Chapter 751 – Whose Power Is This? (Part 2)

After Luo Hou’s body fell onto the blood-red altar, it gradually disintegrated. It was absolutely impossible for it to survive after it had been attacked by the dark-gold giant using the Power of Law from Yue Yang’s Card of Fate – [Sky Wolf].

As Navagraha Queen’s soul slipped out of the disintegrating body of Lou Hou, she glared at Zhi Zun, who was ready to release her [Light of Destruction], with a ferocious expression. It’s so horrible, “I’m dying, so I won’t allow any of you to survive. Do you know why I hid inside my ancestor Luo Hou’s body? Do you know why I chose to withstand your attacks in the vault of heaven? It’s because I exhausted all of my energy, so I had to offer Luo Hou’s body as a sacrifice in order to summon that shooting star. No matter who it is, anyone who is more powerful than me has to die! That arrogant serpent demon, Fei Wen Li, was just an [Innate] Elder, Heaven-Rank, Level One when she set foot in Heaven Realm. I watched her become stronger as she rose through the ranks. I’ve never lost to anyone. If you want to kill me, you must pay with your life!”

After listening to Navagraha Queen’s rant, Zhi Zun didn’t release her [Light of Destruction]. She just stared coldly at her, then she spoke in a frosty tone, “Are you finished?”

Zhi Zun’s summoning grimoire emerged. As it floated in front of her, she stretched out an arm, preparing to turn a page. She was determined to destroy Navagraha Queen’s spirit. She didn’t bother to raise her head, to look at Navagraha Queen, when she whispered, “Trash like you should have been cleaned up a long time ago. Now, I understand a little bit more about why our ancestors wanted the heirs of Tong Tian Tower to take out the tras.h.!.+ Since Yue Yang hasn’t yet awakened, I’ll be the one responsible for cleanup duty!”

Navagraha Queen’s spirit hurried toward Zhi Zun. Currently, she was desperate to possess Zhi Zun’s body. She intended to get it by using her innate skill [s.h.i.+fting Soul].

As one of Zhi Zun’s jade-like hands gracefully flipped over a page of her grimoire, she shouted, “Obliterate!”

Immediately Navagraha Queen’s spirit shrank until it was so small that Zhi Zun was able to easily grasp it in the palm of one hand. Just like crus.h.i.+ng an eggsh.e.l.l, Zhi Zun used her Power of Law to crush Navagraha Queen’s spirit—her spirit was instantly destroyed!

As Navagraha Queen’s spirit vanished into nothingness, she didn’t scream. She didn’t even release a plaintive wail! Navagraha Queen had finally been killed by Zhi Zun. Simultaneously, the bodies of the old masters, Zu and Wu, exploded, turning into wisps of black smoke that quickly dispersed.

Then, a grimoire, that had just reached the level of Holy-Rank, exploded in the void, releasing an immeasurable amount of energy between the heavens and the earth. Using her Supreme Will, Zhi Zun was able to fuse this energy with her Diamond Grimoire. Eventually, these two grimoires fully combined, glowing with a seemingly endless holy light. Navagraha Queen’s grimoire had completely disappeared. Only Zhi Zun’s grimoire could still be seen, floating in the air—it had evolved into a peerless Holy Grimoire!

Tens of thousands of brilliant lights coalesced, flowing around Zhi Zun. Then, they turned into a golden pillar of light that shot straight up into the sky. Almost immediately thereafter, her skills and level suddenly increased. It had been a very long time since she had advanced. However, now that she had finally achieved this goal, she didn’t smile.

Meanwhile, in the sky overhead, the shooting star, that Navagraha Queen had sacrificed the last of her energy and Luo Hou’s body to summon, had expanded to the size of the full moon. The light from it was so bright that the ground shone like silver. The ma.s.sive shooting star was about to obliterate the fifth floor of Heaven’s Stairway. Even with Zhi Zun’s newly raised strength, it was still impossible for her to prevent the shooting star from falling—because its size was just too monstrous!

