Chapter 2059 - [Bonus ] Choosing Art
"You will get complete details of all the benefits; we will also provide you the list of inheritance artifacts, you can choose one of your liking from them," Lady May said.
Inheritance artifacts, or legacy artifacts, as they say, are very powerful artifacts that have been collected by the Pyramid over thousands of years. They are only available to Grandmasters, and Pyramid is very strict with them; only in warring times, they are readily available to Grandmasters.
Information about some of them is out, and I couldn't help but salivate at the thought of them, but before the artifacts, there is this I have to check; it is even more important than the artifacts.
"Grand commander, would it be fine if I take a look at the Grand Archives now?" I asked; my question seemed to have caught her off guard a little before her expressions eased up.
"All the arts in the Mystic Archives could only be practiced by the Grandmaster and above," Grand Commander informed. "I know, but I still want to take a look at them," I insisted.
"Fine, I accept your request for the merit you have provided," She said and turned to lady May.
"Lady Lenora, take Micheal to Mystic Archive," Grand Commander ordered. She nodded, and we both got up from our seats.
"Little guy, take these. I am sure some of the things here will be very useful to you," Said Grand Lord Gatlin, and a storage ring appeared in my hand without me knowing how.
"Thank you, Grand Lord," I said as I graciously accepted the ring and sent it to my core. Accepting is the only choice, and not accepting would have meant disrespect to him, and I do not want to cause any disrespect, not to mention I am quite happy receiving the rewards the old man had given me.
After thanking the Grand Lord, I followed the Lady May, and soon we have reached the teleportation formation and disappeared from our place.
There are teleportation formations everywhere due to s.p.a.ce here being very stable, which even Grand Lord could not break. Thus the teleportation formations became the fasters modes of travel, and they take less than 10% of energy than the teleportation formations outside, which makes them extremely efficient.
A second later, we appeared in front of a large door; the door is wooden one has a rough drawing of the animals that seemed to invoke the primal feelings in the one's heart.
Keee!
Lady May touched the door and, drawing on it, lit up before the door opened. The projection of lady May is not simple; it is not clear that it looked real to the regular person but also solid; it is made through the pa.s.ses of the Pyramid.
These pa.s.ses enable one to create the projection in Pyramid which they could control; they are so advanced that one could even smell and feel touch.
Not everyone could get these amazing pa.s.ses; they are very few in numbers and only given to the Grandmasters and above. Mom had received one a few days ago, so even when she left, she would be able to contact us through the projection as long as she is in human territory.
The pa.s.ses also work in Grimm territory, too, but they have the artifacts that could detect its usages, so the powerhouses are forbidden to connect with the Pyramid unless it is extremely necessary.
"Come in," Lady May said, and I entered inside behind her and found myself in a big room with the sixteen tomes placed on the white marble stools, and in the center of the room is a crystal ball which is s.h.i.+ning gently.
"You can look at the arts; all of them are quite interesting," Lady May said, and I had needed no indication other than that.
I immediately appeared beside the closest tome to me and took in my hands. It is quite heavy for even a tome, and when I turned the cover, I found its pages being the thinnest Ive ever seen.
The name of the art is Requiem of Hammer, a body refinement art that will forge the body with blows of a hammer. Practicing it, I would feel I am getting hammered in a part of the body the art is targeting, and it will be painful.
Regretfully, I will die if I dared to practice this art; it is not for the Tyrants but for the level above it. A single blow of the first hammering strikes would turn me into the pulp.
Still, when I read the details of it, I couldn't help but get shocked and wished its requirement had been lower by level. The physical strength it could provide me is beyond horrific; it is so great that I would be able to blast the s.p.a.ce apart with a gentle flick of my hand.
After reading the tome for a few minutes, I put it down with great regret and moved toward the second tome.
The art inside it is called a Scarlet Spindle; it is a soul art that would help one make strings of soul so fine that they could become corporal and affect the physical things. This art will help one create thousands of them, which inwardly strengthen the soul with an unbelievable degree.
This art seemed perfect for me; the strength of my strings would increase tremendously, and not to mention, I would also be able to do many other things with a strong soul.
It also came with a requirement, and it needs one to be Grandmaster at the least to bear its pressure, but as I read its info. I found that I could bend some rules, though it will be a little risky, I have confidence that I would be able to practice it.
I had already shelved it in my mind, and if I did not find a more suitable art, I am going to take this one.
The arts here for Grandmasters, but I am sure I could get my hands on it if I am persuasive enough to make her bend some rules.
