Chapter 384: Let’s Take The Ferris Wheel Together

"I…"
This was a perfect example of face slapping. Seconds ago, he was claiming how difficult it would be for him to escape even with wings attached. Seconds later, he didn't even attach any wings and still manage to escape. If w.a.n.g Yu had wings, he might even pee on his head before escaping.
As he watched w.a.n.g Yu jumped out of their sight, Imperial Dragon Behead said with a blushed face, "Chase!"
As the members of the Land of Imperial Power saw Imperial Dragon Behead's embarra.s.sed face, they had to forcefully control their laughter. Without wasting any time, they ran towards the direction where Fearless and co. escaped.
"Where do we go now?" Ming Du asked in the guild's chat.
Earlier on, Land of Imperial Power had hundreds of people camping at the entrance of the Twilight Temple. This proved that they must have came prepared. Therefore, the Quan Zhen Sect would definitely be ambushed if they returned to their city.
Fearless replied, "We'll wait for the few of you at Sunset Village!"
"Sunset Village? It isn't suitable for protection right…" Darknorth Fisher questioned.
Sunset Village was a small village which the Quan Zhen Sect came across previously. It was a village with very low topography relief and it looked more like a small basin. The buildings there weren't high and it would be very easy for others to spot and kill them.
"Did I say that we're going to hide there?" Fearless refuted.
"Then why are we heading there?"
"We're heading there to eat all of them up!" Fearless replied.
"Boss, you got to be kidding right…" Cold sweat started dripping down Darknorth Fisher's forehead. That broken place would be problematic for them to hide and now Fearless wants to exterminate the enemies?
Fearless replied, "You'll know once we reach there."
The Quan Zhen Sect crossed the Dusk Bandit Mountain Range region with level 30 monsters. Ten minutes later, the two groups of people finally converged near Sunset Village.
At one glance, this small village was located within a huge depression. At the boundary of the village, there was a ma.s.sive waterwheel used for irrigation. There were about ten short houses located irregularly and a few NPCs were simply lazing under the sun. This village looked extremely harmonious.
There were level 40-45 monsters roaming on the fields surrounding Sunset Village.
These monsters were called Farmland Destroyer and Crops Stealer.
They were all human-shaped monsters in the form of Thieves. They have high speed, high damage and are incredibly hard to deal with. Even the Quan Zhen Sect didn't really want to provoke them.
Fortunately, these monsters would only act when triggered. As long as one does not attack them, they will not attack gamers. However, the moment a gamer attack any one of them, the group of them would attack all together.
"Everyone, be extra careful and do not touch any of these monsters. Otherwise, we don't need the people from the Land of Imperial Power to send us back to the resp.a.w.n point." Fearless warned them over and over again especially, w.a.n.g Yu.
w.a.n.g Yu is a skillful and audacious fella. There was nothing he didn't dare to touch or offend. He could run, jump, smack his b.u.t.t and escape easily while others can only await their deaths.
"Fearless, are you trying to make use of these monsters to deal with the Land of Imperial Power?" After skirting past the fields and reaching the centre of the village, Spring Halo furrowed his brows and asked.
"Indeed!" Fearless nodded.
"I don't think this will work. These monsters cannot differentiate people. They would attack anyone within the boundary of the village. What will happen if we cannot escape ourselves?"
Fearless chuckled, "It will work just fine if we hide in a safe spot."
"Safe spot?"
The group of them looked around and all they saw was a bunch of huts. These huts looked so fragile that even wind might be able to blow them away. How could these huts defend the attacks of the monsters.
"Have any of you sat on a ferris wheel before?" A mysterious Fearless popped a random question.
"Huh?"
Everyone was equally shocked at this question. What has a ferris wheel got to do with this broken place?
At this moment, Vainglory pointed to the ma.s.sive waterwheel as he shouted, "I get it now! Fearless' intention is for us to hide up there."
Everyone glanced over and instantly understood Fearless' words.
This waterwheel resembled the ancient China's waterwheel which was supported on the village's river. Because this village had a rather huge field and all of it's irrigation depended on this single waterwheel. This explained its ma.s.sive size.
The entire waterwheel was about 20 metres high. Each tipper of the waterwheel could definitely fit more than one person.
"Interesting…" w.a.n.g Yu scratched his chin as he asked, "How are the few of you going to climb to the top of this thing though?"
Currently, a gamer's shooting range was at most 10 metres. Therefore, they had to minimally climb above 10 metres.
Even so, everyone knew that the distance between tippers of the waterwheel was huge. Unless they were great climbers like w.a.n.g Yu, ordinary gamers like them would find it difficult to climb up.
Fearless answered, "It's easy. We will all hide in the tipper and leave one person behind to wheel us up."
"Haha, who is going to do this sh*tty work?" w.a.n.g Yu laughed out loud. w.a.n.g Yu had to compliment Fearless for his quick thinking but this idea was simply ridiculous. How was the person left behind going to get in one of the tipper then?
Everyone looked at w.a.n.g Yu and asked unanimously, "Who else?"
"F*ck…" w.a.n.g Yu was shocked, "Can't be me right?"
"Who else did you think it would be?" Everyone asked again. n.o.body had any second thought for this. For someone who could climb a 30 metres tree, climbing onto a waterwheel wouldn't be a problem.
"Since when am I strong enough to wheel everyone up?" w.a.n.g Yu was born with insane strength but this was the first time he would admit that he wasn't strong enough.
It wasn't his fault because it was how the system set it to be. No matter how strong w.a.n.g Yu was in real life, his in-game strength wouldn't match a Warrior.
"It's not a problem. Look at this ma.s.sive waterwheel. I bet it is not a manual waterwheel so there must be a switch or something somewhere." Fearless replied.
"Really? The game's technology is so up to date?" w.a.n.g Yu asked in disbelief.
"Of course! The power of magic is endless. This game even has flying s.h.i.+ps so is it really surprising that they have a switch?"
"True!" w.a.n.g Yu nodded, "All of you should get on it first, I'll go find the switch."
"Alright, alright, alright…" Everyone climbed into the tipper in a good mood.
Ferris wheel eh. In real life, those without a girlfriend would rarely get to enjoy such rides…
The s.p.a.ce in each tipper was big enough to fit exactly three people. Yang Nuo was initially unwilling to squeeze with these pervetic men. However, Fearless came up with an excuse that minimising the s.p.a.ce will create more damage on the ground. Therefore, Yang Nuo had no choice but to squeeze in one tipper with Fearless and Boson.
This made Ming Du extremely jealous as he turned to Boson, "Boson, change seats with me. I'll treat you to some good wine another day…"
"Old Li, you are more effective in attack if you stay with Brother Spring…" Fearless refuted.
"Bullsh*t! Who is willing to sit with this wretched uncle? You think everyone is Vainglory? Boson, hurry up and move!"
"..."
Boson glanced apathetically at Ming Du before wielding his sword. Ming Du saw this and changed his words immediately, "Alright alright, you can sit there. I get to sit there the next time…"
At this moment, w.a.n.g Yu really did find a faint blue magic switch at the bottom of the waterwheel. w.a.n.g Yu activated the switch and the waterwheel started rotating. Once the group of them were about ten metres high, w.a.n.g Yu turned off the switch. w.a.n.g Yu rubbed his fists and wiped his palms as he prepared to climb.
Fearless suddenly sent w.a.n.g Yu a message, "Don't come up first. I still have a task for you later!"