Should she wake up Yue Yang and urge him to use his dark-gold giant and his Card of Fate – [Fate], that would allow him to control fate? Zhi Zun turned around and looked at Yue Yang, who had risen to become an [Innate] Elder, Earth-Rank, Level 10 while asleep. She wondered, “If I wake him up, will he be able to release that amount of power again? If he does try to do so, will it harm him, possibly damaging his potential?” After thinking this over, Zhi Zun decided against waking him up.

“Forget it. It was fortunate they were all still alive!” When Zhi Zun was about to pick up Yue Yang and carry him to where Queen Night was located, so they could escape from the Heaven Stairway together, she heard a trembling cry. It was a very natural, nature-like sound that was incomparable to any other creature. She couldn’t resist it, even when she used her Sovereign Will.

Yue Yang’s [Nirvana Flame Pillar] shot high into the sky. It was a hundred times higher than Yue Yang’s usual [Nirvana Flame Pillar]. Countless Fire Phoenixes, formed from Nirvana fire, flew so beautifully that it looked like they were dancing around the pillar.

Zhi Zun gazed up at the sky. Above the dancing phoenixes, she could see a wonderful being spreading out a pair of amazing wings. Then a crack, like a black hole, appeared in the sky. The shooting star, which was about to obliterate the entire fifth floor of Heaven Stairway, was swiftly sucked into the black hole and disappeared.

Even Zhi Zun couldn’t help but sigh deeply. The event had been beyond spectacular. That kind of power could so easily shake the heavens and dominate the earth. Would she ever be able to achieve this level of power?

“Wait! Something’s not right!” Zhi Zun suddenly realized that the surface of the shooting star had been covered with a ma.s.sive number of sword cuts before it was sucked into the black hole. This meant that the shooting star had been cut into small pieces, then scattered in such a way that they would all be sucked into the black hole! In all of White River Valley, only Zhi Zun had the skills necessary to perceive this. She was greatly shocked by this discovery. How had the ma.s.sive shooting star, which she couldn’t stop from falling, been cut into pieces with a sword—in complete silence‽

Who has power like this? Perhaps, only deities that exist in legends have the ability to accomplish this!

Zhi Zun stared at the shooting star as it disappeared into the black hole, bit by bit. Except for her, no one knew that without the black hole, the monstrous shooting star, which seemed like it would destroy everything, would have broken apart.

As for all the people on the ground, they would have an opportunity to watch a spectacular meteor shower. All of the pieces would burn up before they reached the ground, so nothing would be damaged, and no one would be killed!

Eventually the [Nirvana Flame Pillar] faded away, returning to Yue Yang’s body, as if it had never existed. Zhi Zun wasn’t able to calm down for a long time. With the stars of the entire galaxy overhead, in a naturally beautiful voice, she spoke to the dying old man, Si Hai. “Do you still want to fight? Elder Si Hai, it was you who broke your ancestor’s promise. Please, forgive me when I use my Power of Law. The next attack will decide our fates!”

“If I lose, can I atone for my crimes by committing suicide? If I do this, can you leave some seedlings, so my tribe can survive? Let You Jin take some of them away, okay?” begged the old man as he slowly knelt down. He already knew that he had been falling behind Night Empress, not because she was stronger than him, but because she used her battles to improve her fighting skills. When the main fight ended, their fight would end too.

Si Hai knew that he had lost his confidence and will. He knew that he could not escape, that he could only yield to his fate. All he could do was beg Queen Night for a promise that would give his Navagraha tribe a way to survive. More than anything else, he wanted to make sure that his entire tribe wouldn’t be destroyed! However, this wasn’t meant to be.

A furious high-level warrior, with a heart overflowing with pain, arrived. It was Ancient Demon King. He burned with a fire that could turn the world to ash. He spoke in a voice that roared like thunder. “Si Hai, You Jin, Li Pan, all of you. Today, I will take all of your lives, in return for Navagraha Queen murdering my subordinates. If I don’t kill all of you, I swear I’ll no longer be a demon!”
