Chapter 737 - A Win-Win Trade

Chapter 737: A Win-Win Trade

Though Xue Xingfu was a little reluctant to hand over the profit this easily to Wanzong, he believed Qin Feng’s decision was for the greater good.

The Dusk Dragon Event was going to offer a lot of unthinkable treasures. If Qin Feng could bring back a rare thing or two from the auction, it would benefit Fengli in the long run.

“Alright, I will contact them immediately.”

Although Xue Xingfu had not been on good terms with the people from Wanzong recently, they were all businessmen, after all.

Despite the conflict, their communication with each other was never truly cut off. On one hand, they relied on each other for information exchanged. On the other hand, they needed to keep in touch with what the other was up to recently. Exchanges between large corporations involved a lot of mind games.

With his broad connection, Xue Xingfu managed to contact more than ten representatives from the Wanzong side. However, none of them could take Xue Xingfu’s offer.

The amount of product Xue Xingfu had packaged together was simply too much.

As such, these representatives needed to refer to their upper echelon. After the information was pa.s.sed up several levels, finally an A-tier from Wanzong expressed his interest and wished to examine the goods.

Qin Feng was beside Xue Xingfu during the back and forth and nodded when he heard the reply. He said, “Tell him to come to Fengli City. I will meet him personally.”

“Noted!” Xue Xingfu quickly made the appointment. Both sides agreed to meet up on that very night.

The person who arrived at Fengli City was someone Qin Feng knew. His name was Zong Qianli, the person in charge of Wanzong’s business in the entire north region. His influence in the corporation was probably second only to their S-tier president, who was his father.

Zong Qianli was at least fifty years old and above. Being an A-tier user, he could easily change his outlook with cosmetic herbs. He appeared a mature figure in his early thirties.

Qin Feng walked up to him and shook his hand.

“Here is the CEO of my Fengli Organization, Xue Xingfu.”

Xue Xingfu was only a D-tier but he showed no fear in front of Zong Qianli. Instead, the spirit in his eyes beamed enthusiastically. His hair was erected as if he was ready to bite off a large chunk from his opponent’s body.

“Mr. Xue is very proactive recently, as I have heard. Honestly, if I don’t get your call, we would probably suspect that Fengli is planning to take us down.”

“Hahaha! How could that ever happen when Wanzong has someone like Mr. Zong? It’s still too early for Fengli to be Wanzong’s compet.i.tor.” The eyes on Xue Xingfu’s face narrowed as he put on a harmless grin.

However, that was only on the outside. Xue Xingfu was destined to become one of the most successful businessmen in the future. He would never be harmless.

This here was a man who could sc.r.a.pe you clean, and you might still be willing to thank him.

Qin Feng knew exactly what Xue Xingfu would become, while Zong Qianli was clearly intrigued by the two extraordinary men standing in front of him.

In this current world, there were a lot of combatants and little businessmen.

Yet right now he was looking at an uncommon combination of an outstanding elect and a cunning businessman. It was really hard to guess how such a combo would fare in the future.

“Haha, so you are implying that Fengli would indeed be our compet.i.tor in the future? Then perhaps we should be on guard.”

“Please don’t be. You know I didn’t mean that. We are now collaborating for a win-win situation. So, let’s be honest with each other.” The mind game had begun.

They conversed cheerfully as if they had known each other for more than ten years. Xue Xingfu was undoubtedly a master of negotiation.

Even though Xue Xingfu was the one mediating the conversation, Qin Feng had not been left out. Zong Qianli was eager to know about him too.

“I believe these loots were gained by Mr. Qin from looting the Dark Coalition organizations based near the Amazon, right?”

Qin Feng was taken aback but remained calm on the outside. Wanzong as a business organization was indeed well-informed. He had only been back from the Amazon for less than a day. Even Shang Han knew little about his experience there, but Wanzong seemed to have grasped most of the info.

He nodded and answered firmly, “Yes. They are filthy rich. I believe you will be pleased with the things I have brought back.”

“It’s hard to believe. What a brilliant young man you are.”

“You are flattering me. This is nothing worth boasting about.”

“No, no, this is no flattery. I know you are the real deal. Do you mind sharing with me how you defeated so many high-rank users?”

“I would say luck plays a huge role. They have been lacking sharpness and vigilance for a long time. That’s why my ambush was so effective.”

“I don’t think it’s all luck. I know you fought your way into the most dangerous city in the Amazon Alliance.”

“About that. I just happened to pa.s.s by the city. I had no idea then. Again, lucky, as I said.”

Their exchanges yielded little meaning. Actually, Zong Qianli wanted to find out more about Qin Feng’s strength and ability through the conversation. This would be useful for his organization in the future.

Yet, Zong Qianli realized he could draw nothing useful out of Qin Feng’s mouth. Qin Feng might be all smiles and not as shrewd as Xue Xingfu, but his mouth was equally airtight.

‘This Qin Feng is pretty sly too. Great, not as cunning, but still a fox, like Xue Xingfu nevertheless.’ Zong Qianli knew he would not get more than he already knew at this point. Qin Feng’s true strength was still a mystery.

He understood that Qin Feng was a B-tier and that was all. The young president of Fengli did not leak even a tiny bit of his power all this while sitting in front of the A-tier Zong Qianli.

In the end, Zong Qianli finally got some useful information.

“Mr. Qin, if I guess right, you plan to attend the Dusk Dragon, right?” Zong Qianli asked using a surprised tone.

The Dusk Dragon Event indeed was a place full of treasures. But the risk was too high. He never thought Qin Feng would want to attend such a dangerous occasion.

Qin Feng had no intention to hide this from him and admitted straightforwardly, “Yea. That’s why I needed the funds. Mr. Xue over here has already prepared some for me. However, the more the better. Besides, we have no doubt brought some inconveniences to Wanzong earlier. I see this as an opportunity for us to mend our relations.h.i.+p and achieve a win-win. So, please don’t be too harsh in slas.h.i.+ng the price later, Mr. Zong.”

“Hahaha. I wouldn’t do such a thing!” Zong Qianli replied with a cold smile.

“That would be the best. Why don’t we go and check out the stocks first? Mr. Zong, this way!” Xue Xingfu chipped in.

Xue Xingfu led the way and brought Zong Qianli to the sorting warehouse. Everything Qin Feng had gathered on this trip had been moved there.

When they arrived, all the items were being sorted out through different tunnels and evaluated at the end of the line. Other than some of the erratic items with unknown functions, most of these things that once belonged to an A-tier offered immense value.

After that, it was time for the heated negotiation.

Qin Feng followed them to back Xue Xingfu so that Zong Qianli could not overwhelm Xue Xingfu with the imposing A-tier aura of his.

Their negotiation lasted for seven hours straight. The deal was finally closed at 1,000 trillion.

If the news of Qin Feng having a vast sum of power credits broke out, even an S-tier would be intrigued.

Moreover, he was heading to the most treacherous place on Earth—the Black Citadel!
