able to handle the slightest spill.
Getting a pool would be quite hard, as it is stuck to the tomb with quite a powerful formation, but I have confidence that I would be able to do it.
