Chapter 595 - The Shinla Devils

Chapter 595: The s.h.i.+nla Devils

Quong Po was rus.h.i.+ng ahead quite anxiously—which was understandable since he was worried for his daughter.

Whoosh whoosh whoos.h.!.+

Quong Po’s throwing knives darted out, swift like shooting stars, as they were journeying onward. The man was quite strong and powerful. Each knife hit precisely on the Insectoids’ heads. Even if they had not come out of their hiding, he was able to tell where they were by sensing their presence.

This was how a B-tier rolled.

After hiking for an hour, they finally reached the thirteenth region. The area had a huge ordinary-looking gra.s.sland, much like in other areas. There were also countless beautiful flowers blooming in the area too; however, there was weird vapor fuming above these flowers, radiating and glinting the colors of a rainbow.

As they saw the huge shrubs with the flowers about five hundred meters ahead of them, the party stopped their steps and put on their guard.

“I’ve come in a hurry so I haven’t done much preparation for this rescue mission. If any of you have extra medicines and supplies, you can sell them to me. I’ll delegate them to everyone.” Quong Po said out loudly.

Jiang Po smiled. “General Quong, you are already going to pay us the rewards. So, we could not ask you to do more than that. Leave these trivial matters to us. It’s just some herbs and medicines. We can handle them.”

After saying this, Jiang Po took out a pill and swallowed it.

The others frowned as they looked at Jiang Po. What a bootlicker! Although they did not mind handling these things themselves, they did not like Jiang Po’s brown-nosing att.i.tude.

Of course, they were not going to ask for money anyway when they shared their supplies. However, Jiang Po’s words made it sound like they were all greedy hyenas. As they rolled their eyes at Jiang Po, they waved their hands and said the general did not need to worry about them.

Many of them were C-tiers, meaning they all had great financial a.s.sets with them. Thus, it was quite natural for these guys to come prepared. Like Qin Feng, he always had some cleansing Lotus Seeds on him at all times. That was how they survived up until this point—always be prepared.

“Alright, I’ll leave these to you all then. Let’s go!” Quong Po nodded.

The party of seventy men clenched their antidote herbs firmly in their hands as they ventured into the thirteenth region. As they walked slowly into the place, Qin Feng suddenly frowned as he turned his head.

“Watch out!” Qin Feng took Bai Li’s hand and walked into a shrub of flowers.

Meanwhile at the top of a hill about one thousand meters away, several guns were aiming at the party.

“Oh, look! About seventy prey for us! Nice!”

A curve of grin beamed up on the leader of these goons.

One of the snipers frowned. “The apt.i.tude user behind the whole team seemed to have noticed us. Just now, I saw him glancing in our direction.”

“That’s impossible. Diran has already used his conscious energy to conceal us. No one can see us.”

“Yeah, Diran was a prodigy back then. He’s 28 years old this year and yet he’s already reached C5-tier. His powers are not on the same level as the other ordinary apt.i.tude users. He’s at least a king-tier! These men would never see us coming!”

“Yeah, and that kid hasn’t even matured yet. He might not even have pubic hair yet! Haha! This boy must be trying to woo that girl there!”

“How pathetic! He doesn’t even know what danger lies ahead of him. Haha! Perhaps holding that girl’s hand is all he could do before he dies!”

These men started to laugh out loudly as they mocked at the “kid”.

Yet, they seemed to have missed one crucial point. This “kid” was young indeed; but how did he reach C-tier and join this party? If this boy was a prodigy too, then he could very well also be a king-tier himself.

Meanwhile, Qin Feng was thinking to himself as he tailed behind the party.

‘Hmm, it seems that the rumor about Quong Po clas.h.i.+ng with the s.h.i.+nla Devils is true. Word had it that these villains cornered and murdered his daughter… Hmm, does Quong Po know what’s going to happen? Heh, still… slaughtering members from a dark organization outside of the Human Alliance could yield a lot of goodies!’

A curve of smile beamed up on Qin Feng’s face.

His real reason for joining the party was of course not just to rescue Quong Po’s daughter—it was because he remembered something from his previous life.

Besides, his internal energy needed just a little push before he could ascend again.

Ascending by killing enemies was always much faster than any rigorous training.

Qin Feng needed to ascend fast. So, this was for the best.

“This place is too huge! Let’s split up!” Quong Po said.

“Wait, General Kong! I found something!” Yuan Xiaoguang announced loudly. Then, in an instant, several vines grew from the gra.s.s, carrying a piece of cloth.

It appeared to be a dark crimson jacket, one that seemed to be made of good quality materials.

Quong Po’s face turned grim after seeing it.

“That’s my daughter’s jacket!”

“Found her!”

“Yay! Wow, so easy, huh?”

The others did not expect things to go so smoothly. They were also relieved that they did not need to split up. After all, this place was quite dangerous.

“Yuan Xiaoguang, where did you find this? Show us!”

“Sure, follow me!”

The party then followed Yuan Xiaoguang into the deeper parts of the area. The mist grew thicker and thicker as they ventured deeper.

Suddenly, in the mist, there was a faint glint of light.

“Wow! Pretty!” Bai Li’s eyes glimmered when she saw it.

A beautiful b.u.t.terfly appeared before them. As it fluttered its pearly white wings around, it looked like it was dancing gracefully in the mist.

“Careful!”

Everyone’s face turned grim.

It was a Blight b.u.t.terfly! The fabled silent killer in the thirteenth area.

Then, several more b.u.t.terflies appeared and danced together with the first b.u.t.terfly. These Blight b.u.t.terflies were as huge as a was.h.i.+ng basin. Their movements were not fast as they fluttered around gracefully, like they were dancing in a ball.

Despite their frail appearance, these b.u.t.terflies were C-tier insectoids—all thanks to their poisonous pollen.

After seeing more and more Blight b.u.t.terflies appearing and dancing together in the mist, all that everyone felt right now was terror.

Even Bai Li was frowning when she saw this.

Then, the mist around them started to get thicker by the second!

“We must act now. We can’t wait it out or else we’ll all be poisoned!”

Some men were already feeling light-headed and quickly gulped down their antidote herbs.

However, Qin Feng did not feel much effect from the Blight b.u.t.terflies’ pollens—this was probably due to him having consumed cleansing Lotus Seeds before.

Yet, these b.u.t.terflies… they were so annoying.

Thus, with a pinch of his conscious energy, Qin Feng summoned his Fire Dragon.

Bai Li anxiously said, “Hey, don’t burn them all to crisp! I want to use some of these b.u.t.terflies to make myself a pretty dress!”

Bai Li stared at Bai Li speechlessly.

‘Sometimes, it’s quite difficult to understand just what Bai Li’s thinking.’

Still, Qin Feng called back his Fire Dragon. It was a good idea to not reveal his hand for now. As such, he summoned his pocket dimension and pulled out a saber.

It was not the Verdant Emperor Saber. It was just an ordinary rune saber.

Still, the saber had some silver glints on its blade—it was the runes of a beast king.

“Burning Sword Glare!”

Voooom!

As his internal energy rushed into the saber, the silver blade became sharper than before.

“Dragon Steps!”

In less than a second, Qin Feng had dashed into the middle of the Blight b.u.t.terflies’ ball.

The Blight b.u.t.terflies seemed to have been spooked as they fiercely fluttered their wings.

“Whooos.h.!.+”

In an instant, wild winds started to blow!
