Chapter 1989 - Stardust Of Remdon
"What is this golden-silver thing on the meteorite?" Elina asked while still burning up the meteorite, "Have an about a think called Stardust of Remdon?" I asked back; she seemed to have heard about it as her eyes went wide and her hand, which is holding a meteor, started shaking.
"Shut up!" She exclaimed and looked at the meteor even more carefully, "Are you really sure this meteorite contains the stardust of Remdom?" she asked, "Yes, 100%," I said, everything I have read about it in the library held true, from the aura to color to the very faint vibrations it released when it burned.
"You lucky b.a.s.t.a.r.d, why don't I have luck like you," She said while hitting me on my shoulder with her other hand. "Like creating a bloodline core is not an extreme fortune," I said back. Hearing that, her cheeks reddened a little before she glared back at me.
"You are still quite lucky, I would say, Micheal. The stardust of remdon, it is resource ten times better than divine crystal; it will help you extremly," Elina said, and this time her words were serious.
"Yes, it is more suited for my purpose than the divine crystals, but there is one big problem," I said with a sigh. "Extraction, isn't it? From what I could see, this meteorite was made of agnor ore, and it will be extremly difficult to separate the stardust from it,"
"No one in the academy has that skill; only the refiners in supremes have the skill," She said with a sigh, "And you know how they are," I said, to which she nodded.
They take high fees or a high percentage of the thing, whichever they liked the most; I looked at a piece of meteor and stardust that is still flas.h.i.+ng on it. From what I could tell, the stardust present in the meteor in good quant.i.ty, I should be able to do even if they take a high share of it.
I continued looking through the stuff of the Viperman as I had barely started when I had found the meteor. It is filled with rare and precious stuff that even a fell Master cla.s.s Tyrant would feel jealous of it and now, it is all ours.
This time there was no disappointment in my mind; I inspected each and everything with great further and finished a few minutes later with a smile on my face.
"Let's divide the stuff," I said, and I gave Elina access to my storage, not the whole but the part where the thing of three storage was stored. It takes us quite a while, and we fight verbally for the things we both need before we resolve.
"This is the greatest haul I had ever received from my storage or ruin I had gone," Elina said giddily after we had divided the things. She had only taken the 20% of the things from the three storages, I had asked her to take more things, but she declined.
"We should rest a little before we head to the September Palace," Elina said suddenly, surprising me greatly. "We are still going?" I asked, to that she arched her brow and looked at me in the eyes. "You have found your thing, but I still did not get the guzzler I need," she said.
"It would be better than hiding in here till our beacon activates in few days," She added, hearing that I couldn't help but sigh and nod.
She is right; while it will be dangerous with the haul we have, but it is the best choice to efficiently spend our time. Of course, we could still leave the ruin, we just have to activate our beacons, and in an hour, we would be in the academy, but we do not want to do that.
Time pa.s.sed by, and soon the nine days had pa.s.sed; we went to September Palace and have got a great haul there and also fought Grimm Monsters and some humans who were after our wealth; thankfully, we have not come across any Master cla.s.s Tyrant, we were very careful about it.
The ruin had been beyond fulfilling; we have got huge wealth like never before; the only thing that disappointed us was that we have not able to find the guzzler.
It is not that surprising that we have not found it; it is an extremly rare artifact and precious to the people who used to live in this ruin. Even if they want to spare some legacy to the later generation, they will not leave too many devices like guzzler here; even leaving one was the expression of their generosity.
"Are you to ready go back? They would be pretty shocked," I asked Elina, "A shock would be an understatement," She said as she looked at the beacon band on her hand.
"And by the way, I am not the only one who made the giant leap. The leap you have taken is even bigger than mine; I mean, Emperor having a power of Peak Leader cla.s.s Tyrant is the stuff of legend," she said as she looked directly into my eyes.
A few days ago, we came across something against which I had to fight with all my strength and ended up revealing it all to Elina.
We remained silent for few minutes before Elina's face became serious, and sadness that she had kept deeply hidden in her eyes came out. "My parents are getting a divorce; all the formalities of it had been done, they will announce their separation in few weeks," Elina said.
I couldn't help but sigh hearing that.
I knew that Elina's father and teacher were taking the couple counseling and thought there was hope for their marriage, but it looked like there wasn't.
"I am sure both of them must have thought it through before making that decision," I said as I placed my hands on her shoulder and took her for a hug.. Divorces of parents are always hard for the children, no matter how old they are.
