He targeted Butler Lee to vent out his frustrations.
"Butler Lee, had I really gone overboard? I was just joking." He scowled.
Butler Lee cleared his throat first, seemingly trying to construct his response in his head. In the end, he simply said curtly, "A bit, Second Young Master."
After a while he added, "You see, the girl had a not-so-good first impression of you and had not recovered yet from the accident, then came your joke. How would you feel if she were you?"
"I see." It made Guangxi lost in thoughts.
"I cannot understand girls. They're so sensitive. They always complicate things! Like, most of my ex-girlfriends approached me first, but they also complain to me about everything, everything! And in the end, it's also them who'll break up with me, and them who cry as if I maltreat them."
He sighed. "Girls. Girls. Girls."
Butler Lee scrutinized him from the rearview mirror. "Don't let your sister hear those words." He warned.
"Yeah, or else I'll get into trouble. Well, she's not here. And she's different. I wish the other girls would be like her. Rather than complain, she does it herself, and she never relies on anyone."
Guangxi seemed to be affected by the girl, Kang Sola. He returned to the subject.
"Butler Lee, after you drop me off to my next cla.s.s, please go back to Kang Sola to the infirmary or wherever she is. Please relay my sincerest apologies to her. I didn't mean to pile one bad thing over another."
He looked out of the window. "You can give some of the cruise s.h.i.+p tickets to her. She can share it with her friends."
"You can observe the situation first. If you think that she won't accept it coming from me, you can just take the credit. After all, she's nicer to you."
Butler Lee agreed. "Understood. I'll do it according to instructions." He added after a slight pause. "You seem to have liking towards the girl, Second Young Master."
"Uhh no. Just to be clear, she's not my type. I just want to somehow appease her or what. Or probably just to appease my own guilt. It's my fault after all, why she got wounded in the first place."
Butler Lee did not respond to that. After sending off Guangxi to his next cla.s.s, Butler Lee did what he had been told.
He returned to the infirmary. He checked the emergency and outpatient wards. He thought that she had left the infirmary already. He was also about to leave when he noticed the girl's bike still parked on the side where bikes are tied. Not long after he saw her coming out of the building.
"Miss Kang." He called out. He went towards her.
"Mister, you came back. Is anything the matter?" Kang Sola cheerfully inquired, even after getting injured.
"I'm here to check on your injuries." Butler Lee admitted.
Kang Sola was glancing at the car parked along the sidewalk. Her actions did not escape Butler Lee's discernment. "The Second Young Master isn't here. He has cla.s.s. But he told me to return and check on you."
In the end, he could not hide that his actions towards Kang Sola were the Second Young Master's bidding.
"Thank you so much, Mister. You really shouldn't have bothered. I'm alright now, just minor sc.r.a.pes." She said politely.
"Here. These were some tickets for our company's cruise s.h.i.+p. Just a little token of apology from our end. We deeply regret how things unfolded today." He handed her the tickets. "You can share it with your friends."
"I-I cannot accept that. But thank you." She politely declined.
"I insist. Just a little compensation from the trouble we caused. It's really nothing from us. These are just leftover tickets from our recent sales. No one's going to use it, such a waste."
After a few minutes of hesitation, she finally gave in.
"Oh, alright then. Thank you Mister."
"You know, Miss Kang, our Second Young Master Guangxi is not really a bad person if you get to know him. I hope you don't get locked up with your first impression of him." With that, and a polite little nod, Butler Lee left in the car.
Kang Sola could only frown at the statement. She could not see where and in what sense would the boy named Guangxi be 'not really a bad person'. Probably, he was not the type of person who will bore ill intentions to others, but he was acting a jerk, and that's bad enough for her!
'I don't want to cross paths with him ever again. He's not nice, and he smells too much like trouble too.' She thought while gazing at the cruise s.h.i.+p tickets.
Her mouth twitched. The end curved upwards. Regardless, she had accepted the tickets so she was going to consume all of it.
She's already making pencil schedules and plans inside her head. She received five tickets. The tickets did not have a specific date of the cruise, rather it was valid for a certain period of time. She was planning on reserving two for herself and three for her friends. She could outright give it to them. 'No need to go with me.' She thought.
And yes, she reserved two tickets for herself. Simply because she was planning to take the whole cruise again for a second time. 'Excellent idea, isn't it?' She was thinking while her eyes glistened with her own brilliance.
'Are two tickets enough for me? Should I make it three for myself?' She thought. That was actually her dilemma, while she was walking away from the infirmary, and while guiding her bike beside her.
Kang Sola was a cheerful energetic girl of around sixteen or seventeen. She was a freshman, same with Guangxi. She was of pet.i.te stature with cute longer-than-pixie hair. What's interesting was that the tip of her hair was dyed purple. She also adorned her head with two horizontal clips overlapping each other, and thus forming an X shape. And like today, she rode her bike around school.
