Chapter 2268 - [Bonus ] New Orders

I was moving the people in breaking apart the fort, and it is going quite fast; many people are specially trained in it, including the Masters like Neha and Edvin.

Buzz!

I was overseeing the process when the Pyramid badge on my chest buzzed, which surprised me a little, and I asked Ashlyn to keep an eye around before I seeped my soul energy into the badge.

The next moment, I appeared in the familiar white hall, and in front of me, seven council members, including the Grand commander, whom I had seen after a quite long time, sat. She is the only one who is present with a real body while others are in their projection, including me.

"Grand Commander, council," I said respectfully, bowing slightly. "Micheal, congratulation on your victory," the Grand commander said.

"Thank you, Grand Commander," I said. "We have watched the battle, and it is better than textbook perfect. You have made use of all your abilities and your armies while incurring minimum casualties; most importantly, you are able to kill a Grimm Grandmaster," She said.

"Those b.a.s.t.a.r.d are very slippery, but it seemed like it is very hard for them to get away from you; against you, they just disappeared, never to be seen again," Lord Whitmore added, and there is a strange glint in his eyes when he said the last sentence.

It is not just him; the other council members, including the grand commander, revealed that glint and change in expression hearing that sentence from lord Whitmore.

Killing Grandmasters is not easy when they have the option to run away, and in most battles, 80% to 90% of the Grandmasters are able to run away. It is quite hard to stop the Grandmasters from running away unless you possess a great advantage over the running Grandmaster.

While I am completely different, till now, I have fought against five Grandmasters; if one considered the Monster Grandmaster and able to kill four of them, only the Ratman had been able to get away from me.

I am sure these people have got a clear report of what had happened in the spatial realm and referencing with my battle data they have. They could easily tell that I have a very powerful binding method and the ability to make my enemies disappear forever.

"It was my preparation and luck that I was able to kill it," I said humbly; there is no way in h.e.l.l I am going to tell them about my abilities, and nor they are asking.

"We have called here for your new orders," Grand Commander said after a second of silence. "After you finished looking everything that is worth from the Grimm fortress, you will take your army directly to the Argan Fortress," Grand commander added.

The order had caught me a little off guard; it was not the order of charging ahead that had surprised me but the place where we were going.

"It will be done, Grand Commander," I said; the order is a little surprising and quite dangerous, but it is an order that I must follow without question.

"You will take control of Argan Fortress, and while the army there would be split to reinforce Fort Genevieve and Castle Candor," Lord Whitmore said, "Here is the copy of the order and other important details of the mission," He said and forwarded a file toward me.

"It is my honor that you have bestowed this great responsibility on me, but I wish to tell you that I do not have the confidence to defeat any of the Grimm Grandmasters of five forts," I laid out my thoughts on the new order.

"You may not have confidence in your abilities, but we have, and we are sure you are the perfect person to take the command of the fort Argan," said Grand Commander.

Her words were quite surprising to me that I was not able to reach for a couple of seconds. "I will not disappoint you, Grand Commander," I replied.

I opened my eyes; everything was going great in the Grimm fortress, but I needed them to be faster. "All units have one hour to disa.s.semble the forts; focus on the important parts first," I commanded through the comms.

"Have you received the new orders, my lord?" Camphor asked. "Yes, we are ordered to head to the Argan Fortress as soon as possible," I replied without turning back and began to lead the order and the file that is come with it.

It will take us around a day march to reach the Argan fortress, which is in the further north. The temperature there is very cold, so cold that only Kings and above could survive there.

The temperature is cold, but it is a problem; the problem is five fortresses of the Grimms, which our three fortresses are constantly fighting. With the new order, I will be taking command of Argan Fortress and fighting against the five Grimm Fortress.

The Grimms commanding those fortresses are on a completely different level, and I don't know whether I could match them, but since the council is had ordered me to take the command, I will take it.

An hour later, the majestic Grimm Fortress has disappeared, leaving behind useless rubble. My people were quite fast; they were able to strip this fortress of all the important parts in record time and organized themselves for departure.

"Let's go!"

I ordered, and I, tyrants and ten thousand Emperors flew toward the Argan fortress. With the victory, their spirits are high, and if we come across an army right now, they will fight even more ferociously despite being a little tired.

Though, I hope we did not come across any Grimm army; the battle they have fought earlier had been short but intense, and they are tired.

Still, there is very likely that we might have to face an army on the way to Fort Argan; I am quite sure we will; Grimm Monsters would not let me reach the Argan fortress in peace.
