The group of eleven Blessed was walking through the Fortress sweating nonstop. As much as Noah had healed everyone's body back to peak condition, it still didn't change the fact that the Fortress was practically a mini hell. And for the Blessed who didn't have the skills to cool off or adapt to the fire, staying there was practically a torment.
Unlike what it was for Noah, who practically felt like he was in a summer camp, the energy he had expended had long since recovered by burning the monsters that the team had eliminated. And there was no need to say much about their efficiency.
The ten Blessed, with the help of the thirteen imps, were killing monsters very easily. After all, twenty-three against two was very unfair.
And a pleasant surprise for Noah was that the exp they acquired was divided between each one, that is, because he was considered as 14 entities (13 imps and himself), he kept most of the Exp. Noah always thought about this Exp system, how it was quite strange and with some logic flaws, but as the system never caused any problems for him, he assumed that this could have some greater meaning.
They didn't have to deal with many monsters until they saw something that characterized the boss's location.
Unlike the lava pools surrounding the Fortress, when they crossed one of the hills, a small black stone coliseum stood imposingly. Through the open spaces from time to time one could see towers of flame being launched up from the magma pools, saying clearly to any enemy who thought of approaching that they should be prepared.
This, however, did not affect any of the Blessed, even those who were here for the first time. Noah was not very surprised by this since he had already seen on the internet what the Fortress looked like. The description he found was very close to what he was seeing, so it was nothing much different than what he imagined.
But there was something he knew, in the upcoming battle some more Blessed ones would die. This Boss was extremely problematic to deal with because it was two Bosses at the same time. The advantage that the Blessed Ones obtained when they invade a Fortress and come across monsters that are very distant and that stand in fixed places, making it easier to deal with them, was totally annulled when they put in the balance the difficulty that they would be dealing with two Bosses at the same time.
The number of casualties on the team was expected to be that high before it reached that point. The problem was that having one less after Noah's departure left a hole in the formation that they didn't notice, causing the team's healer to die before even reaching the Boss. If the healer were still alive, hardly anyone would have died before that point.
"As with the other times, I wish you a great battle, I will give you all my aid and support," Noah said nonchalantly.
The other Blessed had to swallow all the frustration that they were fighting while Noah was just watching from a distance. While at the very least they were content with the help of his imps, after all, having thirteen more pairs of hands to help was already much more than a single Blessed One could offer, it just hurt their ego to struggle while someone just watched from behind like a king.
As in all, in the battles that had happened so far, Noah had set six imps to help Amber and the Blessed couple who came to help him as a way of thanking them for the attitude they had had when coming to try to help him, while the other imps kept running around the battlefield trying as hard as possible to get the eyes of the monsters got themselves without worrying about the other humans, which Noah told them not to care.
The entrance to the coliseum was quite imposing. Unlike the Coliseum that humanity had on their first planet, Earth, this coliseum was still whole. Despite some marks of wear and tear over time, the place was very much intact.
The Blessed knew that there was nothing more to be explored within that place. Countless other people had already searched every corner of this great place and could not find anything useful or valuable to take away, causing the following Blessed to just give up looking, but Noah was not like them.
With the excuse that he would go up to the audience's bleachers to watch the show from the best view, which completely infuriated most of the Blessed, Noah disappeared between passages through the coliseum and decided to venture through the place.
Unlike the other Blessed Ones, he had something different. The system prevented any kind of illusion from affecting him, that is, he imagined that the Blessed Ones might even have found nothing, but were affected by illusions that forced them to leave what they had picked up right where they had found it. In Noah's mind it made no sense that such a big place would have nothing useful or valuable.
Leaving the imps with the humans, Noah started walking around the place, always prepared to teleport to the group's side if any danger arose here or there. After all, if they died, it would be very difficult for him to defeat the two Bosses alone, meaning that even if he demonstrated that he didn't care, Noah was still invested in helping them ...at least most of them. He had already instructed the imps not to help two specific Blessed; their fate would have to depend on luck.
The interior of the coliseum, as well as the exterior, was very quiet. Noah's footsteps echoed around the place the entire time as if it were truly empty.
After a few minutes he felt through the link with the imps that their battle had started. This was the perfect time for him to look for what he had come for initially.
Strolling through the empty areas was just an attempt to try to find something useful, but there was a place he wanted to access as soon as he had arrived but he could only go there after the battle started as that was exactly where the Bosses were getting ready to deal with the challengers.
Descending the stairs unhurriedly, Noah quickly reached the ground floor, which was where the battle was taking place. But instead of going to the center of the arena to fight with the others, Noah went to the Boss' lair and found a saddle.
The humans had already come here after killing the Boss, but they never found a single egg, but without the restriction of illusions, Noah was confident that he could find something useful, and he was right. In front of Noah, hanging on a wall, there was a large black saddle with heavy chains hanging down that made it even more imposing.
"Yes! I was right!" Noah thought excited about the idea he had had of what he could do with the cell.
