"What Spell would you recommend for a beginner?" Elizabeth asked.

"If I recall correctly, you said you were a Time Mage? Unfortunately, our repository doesn't have a reference for that Attribute. But seeing how you used a Fire Spell earlier out on the day, I would recommend you learn the basic Fireball Spell if you were a beginner."
"Fireball? Oh, like an RPG…" Elizabeth muttered to herself before holding up her palm and imagining a perfectly spherical ball of flames. She felt stupid chanting, but to see the results this little exercise would bring, she said, "Fireball," before unleas.h.i.+ng a moderate amount of Neutral Magic. The teacher had said that by using Neutral Magic in conjunction with the image she had formed in her head, she would subconsciously transform it into the type of Magic required for the spell. This time, because she was casting a spell with an attribute that she already had innately — Good Tier Fire Affinity — she still used Neutral Magic to see if he was right about the Magic transforming subconsciously.
As she had been told to keep her eyes shut when imagining the form of her spell to make the process smoother, she only opened her eyes after the Fireball was cast. At first, she was confused at the looks of sheer horror, everyone was tossing at her. But after she turned to look at the "small" Fireball she had imagined, she was stunned to have seen it grow into a miniature sun; blazing calmly with pure and bright orange flames.
Quickly reabsorbing the Magic used to summon that t.i.tanic ball of flames, Elizabeth was shocked once more as she felt over a dozen times the energy she used to create the Fireball return to her system. She quickly absorbed all the extra energy, but before she could think to a.n.a.lyze what had just happened, a notification from her status functions caught her attention.

*New) Name: Fireball
Grade: SSS+ (Void Spell Seed: Base "Fireball" Incantation)
Fire Energy Cost: Varies
Description: One of the most basic Fire spells since the beginning of time.
Current Effect: Upon calling its incantation, the ma.s.s of flames used to create the spell takes in energy from the immediate environment to increase in volume until it matches the level of understanding the user has towards the Concept of Fire. Innately doubles the potency of the flames for every grade of Affinity above Trash-tier (Currently: 8x)]
"Mhmm… Nice~" Elizabeth chuckled to herself before apologizing to cla.s.s, saying, "My bad, I didn't expect for an incantation to bolster my first Fireball Spell like that." She found it fortunate that the Fireball just barely grew below the size of cras.h.i.+ng into the cla.s.sroom's roof. The others in the cla.s.s were also lucky that Elizabeth conjured a Fire Spell as her Affinity with Fire was rated as the highest in her current line up of affinities. Without such a high rating it wouldn't have been possible for her to control the fireball to the point of containing all the heat it emanated; the cla.s.s would have vaporized, had that been the case…
Standing up, Elizabeth excused herself from the cla.s.s after thanking the teacher for teaching her about Incantations. At long last, she had completed all the business in Tyre and could return to accompany her party at the Base Camp. But before that, she had to go through the busy streets of Tyre to reach to the City Gates. Without being able to burst forth at her full speed, Elizabeth took this time to enjoy another cup of Iced Tea as she was never fully satisfied when it came to the beverage.
Eventually, she reached the exit to the city. By the City Gates, Elizabeth did some light stretches as she finished her beverage as she was intent on making it back to Base Camp as soon as possible. She wouldn't lose a couple more hours by traveling aboard her tamed Macabre Moose.
As another cup of tea fell to Elizabeth's gluttony, she put the empty cup in her spatial ring. She was just about to start running as she pulled out the synched Enchantment that would point her in the direction of the Base Camp when a fleeting thought struck her, 'It'd probably be a good idea to start cultivating the Spatial-Temporal Change Mystic Art while I make my way through the forest.'
She started cycling s.p.a.ce and Time Magic through her meridians and acupoints. Though the process was slow, she would occasionally produce wisps of s.p.a.cetime energy. Her Mortal Mystic Art started advancing like crazy as her proficiency with s.p.a.cetime rose and in her current state, she took off.
Leaving behind the group of people lined up to enter the city looking in her direction wondering what kind of monster had just pa.s.sed by, Elizabeth quickly rose up to less than half of Mach 1 and kept a steady pace as she focused on keeping her s.p.a.ce and Time energies fused within her body.

