Chapter 869: Witnessing History; Witnessing Miracles

If there was a question like ‘You can collect one piece of gold a day and the amount would double up the next day. Among the Ten Major Questions, the most difficult one was the Stone Pus.h.i.+ng question!

Its topic seemed very simple on the surface. Give the beast 20 cobblestones. The beast has to push and arrange every four cobblestones in a straight line. At least 20 stones must be placed out of 16 rows. 16 lines were the basic requirement. If 18 lines were arranged, then the reward of the Beast Valley Law would be doubled. If 20 lines could be arranged, the reward of the Beast Valley Law will be the spiritual enlightenment of the ‘Light of Wisdom’. Lastly, if more than 20 lines could be arranged, the reward will be the spiritual enlightenment of the ‘Glorious Light of the G.o.d’. The only problem was that no one in the history of the Beast Valley has ever managed to obtain the final tempting reward.

Like the Battle-Beast Sh.e.l.ls in the second level, this Stone Pus.h.i.+ng test has become a dead end for thousands of years.

Anyone could attempt the test at any time.

There was no penalty for failure, nor would there be any form of fatal punishment. Despite that fact, no one has been able to achieve success.

“Don’t worry about pus.h.i.+ng the stone, there is no limit to that. In order to ensure a pa.s.s on the first try, the Reaper Mantis checked the calculation backwards once more.

Finally, she looked at Yue Yang. Under his smiling gaze, she flew into the Pus.h.i.+ng Stone Field, approached the test monument and pushed the round stones as 53680912.

The test monument immediately flashed a bright light, indicating that the answer to this question was correct and the challenger had pa.s.sed the test. There was thunderous applause that broke out in the audience. Some of the beasts who had stayed outside were both excited and impatient at the same time. They couldn’t see the answer from outside, and they couldn’t understand the way the Reaper Mantis had calculated on the ground. They had to applaud vigorously while looking around, hoping someone would know about the answers to ease the regrets in the hearts of these failed challengers. Those who knew of the answers however, groaned in pride.

Who would just announce the answers for the likes of you? If you were such a big shot, try solving it yourself!

The successful completion of the first question greatly encouraged the Reaper Mantis.

If it weren’t for her being cautious, she estimated that she would be able to figure out the answer in five minutes. However, her results weren’t too bad either.

There were so many former challengers around her. They knew of this question regardless of whether they completed this test successfully or not, and they knew that it wasn’t a very easy question to solve either. According to a certain someone, a challenger had used 100 years to successfully acc.u.mulate the numbers by using the most basic superposition methods.

The difference between their levels of wisdom was the variation between 100 years and ten minutes.

Although not everyone had to spend 100 years, they were beasts. In the entire Beast Valley, the number of beasts who actually didn’t require their masters to aid in figuring out this question could be counted in one hand!

“Let’s work hard!” The Reaper Mantis who successfully took the first step clenched her small fist excitedly.

The rest of the morning was her moment to s.h.i.+ne.

One by one, the questions that were even unable to be answered by the residents of the Beast Valley were all successfully calculated by her. With her efforts, the problems have been solved one after another. The onlookers of both beasts and residents broke into a thunderous applause whenever she solved a question. Towards the very end, they even hyped her up and shouted frantically to make her energetic!

Solving simple questions was no longer the goal of the Reaper Mantis. Now, what she really wanted to go against was the Ten Major Problems!

Throughout the ages, countless challengers have been stuck at the ‘Wind Fire Water Earth’ question. After two hours of thinking and calculations, the Reaper Mantis had finally obtained the answer.

She flew into the test monument. Soon after, the others saw a golden light rising up into the sky for a long time. This was a special vision that would appear upon the completion of one of the Ten Major Problems. The audience, who originally thought that this little thing would be frustrated by the question, had a new surge of respect towards her. Wind Fire Water Earth— among the residents of Beast Valley, one million gold was offered to anyone who could solve it. However, it was rather a pity that those who know of the answer would never agree to sell it. Who would have thought that without the need of the owner’s help, and just solely relying on the efforts of the Battle Beast itself, one could successfully solve one of the Ten Major Problems that even the elites of the challengers could not successfully solve? “Woohoo!” The Reaper Mantis flew out and threw herself into Yue Yang’s arms, crying with joy.

The more she used her intelligence for the test, the faster she felt that her brain power improved.

When she recalled Yue Yang’s usual teachings and remembered that she could break through the most difficult things just now, she couldn’t help but burst into tears. Only Ryoma and the Sickle Weasel, as well as the silently gazing Poisonous Queen Bee, have the strongest confidence in Yue Yang. The three believed that Yue Yang would never brag about this kind of thing. He only said so because he was 100% sure that he was able to do so.

“Memorise the questions and do them slowly in the future. Now, there is not much time left. Let’s try to get this done by the afternoon because there will be a special training plan in the evening!” Yue Yang stood up and stretched.

He sent a secret order to the Reaper Mantis.

The Reaper Mantis was completely puzzled, but as soon as she flew into the Pus.h.i.+ng Stone Field and arrived at the test monument, she placed the correct answer according to Yue Yang’s request. As a result, a flash of golden light was illuminated towards the sky!

After she flew back, Yue Yang issued a second secret order as if he didn’t need any thought at all.

Another golden light rose ahead. Everyone looked at Yue Yang as if they had seen an actual monster.

They had seen their fair shares of insane people, but they really hadn’t seen someone with this level of insanity before!

The Ten Major Problems were easier to solve than him eating beans. The onlookers found that if there wasn’t a time difference between the Reaper Mantis flying out and in, this kid could even answer everything at once and illuminate all ten lights in one go.
