Chapter 1975 - Lab 16

"It looks like getting 'The Guzzler' has become even more essential for me," Elina said as she walked out of the formation.

"Yes, you really need it," I said.

If I had come to this Ruin for resin, then Elina had come for the 'The Guzzler.' Or the Bloodline Augmentation Artifact as it is called.

The guzzler helps in increasing the purity of one's bloodline, though it consumes a humongous amount of resources, and the increse it gives is slow; over time, it became huge help, and nearly all the people here with bloodline have come for this thing.

We need that thing; it will not only help for Elina but Professor too; she too has a bloodline and other members of the Academy with bloodline.

Powerful organizations and bloodline families have such artifacts, and they guard it with their very life; it is due to such artifacts, they have not lost their bloodline legacies. It is common knowledge that children whose parents have a high purity of bloodline easily inherit their parent's bloodline.

According to the information, in this Ruin, only one person was able to acquire the guzzler, and that is the person with high standing in Pyramid, who was able to break the formation.

There might be other people who found the guzzler but did not report it, I don't know, but I know one thing. Finding that artifact would be quite difficult, but I will try all find it.

"Let's go; we have spent enough time here," I said, and we walked out of the hall. As we did, I found two gazes on me; they were of two Grimm Monsters who were shocked seeing us getting out, not the Azure Apeman they had expected.

Slice Slice!

I gave them a wolfish smile before disappearing from my spot, and the next moment, a faint sound rang out as I decapitated both of them and sent their bodies to a runic convertor; their bodies will be converted to crystals when we got back home.

I would have not killed them if the other leader were around but seeing two of them alone, I could not help but finish them off.

"Good job," Elina said as I returned to her smile. "It is better to kill them before they become a bigger problem," I said; she nodded.

Though the elites themselves are part of big problems to us humans, they are powerful and could crush the armies, me killing them is a huge service to my race.

"We are going to lab 16, right?" she asked as I nodded before we walked toward lab 16. It is an advanced Alchemical lab that is used to produce a necessary compound needed for the research, and the resin I need is one of the materials needed for the compound.

Soon we reached the door of lab 16 and saw it was closed as other doors, and there were also no runes are that visible.

Sigh!

Seeing that, I sighed; this is going to be painful; not actually painful, but resource-wise, I hope I will be able to reveal the formation as soon as possible.

The runes begin to come out of the air pen, every second hundred of them would come out, and fifteen seconds later, the formation is formed, which flew toward the door before pasting on it.

As that happened, I concentrated every sense I had on the door to search for the reaction, and I got it. a.n.a.lyzing it for a few seconds, my pen released a few hundred more runes. The runes on the formation on the door begin to move around to form a new formation while other runes are crushed into the dust.

Bringing out the runic formation on the door is much difficult than solving the formation and would need lot more resources.

I could make this process faster by using the few breaking artifacts Elina and I have, but those are for emergencies. For this place, we could afford to waste little time, but not the artifacts we have; those are for emergencies.

I have checked the storage for elites and leader cla.s.s Grimm Monsters; I had fought and found some things, but they will not be this useful.

Many of the people who came with us had gone to the place which's door had already broken, and there they might find the resources they already need, but we are not going to those places. We have very specific places in the mind, and with the limited time we have, we are only going to the places we have already decided on.

Buzz!

About twelve minutes and using a painful amount of ink, the formation of the door revealed for a moment before disappearing, which was enough for me. The calibrator in Elina's hand had captured it all.

I took the calibrator from her hand and began to solve the formation without wasting even a second before finally cracking it in one hour and fifty-six minutes.

Crack Crack Crack!

I once again took out the air pen and started to released the runes; a few seconds later, the runes had formed the formation and stuck on the door. The two formations glowed before they entwined and began to crack into the dusk; a few seconds later, the runes had disappeared, and the naked door remained in front of us.

Click!

"To the good fortune," Elina said and opened the door.

I did not let her go in; first, I appeared in front of her while activating all my defenses. This lab had taken quite many lives with its security formations. While my defense is nothing in front of these security formations, I have a number of charms, more than Elina.

If I had been stuck by any security formation and amulet activated, it would not only save my life but also Elina's.. Even if the amulet did not activate, there is a 50:50 chance that formation would turn off after killing me, saving Elina, who is behind me.