Around half an hour later, Tyre City's Supreme Mage of Destruction found her own little settlement. Having made a significant amount of progress when it came to her s.p.a.cetime Mystic Art, as it was easiest to advance in the beginning, Elizabeth was rather thrilled to finally settle down and properly cultivate for a while.
Upon reaching the clearing around the tent-like fortress her father had prepared for her, Elizabeth slowed her speed down to the pace of non-pract.i.tioner. Even from a distance she could hear and feel explosions that originated from inside the tent, thus a bit of apprehension began forming in her head. 'What the f.u.c.k could they be doing?' Elizabeth thought to herself as she approached the tent.
When she made it to within fifty meters of the tent, a previously invisible diagram lit up on the ground and an unbearably loud noise reached everything within a couple kilometers. Immediately, the explosions from within the tent ceased as three people decked out in warring battle armor nigh-instantly appeared outside; they each looked ready to defend the tent to the death, even…
"Oh, it's just Elizabeth," Jane was the first to say. She also retracted her Evergreen Copper Sword and stood out of a batting stance before the other two.
"Welcome back, Master!" Tristan was the second to say. Only Sun didn't say anything as he thought it to be awkward.
With both men followed Jane in standing down, Jane chirpily walked over to Elizabeth and said, "Sorry, you triggered the Alert Formation I set up a couple hours ago. Could you give me your hand, so that I can inscribe a key? That way you won't trigger the highest-rated alert type within the Formation's registry."
[Name: Basic Alert Formation
Grade: Mid-tier Mortal Grade
Description: Created either in haste or from an apprentice Formation Master, this Alert Formation is neither terrible nor great; just average. Inscribed to have the standard three Alert Types: Low-Level Alert (triggered by creatures around level 1-5), Mid-Level Alert (triggered by creatures around level 6-10), High-Level Alert (triggered by creatures around level 11+).
Effect: Upon stepping within the bounds of the Formation without a key, one of three Alert Types will be triggered based on the intruder's Level, or approximate cultivation base equivalent.]
"Sure," Elizabeth extended her hand after checking the Formation's properties. She watched with a bit of amus.e.m.e.nt as Jane traced a relatively complex inscription mid-air with her Qi before imprinting the completed inscription on top of Elizabeth's palm. When she finally got her key, Elizabeth smiled and asked, "Say, how far have you come in the field of Formations?" Though she understood that most people wouldn't progress as fast as she did, she hoped there was a chance Jane would be able to help her momentarily with her Formations.
"I'm no Grandmaster Kurt, but with his teachings, I think I would place in the top 50 if the Formations Event of the Wus.h.i.+ Tournament were to take place right now." Though it sounded like she was bragging, in reality, her claim was rather humble. She was, after all, learning the style of the greatest formation expert on planet Earth.
"Mhmm… I picked up some Spirit Veins earlier in the day. Do you know any Formations that could increase…" Elizabeth didn't even get to finish her sentence as Jane was staring at her with stars in her eyes and drool coming out the left side of her mouth.
"Y-you'd r-really let me u-use a S-s-sprit V-vein?!" If Elizabeth didn't know any better she would think Jane was going insane.
"Y-yeah," Elizabeth said as she began taking steps back from Jane after she started inching her way closer to her with a twisted smile on her face. However, she was starting to feel a little concerned over Jane's behavior so she added, "First, I want you to show me what you can do with this Metal Spirit Vein… Please set it up outside of the tent for my Clearlight Sparrow…"
She materialized a Low-Tier Spirit Grade Metal Spirit Vein from her spatial ring and handed it over to Jane. Depending on the results she managed to produce, Elizabeth would give her different spirit veins to make use of. Thinking, 'I definitely wouldn't trust her with my Supreme Duality Spirit Vein if she f.u.c.ks this up…'
Jane carefully took the Spirit Vein from Elizabeth's hands and lifted it up as if in wors.h.i.+p as she felt this was a G.o.d-sent opportunity. She may have made the rather average Alert Formation that Elizabeth had recently a.s.sessed, but that was a couple hours ago. She had been practicing the Art of Formations for less than a day, so there was no telling what kind of improvements she could have made since she made the Alert Formation.
